A light weight refrigerant dehumidifier that is practically designed and sufficient to do a room size of upto approx. 30m2 comfortably at 35%RH, even when its 97% RH outdoors. Sufficient to do larger areas but not to much below 55%RH.Good value dehumidifier at the right price. Infact, I've bought two. I have found that it's a very well designed compressor that adds less than 1°C to the overall ambient room temperature, which is great for hot weather and high humidity. This machine's air vent is on one side only, and as such, you will need to position the unit in the direction you want the airflow. However, that said, it's perfect for those wanting to stabilise rooms at a steady constant indoor humidity level to protect air quality. It also doesn't, have a ... MoreA light weight refrigerant dehumidifier that is practically designed and sufficient to do a room size of upto approx. 30m2 comfortably at 35%RH, even when its 97% RH outdoors. A heating dehumidifier such as a desiccant dehumidifier is best for fast laundry closet air drying. That said, it will adequately dry clothes, but it is not geared to that specific purpose. It's primary purpose is to maintain healthy humidity levels at whatever your desired level. It has the option to set the levels anywhere between 35% RH and 80%RH. And a continuous mode that will aim to reach just 15%RH. I have found that when the machine reads 35%RH that it's actually about 40%RH on readings throughout the room. That's perfect for most applications. It is also fractionally quieter than many comparable 25L units. Bonus!Overall, the Newentor Dehumidifier is pretty good value for money. I can recommend it for maintenance of damp rooms and protection of valuable items which require a constant humidity i.e. classical string instruments and pianos, but any item really that is highly susceptible to moisture (including but not limited to homosapiens).Anyone living in non airtight, non thermostat reverese heating and cooling indoor environments, a dehumidifier is an essential. In Australia, it is now estimated that 90% of existing housing stock has some water related structural defects or damage. That's an alarming statistics of people exposed to mould and fungal spores and resultant known biological neurotoxins. We have unhealthy to extremely highly dangerous internal building air quality.

I waited to write this review as our basement is an old difficult one that needed lots of help from a Dehumidifier. Our house was built in the 1840's and this dehumidifier is the best looking thing in the basement, not to mention we no longer have the musty basement smell my kids say they love. This unit has been running non stop since it arrived in September. It is now almost January and I am so pleased. It has completely helped with our old musty basement smell. We have a large crawl space off the basement and we no longer have that dirt smell as well. Our basement is wet and damp and this might just be the best purchase we've made because my extra sensitive nose can now handle myself making trips down instead of sending another family member. We hope it continues ... MoreI waited to write this review as our basement is an old difficult one that needed lots of help from a Dehumidifier. I noticed some mold growing on my bedroom walls. I know that means moisture of some sort but still not sure where it came from all the sudden after living in the same place for 4 years. I cleaned the mold off the walls and ordered this little baby. I have to say I am very happy with its performance this far. It is small enough to fit on the bottom shelf of a small bookshelf I have in my room. Since I like a little background noise when I am sleeping I rarely use the sleep feature which makes the already quiet machine even quieter. There are several different colors of lights that you can select singly or let it rotate through all the colors or completely turn the lights off. You can see very clearly how full the tank is and it is very easy to get the tank out, empty ... MoreI noticed some mold growing on my bedroom walls. I feel like the atmosphere in the bedroom is dryer than it was before I made this purchase and that it is doing its job effectively and efficiently. I feel that it was a great value for the price. I will update in another month or two but I am very pleased with it right now.

I purchased this for my studio apartment while it was on sale. I live in Santa Cruz where the humidity levels have reached 90%. I've had this dehumidifier for about 3 weeks and ran it for most of the day for 2 weeks in the bathroom with the door open. Since then, it has helped clear the apartment's stuffiness and the dishes in the drying rack dried faster than without it. I like that you can turn off the LED light. One minor issue I have with it is the volume it operates at. The beep sound for turning it on is fairly loud. Night mode isn't much more quiet than its day mode. I'm still waiting to hear what the beep sounds like when the water tank is full, but I'm guessing it will sound like how it sounds when you turn the dehumidifier on. This is my first time owning a dehumidifier so the volume of its operation might be standard. I'm happy with this unit overall, and apart from the sounds, it works well for a studio apartment.
I got this for my bedroom which is on slab in the new house. I bought a couple of hygrometers and found that it stayed ~80% humidity if the heater wasn t running. My clothes were getting that mildew smell after about two weeks and I was worried what else was getting gross. After getting this for my ~200 ft room, it dropped the humidity to about 45% within a couple hours. I run it all day and turn it off before I go to bed because it s a bit too loud for me (my gf loves the white noise tho). It depends on the day but I ve been dumping the tank daily. Since using this, I haven t noticed my clothes smelling and the room doesn t have that dank feel. I also love that it s light weight and on wheels so it can easily be transported if needed. The possible drawbacks: it does raise the room temp several degrees above rest of the house. I kept the hygrometer on top of the unit just to compare and it s consistent on the higher humidity but drifts the lower it gets. Also, I haven t been able to reach below 43% no matter what. The tank easily comes out and has a sturdy handle but I can t seem to pour it out into a sink/toilet without spilling it. It might be user error but I found that the tub is a good place for spill free dumping.
I had a Frigidaire that I bought May, 2022 start freezing up on me a couple weeks ago. Lasted less than two years. Luckily I got the Asurion extended warranty and reimbursement was easy. I like that model and its features but the same model now costs $50 more than it did less than two years ago. Gotta love that. So I decided to search for a different brand and came across this one from Newentor. My first impressions are that it seems like a well built, attractive unit. It's definitely quieter than the Frigidaire and I never thought the Frigidaire was loud. This one also has a pump like the Frigidaire but it pumps from a few inches from the top of the tank instead of the bottom of the tank like the Frigidaire. It's definitely quieter than the Frigidaire and I never thought the Frigidaire was loud. This one also has a pump like the Frigidaire but it pumps from a few inches from the top of the tank instead of the bottom of the tank like the Frigidaire. That means the Newentor will always have about 2/3 of a tank full of water whereas the Frigidaire always emptied itself. I don't really like that about the Newentor but I suppose that could prevent clogs. The instructions do say to manually fully empty the tank periodically and I noticed the tank was hard to get back past the pump arm that drops down when inserted and pops up when removed. That's annoying. The Newentor also seems to pull less water out of the air than the Frigidaire in the same amount of time. I'm not too worried about it though because it doesn't really matter as long as it maintains the humidity level that I want. Following the instructions I let it run for a day on continuous and turbo fan mode which got me down to where I want (in a basement). Then I switched it over to the humidistat and turned off turbo. Seems fine now and it's comfortable in the basement. We'll see how periodically emptying the tank goes and if it lasts more than two years like the Frigidaire. It's just frustrating because these units never really seem to last well. In about 20 years of using them I've gone through at least 5 with the longest lasting one being about 7 years. When I was a kid my parents had one that was older than me and it was still going when I was 16. That thing had to be 20-25 years old at least. Why do they only last a few years now if you're lucky?
UPDATE: Although the dehumidifier didn’t work as I had hoped, I heard back from customer service and they were absolutely fantastic. We discussed my issues and based on that, they are sending me out another dehumidifier. I hope this one works well and long term.I have used this humidifier for less than 6 weeks. The first month it worked great. However, now the humidity level in my home does not go below 65. It stays between 65 and 70 which is too high. The first month it would remove enough water that the humidity level ranged between 50-55. I reached out to customer service with no success. I am extremely disappointed that it stopped working so quickly. I live in the South and without an effective dehumidifier, my home is very muggy. Yes, always damp rooms, that's the end of it now. I decided on this device because I liked the compactness. Unpacked and set it up in the basement because we always have to deal with moisture in the basement. I read the instructions, they were easy to understand and straight away first tried everything, I was impressed by how much water the device gets out of the air, I never thought that there was so much moisture in the basement. This morning I put it in the bedroom and collected about 3/4 liters of water after 3 hours. That's enormous. The ability to set time, humidity, and fan speed is also good. The device displays the current humidity and when it's finished you can see that the humidity has dropped significantly, which is also displayed. Conclusion: Good ... MoreYes, always damp rooms, that's the end of it now. I decided on this device because I liked the compactness. Conclusion: Good device that is stable is easy to transport thanks to the 4 steerable wheels, large water tank so that you don't always have to empty it (it's good that an automatic system stops when the water tank is full), there is also the option of connecting a hose. The timer allows you to let the device run alone. There are also other setting options for different rooms, so that one push of a button is enough to dry a basement room or the bedroom, for example. I put it in the bedroom in the evening and when we go to bed it turns itself off (timer) in the drying cellar I let it run in such a way that the preset humidity is specified and the device measures when enough moisture has been removed and turns itself off or on (automatic) I give a clear purchase recommendation The price/performance level is TOP and can only recommend it. PS, a work colleague came by and wanted to take the device with him because he had water damage ... The device is also ideal for this, so that you can get the moisture out of the walls !! - I want it for him rent out for 2 days.
This was a great little dehumidifier for our basement bathroom (fan in shower, but no windows for ventilation). It reduced humidity considerably, until it stopped working. Light was on, but plug became very hot. Then it stopped adding moisture to the attached repository. Unplugged and plugged back in, cleaned filter as directed. Does not take away moisture anymore.UPDATE: I contacted customer service, who replied immediately. They asked if I had done this and that to see if it would continue to function properly. I tried it all, but must have been stuck with a defective product. They refunded my original purchase price. Excellent customer service, so I will be buying from this brand if the need be in the future. Thank you.
I have a weather station installed on the same floor where i put the dehumidifier. I can read the humidity level before and after using the dehumidifier, so I know for a certain this machine works. I have not had other brands before, so I cant be certain if this is the best. It is very easy to setup, easy to remove the tank to drain the water. At high speed, I can definitely collect more water than the regular speed. However, this unit is really noisy. I've asked around and it seems like it is quite normal for dehumidifier to be noisy -- i'm not sure. I definitely cannot sleep with this thing in my room. During the day when I have to work, i would turn the unit down to regular speed so it's not so distracting. when i'm away from home, i'll get it up to full speed. ... MoreI have a weather station installed on the same floor where i put the dehumidifier.
