The New Balance XC-72 ‘Washed Henna’ pairs outsized branding elements with a rich color palette. Recycled textile in a faded red hue is deployed on the upper, fortified with deep red suede overlays and accented with an extra-large ‘N’ logo in white leather. Soft peach-colored accents land on the padded tongue and a vertical mesh insert atop the toe box. Lightweight cushioning comes courtesy of an EVA midsole, supported by a split gum rubber outsole built with two different traction patterns, one borrowed from the XC15, the other from the 375.
