A clean, cute elegant piece!

The Newgate table clock is a very neat piece. I had my concerns about the quality but confirm that the piece is very beautifully manufactured. There is the classic alarm ring which I love and the smooth sweep is fascinating.

Exactly What I Was Looking For

Great retro feel. Clock is silent; no irritating ticking noise as I try to fall asleep. Alarm is accurate and loud without being too jarring. Some might not like that there is no light feature to tell the time in the middle of the night. I actually see this as a bonus as I hate counting the minutes until the alarm!

Functional and it looks great!

I wanted an actual alarm clock to use because I just don't like relying solely on my phone when I have something important to wake up for. I wanted one that runs on batteries (or, as in the case of this clock, a single AA battery), so that I wouldn't have to worry about it turning off if a power outage ever occurs.This clock looks great in my bedroom. I love the classic look. The alarm is loud enough that I do NOT have to worry about sleeping through it--as I have been known to do on occasion with my phone alarm, even when the volume is all the way up. The second hand makes no annoying ticking sound. And the quality seems high.I guess the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the price still seems a bit too high for what it is. Love this clock for my guest bedroom. I did get 10 percent off during the holiday weekend that we were there but now just two weeks later I see a bigger discount on this item.

Nice though not blue as I expected

The clock is as it is described. Arrived well packaged though I was disappointed in the color. I did not find it to be the blue I expected and I actually find the clock to seem to be cheap, not well made.
