I have been buying New Balance 4E shoes for many years because they fit my wide feet perfectly. The fit has always been excellent! Bought this a month ago for travel to Singapore and Vietnam. Needed a breathable comfy shoes that is good for standing up all day in hot weather. The staff at Rebel recommended this and it was perfect. I got half a size larger for swelling feet. Itâs amazing absolutely feet and back saver. Didnât get sore legs all month. Itâs breathable that even through heavy wet monsoon rain it dries overnight in normal hotel aircon. The white colour didnât get ruined, clean off easily. Very durable. I think this is the most perfect walking shoes I ever owned!!!!

I like the looks, weight and feel of this running shoe. I have an unusual size foot and like NB shoes because they carry extra wide shoes that fit me well. However, I ordered the size I normally do with all the NB shoes that fit me great. This show runs small in the width. It is tight on my foot where the cross training and 900 series shoes I can still get in extra wide are not tight. It is getting harder to buy NB shoes because they seem to be converting many of their styles to âgender neutralâ all in âstandardâ width. Well the entire country does not have standard width shoes. If they keep moving this way I will have to go elsewhere for my shoes because âstandard widthâ will not fit me.

I work in a warehouse, stand and walk on concrete all day long. These shoes ended up being too soft. I shouldâve gone for a firmer shoe. Iâm sure these would be considered comfortable due to the cushioning but they hurt my feet more. Doesnât feel like I get much support. They look nice and they felt fine for the first minutes of wearing them but less than an hour in them I felt pain in my feet and ankles. These are probably best for short wears and casually walking. I wouldnât run or work in them. Theyâre just too soft for me.
Have been wearing NB for many years and the last two years the shoes I always wore have changed. I loved the 940âs but the new model I had to go up a half size and to a wider width and they still didnt fit right. So I decided to try the 680V8. Same thing had to return because the fit was too small. I still wear the same size in every other shoe Iâve tried. Very disappointed. I then tried a 860 v14 in a lager size and there are ok but not completely satisfied with these either.
I have been buying New Balance sneakers for years as they have always been the best made on the market however, I cannot say that about the 680v8. The toe box is unusually narrow which is uncharacteristic for New Balance and the overall construction is flimsy. I only use these shoes to workout on a treadmill as they will not withstand any type of outdoor use. I am done with any New Balance products due to the fact that the last two pairs of sneakers hat I purchased were of inferior design and lasted only a few months.
I got the wide version of this. The shoes are comfortable and look decent. The grey version does not make a fashion statement. It is plain and does not draw attention to itself. The soles feel cushy as you might expect with a name like "fresh foam." The tall heel took a little getting used to, but only a day or 2. The shoes are light and easy to slip on if you leave the laces a bit loose. I have not gone running in them yet so cannot comment on that, but walking is definitely comfortable.
My husband loves the Quality of the shoes. He says that he loves the foam of the shoes and makes his feet feel very comfortable. The value of the shoes is worth every penny. The durability of the shoes is excellent . I love the style of the shoes and so does he. They fit him just right and he says they are very comfy. This is his very first pair of New Balance Fresh Foam 690 shoes he has ever owned he said this is new shoes he will continue to get.

I bought it in this july and within one month of use , stitching started falling apart. I only used the shoes for normal walking. I like the comfort but quality is not up to mark. I have own'd different pairs of shoes like Nike, Adidas . Sketchers etc and never had issues with them. Its pretty frustrating that , the big brand like NW shoes are having quality issues. I dont deny the fact this this is most comfortable shoe I own and I have bought one pair for my dad as well but now I regret my decision. I will try to return mine as its within 45 days of return window . I think I am gonna return which i bought for my dad as well ( its still in box ).
