Nike Air Max 270 - Black

(8,596 reviews)

The Nike Air Max 270 Black is an athletic shoe crafted from synthetic and woven fabrics on the upper, available in black with University Red eyestays and heel panels. With its Air Max series, Nike revolutionized comfort and performance in running sneakers, beginning in the 1990s. Since then, the series has become beloved and sought-after for technological innovations and exciting design. The Air Max 270 is known for its lightweight wearability and airy feel, created by its comfortable foam midsole. A flexible inner sleeve encases the foot like a booty, and the Anthracite White and translucent red midsole offer traction and durability, accented by a black outsole. Nike Swoosh branding in white and Air270 branding complete the look. Our experts feel that the best feature of the Air Max 270 is the translucent red midsole, which offers functionality and a distinct look. The Nike Air Max 270 Black released on February 2, 2018, and retailed at $150.

For the styling, I give the shoes a 5 star rating, same for comfort and fit. For durability and quality of materials, it has to be a 1. When I saw the bottom of the shoe, I
questioned how long they would last. I bought multiple pairs and colors, but the Black/Bright Crimson/Blue/White colorway was my go-to. It’s approx. two years later and
they’ve all but fallen apart. The right air cushion has deflated and the sole is almost completely worn. I’m not hard on my shoes and I don’t wear them everyday Mostly on
weekends. Gone are the days of Nike shoes being made with quality, but pricing just seems to increase. I won’t be buying anymore of these.

I really wanted to love this shoe. It was comfortable and i could wear it for extendable periods of time. However, it has one very fatal flaw: Within 10 days of use, I noticed
scruff marks on the inner facing air bubble. They look really bad on an otherwise perfect pair of black sneakers. I purchased black soleley for the reason that dirt wouldnt
show and this was a complete bummer. I returned the shoe. I would recommend that Nike redesign the plastic of the air bubble to make it less prone to scruff marks. A quick
google on air max 270s shows that this is a pretty common issue and folks have resorted to all kinds of mitigations to fix it. I wouldn't expect something like this f... Show more

Dirty Shoes
5 April 2024
The bottom of the shoes were dirty. From the looks of it, the shoes had been worned and returned. When I order a pair of new shoes, I expect a pair of new shoes. What cashier is letting customers return worn shoes to the store. Apparently, Hibbetts associates. The shoes were extremely dirty on the bottom. This is wrong on all levels. Hibbetts, something should be done about this. They purposely shipped the the dirty shoes because they knew that they would not be able to sale a pair of dirty shoes in the store.... Show more

Looks Great, Not Comfortable!
14 February 2024
I really like the look of these trainers. They are stylish, and I'm able to pair these trainers with a lot of clothing I own.I buy a lot lot premium/expensive running trainers so I'm used to purchasing comfortable trainers. These unfortunately are not designed for comfort (or running). It's mainly for flat footed people (someone who isn't athletic), so if you have an arch, these are a bad choice. Also, not sure why Nike went down the route of placing the air bubble around the heel, and not directly below the heel (checkout some youtube video where the trainers are cut in half).Overall, if you want something that looks nice, these really do the trick. Don't be put off by the level of comfort these trainers offer, I think for most people, this won't be an issue. ... MoreI really like the look of these trainers. I would expect these to be cheaper as these are pretty standard, but prettier than your standard pair.... Show more

Needs better quality control…
18 December 2023
Ordered *early* as a Christmas gift for my son. I’m glad I checked the shoes before wrapping them! The box came damaged (no biggie) but upon further inspection, noticed one of the shoes looked aged. Maybe a display pair? No inside tissue wrapping like new Nike shoes normally arrive. These look to be clearly damaged and the fact that Nordstrom pegged them on an online order is frustrating. I’m now forced to hunt them down a week before Christmas. Please get better quality control on online orders!... Show more

Poor quality for a Nike shoe. Dicks has horrible return policy.
20 March 2024
These shoes were purchased a month ago. The inside sole is falling out. I went to return to Dicks since I am within their 90 day return policy. Dicks will no longer take any Nike or Adidas shoe for exchange/refund. You have to go thru Nike or Adidas warranty program. Nike will not exhange/refund since these our outdated shoes. They will only take shoes within a 2yr date. These shoes are dated 2/2022. I am now out $160. Think twice before purchasing this style or any shoe from Dicks Sporting Good.... Show more

Poor Warranty Service from Nike
4 March 2024
My son purchased these shoes with the money he had earned for school clothes. After owning them for over a year his left shoe went flat. We were excited to learn Nike warrantied the shoes for two years from the manufacture date and began the warranty process. Dicks instructed us to call Nike to file a warranty claim. Now we stand 2 months later and still no voucher from Nike. We have called Nike several times and each time they are polite but unwilling to expedite the claim. We just keep being told the voucher has been mailed out and should be there any day. Well that claim is no longer ringing true. Nike refuses to just give a credit for their online store or compensate the for the 2 month delay. Frustrated, just frustrated.... Show more

these shoes wear out quickly
4 June 2024
I’ve been wearing Nike sneakers for the past 25 years and never had a problem until this one. And I’m a 50 year old guy, I wear these shoes, maybe twice a week to do moderate workouts. After about four months, the air pillow on the left shell suddenly collapsed. I couldn’t walk in the shoe or use it anymore because it was uncomfortable. I wrote to Nike let them know that the shoe seemed to be defective and they told me that it was from normal wear and tear. The quality of the product seems to have diminished. My new favorite brand is Hoka.... Show more
