New Balance | Mens 624v5 2E Black 10.5

These New Balance 624v5 trainers in 6E width were a lot more expensive than buying direct from New Balance who are currently out of stock - £70 normally at New Balance compared to £109.99 reduced from £139.99 at Wide Fit Shoes. As these are the only trainers which fit my partner with Primary Lymphoedema who is in his fifties and plays badminton and does a lot of walking, we had no choice but to buy them.These are really wide trainers and look like normal trainers. They are comfortable, but they do not last long but as the only trainers that are wide enough for my partner, we have no choice but to buy them so that he has something to wear on his feet.

I am on my 4th pair of these over 10 years, I have only replaced them because they are so cheap. They are the most comfortable and durable pair of shoes you can buy for the money. These have lasted years longer than my pair of new balance 990s while being less than half the price. Another pro is that they are mostly water proof meaning you can walk to work any time of year. HAVE BOUGHT NEW BALANCE FOR YEARS, ALWAYS EXCELLENT. LAST PAIR I HAVE BOUGHT (TWO PAIRS ACTUALLY, BECAUSE I USUALLY BUY TWO AT A TIME), THEY DO NOT SEEM LIKE THEY ARE NEUTRAL, BECAUSE THEY ARE CAUSING PAIN ON THE OUTSIDE OF MY FOOT. I AM ON MY FEET ALL DAY. ONLY HAD THEM ABOUT A MONTH, BUT AM ON THE NET LOOKING FOR A DIFFERENT BRAND. Like Walking On Clouds

Special wide fit that suits me perfectly. I walk up to 40 kilometres a week to keep my diabetes in control and have to watch for blisters or foot injuries vigilantly due to my condition. I bought my first pair in Tasmania after being in a great deal of pain due to the bad fit of my previous brand. The staff at Rebel Sport knew exactly what the problem was and fitted me up with the New Balance 624 wide fit shoes. I've just replaced them after a year and according to my Fitbit, I've walked 1,700 kilometres in them. They were still comfortable and not badly worn but Rebel had them on special so I bought a new pair. I'll never buy another type of sports shoe .

New Balance 624 Cross Trainers

Product received quickly and efficiently. This is the third pair of New Balance cross trainers I have purchased. A couple if issues -1. The laces seem to be very long, or they stretch over time. This makes the laces a bit dangerous as the end can hook round objects or the laces pulled out from being laced up. I suggest their lenght be reduced by about 4 inches for each shoe. Also, as the shoes wear the black soles can separate from the bottom of the shoe. Also the front of the bottom of the shoe can also separate right at the front of the shoe. I have fixed both issues with contact adhesive (Selleys Shoefix). Having said that, The 2 pairs shoes have survived reasonably well for 3 years each, so i am looking forward to "testing" my 3rd pair.

New Balance MX624AB5 (4E Width)

I have worn this style and model of shoe for a number of years. I also have a white pair. They are extremely comfortable for my wider than normal feet. I use them as dress casual and when getting a bit older as footwear when completing work in our car race team. They are excellent for long hours on your feet when required on hard surfaces. After that they get used as general gardening shoes.

On to the 2nd pair after 3500 km of use.

I walked over 3500 km in these shoes. Not at once, but on a daily basis over 18 months.The only issue is that on the stitching passes over my little toes, and had developed painful corn's to form. This area of the stitching is very stiff and does not give (stretch).Eventually, my toes split the vinyl, from the moving pressure point. Band aids on the toes was a blessing.Otherwise, my second pair (yes, they are wearing well at 1,000km) and is a 2E not the 4E of the original purchase, are a lot better and the corns have gone.Too loose a fit with 4E size on the 3,000km pair was a lesson learned as the feet squirm if too broad, especially as do a lot of walking on road chambers.I do find that for me, the shoes are too long, and rub on the heels.Those blessed with ... MoreI walked over 3500 km in these shoes. Seems good, but reserving judgment until they last

Default laces are marginally too short to use all the holes and still double-knot without using tweezers.Identical design features to my last pair, which lasted four years. How long are these new v5 ones going to last? TBA.Brick and Mortar store ordered the shoes in, but wouldn't order the insoles needed to make them actually fit my feet. Told me some would probably arrive that week anyway. A week later, no, they're not a standard item and they never get them in.

Very comfortable

One of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.I don't have huge feet but my toes spread out quite a bit. It's basically fan shaped. I've been doing a lot of research on foot shaped shoes and importance of having wide toe boxes.The barefoot shoes are expensive and they provide no support. It's probably really good for those who spend their time on soft surface but I'm a office worker so I walk on hard floors all the time. I wanted something with a good cushion as well as space for my toes.I bought a 2E of freshfoam 860.
