How about some colors we would actually want like the grey with pink/purple, light blue, navy, dark pink? I would love different colors. I only wear 990's because of plantar fasciitis and just wear navy and the grey with violet. Please keep those and bring back the lighter blue plus some other colors. Your womens 990 need color variety please. Won't buy the plain grey.....waiting for others...

I was excited to receive the Womens V6. I barely had the chance to assess them before realizing that the tongue loop on one shoe was sealed shut. I did not want to attempt a correction and so decided to return them as defective. Since there are no exchanges, I will wait for my refund to process before deciding if I want to trust the quality control on the next pair. Never had a problem with multiple other 990's. Will also be checking for further feedback from other customers.

I'm a hard-to-fit size - women's 6.5 EE. New Balance is the one brand who has faithfully made the 990 in my size and width. Each time there's a new version, I hold my breath and pray to the New Balance gods for the best.The 990v6's look much larger than the v5 (see picture for reference) but they fit/feel just fine on my runs. What a relief.This is the only shoe that keeps my little Fred Flintstone feet running mile after mile. Thank you, New Balance.

I walk a lot and like these sneakers for the support and springy feeling. My orthodics fit inside which is important for me. However, the tongue is flimsier and thinner than the previous model, making the laced up shoe very uncomfortable. I bought tongue pads which helps but I feel that should not have been necessary for a quality shoe.
I wanted 993- those are not coming back in my size-I tried a smaller mens size but no luck. These 990v6 looked better when I received them than online- so that was a win. However again these were too big. I typically get an 8.5 across the board in all shoes-these were too long and the toe area was pretty wide for a standard shoe. will send back for 8 but sort of nervous the toes will still be too wide 🫣
The Only thing I like about v6 is I can feel there is more cushion. I have never had to break in 990. This ridiculously expensive sneaker binds pinches hurts. I have to have tied so loose at top so shoe does not pinch whatever tendon is at top and hurts. I think they made instep shallower. So frustrated! I need to win lottery so I can have custom made running shoes. They felt fine in store but when I went for a walk all I could think about were my feet. Especially one side where I could not get it tied comfortably. 990s WERE the only sneakers with what I needed for comfortable walks
This version of the 990 is great but if you like a stiffer shoe this version is not for you. It is too soft for me since I stand all day. They are great with the ultra cushion insole though. It is a lot lighter than version 5 but not the same support. I also sized down to a size 6.5 because the 7 was way too big. Which is what I normally wear in the v5.
Extremely uncomfortable, which is ironic since the 990 is marketed as being so comfortable. So tight I could barely even get them on my feet. Felt like a whole size and a half smaller than what I ordered. The bottom of the tongue placed a ton of pressure on the top of my foot. Couldn't keep them on for more than 30 seconds.Maybe they sent the wrong size but with my size tags as a mistake - but it makes you question what's going on with the QC over there. Giving it an extra star because I do like the way it looks. It's unfortunate that I had to send it back.PS: Went through the return process but haven't gotten a refund after nearly 2 weeks.

She later emailed me that she could not give a discount for these shoes. I did purchase the shoes. Orders from NB usually arrive in about 3 days. This did not happen. I waited another few days. Finally, I received an email that they were out of stock. They were not out of stock when I orderedonline. Anyway, NB quit letting speciality store sell their 990, which I would of placed an order. They are heavy too. I always said, "If I had a pair of these on, I could stand in a hurricane without falling over. Hence, I call them the HURRICANES.) They will eventually get in stock. But NB will not let you know that they are in stock. You have to check for yourself. Another thing, when you run in these make sure that your calves are in good shape. Last, I put 650 miles on a pair of V5. Then I used them for walking another 3 years. But I weigh 98 lb. Have a good day!!!
wanted it for standing but gave me noropathy before i could try them out! i never even left the house! the 900 v4 were the perfect shoe u ever made for stability! why keep trying to recreate the 900v4 when u have already made the best! please start making the 900v4 again with no corner cutting! u will see ur old customers come back to NEW BALANCE! i NEED THE OLD 900V4 BACK!!!
