Fuel cell Propel 5

Disappointed with the shoe. Had a similar pair of NB and the shoe was extremely comfortable. The new show had a similar sole but it was changed. Loved the first pair but I think I will look at another brand of shoe. Nike has something similar so I will go that route.

Runs too small. I have purchased previous NB Fuel Cell Propel shoes in men's size 11 and they all fit fine. I wear a regular men's size 11 in Adidas, Asics and Brooks and a size 10.5 in Skechers Go Run Ride 11 and Skechers Max Road 6. So, I always wear 10.5 to 11 in running shoes. After receiving these shoes my two big toes were touching and rubbing the end of the shoes toe box. I would have needed to have ordered at least a size 11.5 or even a 12 in these shoes, which is crazy because I always wear in between size 10.5 to 11. Not sure what NB developed these shoes, making them a whole size smaller than their other NB shoes, but I was highly disappointed and returned these shoes. They did look good though.

Thank the Lord I got these on clearance for only $40. One run. I repeat, one run. 5k. Tore the sides out and the black river came off the bottom of the left shoe. Going back to under armour.

Good shoe

I am a longtime customer who has previously purchased the 1080 - I switched because I didn't like the available colors with the new version. I love how much cushioning the shoes have. However, I wish the mesh used on the toe area was more breathable because my feet sweat

Great for plantar fasciitis
24 June 2024

These shoes are super comfortable. I work in a setting where I am walking or standing for 10-12 hours per day. These completely take the pain away from my plantar fasciitis.

High hopes fell flat
4 December 2024

I ordered wide shoes hoping for a wider toe box and it was worse than a normal width shoe. The big toe was crammed into the side of the shoe pushing my foot outward. IThe soles also looked like they were going to be more solid supportive foam but were extra squishy and I didn’t not feel adequately supported and that the soles were going to break down way to quickly.

Love This Shoe For A Variety of Running Uses
9 December 2024

The Fuel Cell Propel is a super comfortable shoe that can be used for regular runs, but also for tempo runs, and speed work. It is neutral, neither light nor heavy, but is very responsive and runs lighter than you might think based on its actual weight. It's durability is good for a shoe of its type, and I've been very happy with it.

Not worth it bc of squeaks, but it is what it is
20 December 2024

Largely good, but the midsole makes a squeaking noise from the compression of the foam material when walking and it’s incredibly annoying. This is NOT coming from friction between the floor and the sole making contact with it (ie, the sound it makes when you walk on a wet floor and it squeaks). This is from the foam compressing.Otherwise, I like the shoes just fine.

Was hoping for more out of this shoe
22 August 2024

I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the Saucony Endorphin Speed, so I purchased the FuelCell Propel after seeing multiple comparisons between these two trainers online. Unfortunately, I am pretty disappointed with these NB shoes. Compared to the Endorphin Speed, these shoes feel heavy, clunky, and provide much less energy return.

Yup

I am sixty nine years old and I run five miles three days a week. I have bad foot supination and I go through a lot of shoes in my travels. This is one of the best, consistent shoes I use for the money. Great cushion in the shoe to soften the pavement hits. I will keep buying this for jogging until they stop making them.
