Nextbase 128GB U3 Microsd Card

I have tried other brands of MicroSC Cards before, but they don't work in my Nextbase Dashcam. However, this genuine Nextbase MicroSD Card has the required standard that is needed for my Nextbase Dashcam to work properly. The purchase price of the Nextbase MicroSD Card was reasonable and it was delivered to my home very quickly, so I am very pleased with the efficient service that I received from the Nextbase company.I thought the

So far so good. Recommended for Nextbase Dashcams so purchased. Rather pricey but states these are best for dashcams and covers research costs etc.Only used for 1 month, perhaps an update review is allowed in 3 plus years.

Fixing a problem.

My 32 Gb Nextbase MicroSD was filling. I thought it was the problem because the dashcam was not recording. The Nextbase need to have a power source even when car is off, cigarette lighter, but my car doesn't have one. Have not rechecked to see if it is recording. I would recommend this to keep as many files because they take up alot of space and I have the rear camera that contributes to using space on the MicroSD.

High def video

Bought the item to replace old one. Wanted one with smartphone comparability. Very pleased with video quality. Fiddly to initially pair with phone. Can see live view through phone app but cannot review footage without stopping current recording and can only review footage when powered up in car, so bit restricting as don’t want to keep taking camera off mount plug into usb power and review footage indoors. Otherwise all good, just comforting to know have a reliable record of any incidents. Night time footage not great but adequate. Had to buy a Nextbase chip as it said my old one was incompatible though it works perfectly well in other gadgets.

Menu selection and sticky pads

Decided to renew all cams on my wife's car and mine after a hit and run failed to record on either of my cams.Set up.1) I had difficulty sorting out the menus. They are not blaringly obvious2) don't feel very comfortable with using sticky pads instead of rubber suckers. I've only had them on for less than a week so time will tell.3) make sure the rear ball cam connector makes a click sound.4) the cams can slide out of position on the magnetic mounts. I might try a small dob of super glue to fix.5) havn't investigated facilities of the wi-fi yet, hopefully it's got in-car playbck.6) seems to be working well.

Nextbase 422

I was told that Halfords are unable to fit this item in a Hybrid vehicle. They did this for another hybrid vehicle some 8 years ago. I therefore did buy it expecting the same suction pad fitting which would work as a temporary measure. Alas the fitting has changed so I am unable to use it until Halfords staff are retrained.

U3 Micro SD card

My Nextbase dash cam was doing strange things like recording some files but not others. Covid had resulted in less use of the car and therefore the dash cam so I had neglected to format the SD card every 2-3 weeks. Using the Nextbase U3 SD rather than a standard class 10 improved matters considerably and I think the quality of image is slightly better. Eventually the fault with my dash cam was a battery issue but the use of the U3 for a few extra pounds is worth the cost particularly if you had to rely on a file for evidence.

Unnecessary purchase

I have bought this SD Card online (Halfords website) along with a dash cam for my car, and this is because it was clearly advertised that the camera did not include any SD card. With my big surprise and only once opened the box, I have discovered that exactly the same SD card was already included with the camera. Of course, this has left me very disappointed. Otherwise, the camera itself works very well.

Works perfectly

I was concerned by some of the bad reviews which say that the622gw cameras freeze continually. I spoke to two helpful assistants at Halfords. One had one for six months and had no problems and both told me that neither could recall one being returned .It was stressed however that it did need to use the Nextbase SD card. I took that advice and bought the 622GW and the SD card. Now used it several times including two 150 mile trips. Had no issues at all and very pleased with the quality of both products.
