A Quality Supportive Shoe

The literature on running says regular runners should replace their shoes every 6 months. I'd had my Nike's far longer than that. Add to that, my podiatrist said I should add
some arch support to reduce the shock feeling I experienced with each foot fall. He said New Balance and Asic have a larger toe box than Nike. So next, I went looking at
internet reviews of Asic and New Balance and found that the recommended shoes among those brands are in the $100+ price range and that wasn't going to fit my budget.
So that led me to see what DSW had in the store. I tried New Balance on and what other reviewers say is correct -- NB runs snug so order 1/2 size up. I've been ru... Show more

I bought these shoes initially for walking but finally used them at the gym in a cardio/strength training class. They were very comfortable and provided good support in mid
foot as well as heel. They fit well right out of the box but afterwards I found a slight imperfection in one shoe- where the top curve before the laces begin is slightly slanted
which made that side feel narrower. Loosening the laces a bit helped. This is the only reason for the 4/5 stars.I have a narrow foot and these fit perfectly; I also like a wider toe
box which these have. So all said, I would recommend.

I originally bought these in the black shade and bought them again in the blue! When I tried them on in the shop, they felt a little strange because of the sole texture and
depth, but within hours of wearing them I was used to them! They are super comfortable and I feel so light on my feet. I suffer from flat feet and genu valgum (knock knees)
and so I needed trainers that would give me the right support. My feet are slightly wide fit too and these are perfect for the shape of my feet. I am usually a size 6.5 UK but
bought these in a 8.0 UK, so be careful of sizing issues!

Good shoe, good support
8 December 2022
I have several of these shoes and I can only say good things about them! I have bought a couple pair for a friend in need, too, and she loves them! They run true to size. The sole doesn't have as much cushion as an ASCIS GT-2000 or better, but the cushion is pretty solid. I use them for walking and my foot and heel is well supported. The toe box is generous. I highly recommend this style. I love the shoes and white/grey color so much I bought a second pair!... Show more

nice but narrow
3 June 2023
These sneakers are beautiful. Bought the white ones and they look great. However, the shoes are a bit narrow. If you have borderline wide feet, i would recommend buying the wide size as you can always wear thicker socks. I typically wear 8/8.5 and don't typcally go out of my way to buy shoes in wide, so for these i purchased the 8.5. The shoes JUST fit, but even after extra loosening of the laces, my feet still weren't comfortable so I just gave the shoes away to someone i know with narrower feet... Show more

Obsessed!
26 November 2022
Love these! I’ve been working out for 24 years and in the past five years I noticed my left foot started cramping. I’ve worn every brand! Even the super expensive ones which actually killed my left hip. Anyways, saw these and loved how simple they looked. Tried them on and noticed my feet didn’t move around inside the shoe. They fit perfectly. I’ve been using them for one week and obsessed! I use them for body pump workouts and walking on the treadmill. Highly recommend. True to size!... Show more

Returned Item!
27 April 2024
I bought these as a recommendation for flat footed people. Worst purchase ever for flat footed people. My toes were right up to the front (even though I'm size 5 and 1/2), I always buy size 6. My feet felt crippled in them. This was a shame because they look feel / good before you put them on. Unfortunately they were returned to New Balance this morning.... Show more

Shoes are ok just buy elsewhere.
17 January 2024
Shoes are good, my daughter says they’re comfortable for her PE lessons. Just avoid using sportsdirect. £5 delivery to store and it’s not even next day it’s whenever they have a truck going there anyway. Sportshoes.com or any other retailer will supply next day delivery to your house for £5 and if you for whatever reason don’t want the item there are no refunds just store credit, not sure how that is legal I have always been under the assumption under Uk consumer law you have the right to return an item for a full refund providing it’s in as new condition. I guess they operate on the assumption nobody is going to waste money going to court over a pair of trainers.... Show more

Sizing is off
18 April 2023
The sizing on these is so strange. My regular shoe size is 8, so I wear a 9 in tennis shoes (with orthotic inserts). This shoe in a 9 felt strangely small compared to the New Balance tennis shoes I wore into the store, and even the “wide fit” was surprisingly narrow. I could only try the 9 in store, and because it was so small I ordered a 9.5, and that one was far too big. I don’t know what happened with these. I wanted to return them, but they don’t accept returns without the original box (which I threw out because it got very beat up during the shipping process). Disappointed.... Show more

so much comfort!

The last pair of NB I had was purchased 4 or 5 years ago for walking. I'm a slacker, lol, so they just recently had broken down. I wanted to order a pair of the newest version 1080 but just couldn't pay the $$ since I was saving for vacation in which I would be wearing these shoes. So I ordered a pair of these 680v7's. I felt as though these were the closest NB option to the 1080. I love the extra eyelet at the top b/c I have very narrow ankles and many shoes slip on me. The extra eyelet allows me to lace them up with the runner's tie (have no idea if that's an actual term) and hold my ankle tight. Shoes arrived on a Tuesday and I wore them to Disneyworld a week later...no break in needed. They are like walking on pillows (I do also have an orthotic insert in them ... MoreThe last pair of NB I had was purchased 4 or 5 years ago for walking. They are like walking on pillows (I do also have an orthotic insert in them but it is stiff) The fresh foam makes SUCH a difference in the comfort. We hit the parks for 3 days in a row and only by the end of the 3rd day were my feet giving me issues but that's bc I think I ordered a 9W and probably should have gone with an 8.5W. I don't have wide feet but I like my toes to be able to move. I have a Greek foot with the longer 2nd toe and it makes buying shoes a challenge. I will probably end up purchasing another pair of 8.5W and selling the 9's.... Show more
