(1,098 reviews)

The Nike Air Max 90 Terrascape Midnight Navy Aqua is a forward-thinking sneaker that takes its inspiration from the iconic Air Max 90 and creates a shoe using largely recycled materials. This sneaker, crafted with sustainable goals, features an upper composed of at least 20% recycled materials. The base is a blue textile overlaid with a darker blue corduroy-like textile and dark-brown synthetic leather. A dark-brown synthetic also forms the mudguard and in place of the Air Max window, it features debossed branding. Light-blue eyestays match a light-blue Nike Swoosh that courses across each side panel and joins to form a light-blue webbing pull loop at the heel. The cream-colored midsole features speckles and is made from recycled Crater Foam. All of this rides atop a dark-gray speckled outsole crafted using recycled Nike grind rubber. Our favorite aspect of this sneaker is the sidewalls. Translucent sidewalls surround and support the Crater Foam, as well as providing a window for the visible Air unit under the heel. The Nike Air Max 90 Terrascape Midnight Navy Aqua was released on April 1, 2023, for a retail price of $140.

Whether I was out running errands, walking to and from the train to get to work and around the office, or even for a night out, these shoes performed well in every situation and have the versatility to be worn in various settings. I especially liked the translucent rubber that wrapped around the bottom of the shoe as it made me not worry about my shoes getting dirty while walking around the city of Chicago. My one complaint about this shoe was that the length of the shoelaces seemed a bit too long for me, as I'm someone who prefers to leave their laces undone and couldn't find the right balance between loosening the laces without making the shoe feel too wide. All said, these are a perfect shoe to keep in rotation for daily wear as they have the right combination of style, fit, and comfort that one would expect from an Air Max.... Show more

The plastic and rubber accents of the white shoe (and even the thread of the grid pattern across the fabric of the shoe) all carry the look of material that should glow in the dark (but they don't, I checked!). I understand that the speckled sole and features highlight the use of recycled materials, but to me it distracted from the look of the shoe. It may be the right fit for some, but I think this is a shoe that fits a personality, not something that is neutral or works for most.Aside from the subjective opinion of the looks, I had some concerns with durability. On my first try pulling the shoes on, the loop on the top of the back broke from its stitching with almost no effort. In addition, the stitching on the front of the shoe is already ripped and fraying. While these don't really affect the functionality of the shoe right now, they do leave me wondering about how well it'll hold up into the future.Overall, I loved how the shoe offered support to my whole foot which made it easy to wear around all day as a multi-purpose shoe. The aesthetic and some durability concerns left me less enthusiastic. The Terrascape 90 is offered in another color option that may better suit other tastes, and hopefully improved quality control will address the durability issues I (unfortunately) encountered!... The only area where this shoe underperforms relative to the traditional Air Max 90 is in regards to comfort. The downside of the sturdier sole is that it is a bit harder and less cushiony than others. I am not sure if it is based on my foot being a bit on the narrow side but the area around the leases is hard to tighten and there is a lack of cushion there relative to other shoes I have. This is more pronounced at the tongue of the shoe which is very thin and not super comfortable. The laces are a bit tricky than most to tighten but that does not have any material impact on the comfort of the shoe or otherwise. I have worn the shoe for entire days and it has not caused me any discomfort but it is noticeably less cushiony and snug than another pair of Air Max 90s that I routinely wear. Overall I really like the shoe and feel like it takes a proven shoe design and updates its look to be more modern with potentially better durability. The only sacrifice in doing so is a slight loss of comfort.... Show more

Great new style for casual wear
25 June 2023
These Terrascapes make for a great updated version of the already classic 90's, but the contraversial reviews had me questioning wether to purchase them. A lot of people have commented that they look great, but they are extremely uncomfortable. Trying them on out of the box, the shoes look like they are constructed well and they fit great. The tongues on them do fit in a way where they slightly push up against the front of my ankles, but its not to the point to where it causes discomfort or pain. That was my biggest fear. These shoes are pretty comfortable and I plan to use them for work. Got them on 50% off too. Im happy with them.... Show more

Love the look, wish I would have got a different color
30 November 2022
I know the title says I wish I would have got a different color, but to be honest the reason I got these shoes is because I have no white kicks in my closet. And these have done a GREAT job filling that void. I’ve just learned that for me and the clumsy way I drag my feet around, white shoes ain’t it haha. That being said, the shoes look great and feel great. I have pretty wide feet so I was worried they’d be too narrow, but they aren’t. I get complimented frequently when I wear them, even chatted with a guy who was wearing them in a different color way and owned all of them. So if you’re into that kinda thing they’re definitely a solid choice.I’ve tried my hardest to keep them clean but I swear I just must drag my feet around without realizing it because the ... MoreI know the title says I wish I would have got a different color, but to be honest the reason I got these shoes is because I have no white kicks in my closet. I think that’s just part of the territory with white shoes, so I think if I were to redo it I would get a different color way. In fact I might wait for these to go on sale or something and pick up another color. All in all, they’re great shoes. Classic look. Super comfy.... Show more

Nice Air Max made from recycled outer space!
17 May 2022
The Air Max Terrascape 90 is a nice and comfortable shoe to wear on a daily basic for most casual occasions.Fit:Typically Nike shoes run a bit small for me and the Air Max Terrascape 90 is no exception. My size is right between two sizes (7.5 and 8 US Men). I got a size 8 and it fits me perfectly. So it runs just as expected from Nike.Design:The white and gray give the shoe a fresh look from a distance, and, with the distinctive air bubble under the heel, the Terrascape 90 bring the typical Air Max look. As I am personally used to mainly running shoes and I am a very lightweight person, the shoes are quite stiff walking, especially the first half of ground contact. This effect might become less the more I wear it, but I personally prefer a bit of a softer heel to land on when walking. Conclusion:I really like the transparent part on the mid sole, and the dark gray, bottom sole being attached to this transparent rubber. It gives the Terrascape 90 an unique look, and gets me excited about wearing the shoes. Bonus points that this material is made of 7.2% recycled rubber. The shoes do require some wearing in, not for the comfort of the shoes, but for the movement in the shoes. Overall They’re plenty comfortable shoes to wear all day and a great addition to the Air Max series.... Show more

Really Comfortable Shoes
21 May 2022
The thing that really won me over about these shoes is that they are very comfortable. I thought that Nike’s React was as comfortable as shoes could be, but these are right there with them. That impressed me. I’ve worn these non stop since I got them and they immediately felt great on my feet, no breaking in period or anything like that. That was true for walking, a bit of light running, shooting a few baskets outside, and a few quick bike rides. I would say these are very versatile shoes that are ready for whatever I’m going to get up to on any given day. I’ll have to see about durability - they feel very sturdy, but the whether the white color will hold up to the daily grind will be interesting to see. I suspect yes based on the material quality, which is as you ... MoreThe thing that really won me over about these shoes is that they are very comfortable. For me - and this is pretty subjective - I felt like they narrow just a little more than I personally like at the front. I have bigger feet, and just prefer a bit less narrow a look.Overall, this is a great pair of shoes and I am excited to see this lineup grow as Nike continues to push their sustainability program forward.... I’m a air max fan, a bigger air max 90 fan than others..I was surprised to find this line is made with recycled materials.. initial thought was there will be tougher / harder material seeing the inner sole / foam looks recycled.. the clear-ish outer sole showing that material you can see that material.. I was shocked to find that wasn’t the case.. similar to my other air max pairs these are just as soft.Comfort was definitely not a problem. Solid pair to add to the collection.

Alright – here’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for! A random guy’s honest opinion of a pair of shoes you’ve been mulling over for the last few months, amirite? Wait no further! Now first thing’s first – I’m not terribly familiar with the air max lines, so this is a fairly new one for me. I’ve always leaned toward the slightly squishier soles/cushioning systems and comfort over some of the more eco-conscious approaches Nike takes. I was genuinely happy when I grabbed the box and saw, “Move to zero is Nike’s Journey toward Zero carbon and Zero waste to help protect the future of sport.” The silhouettes look classic, in my opinion, mimics Virgil’s off-white 90’s style. The sail colorway is extremely versatile and according to my wife, “great with any outfit.” The ... MoreAlright – here’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for! The sail colorway is extremely versatile and according to my wife, “great with any outfit.” The TPU panels add nice accents to the eyelets and what felt like a more secure fit. The heel counter’s pull tab gives the impression the Nike swoosh wraps around the entire shoe – which is a design cue I am really a fan of - It’s a nice touch. The fact that they used 20% recycled material in the crater foam and more sustainable than its alternative versions. Waffle outsole provide some very solid traction. I tested the pair in a nearby forest preserve and park and they give similar traction to hiking sneakers and the side panel padding felt secure and snug. That word will be a thematic element here, SNUG. I tend to wear shoes true to size or a half size up because I have wider feet – and unfortunately this particular pair was true to size. Go ahead and pick yourself up a half size up if it’s available if you ever worked as a lifeguard in your younger years. Despite the slight pinching in the toe box, the pair is actually very comfortable and I didn’t have much aching from a brand new pair of shoes that I have gotten from all day use with others.Overall, these are a great looking pair of shoes and really comfortable, despite the slightly narrow toe box. I’m not sure if it’s just this pair (as I mentioned this is my first pair of air-max sneakers), but the heels felt chunky and stiff - perhaps it’s the recycled crater foam, but I experienced a bit of heal drag as I wandered around the neighborhood and didn’t get the response I was expecting standing on an air cushion.... The loop on the heel is a nice aesthetic touch and makes it seem like the logo extends past the edge of the shoe, which is awesome! My only concern is that the ripstop fabric seems to be absorbent, so they may not be the easiest to keep clean, but that comes with the territory of owning an almost all white pair of shoes.I've only had these for a little while, but can definitely see myself getting another pair if these ever wear out (or just as a backup to have on hand)! Highly recommended!... Show more
