The Nike Air Max 95 Essential “Antifreeze” is based loosely on the original and highly desirable colorway of the same nickname from 1998. The original “Antifreeze” Air Max 95 debuted in the late ‘90s and displayed a similar gradient color scheme to the OG “Neon” look, however the “Antifreeze” employed more white on its upper than what was found on the “Neon. ” This modern refashioning of the “Antifreeze” references the original look of the same nickname, though with a few variations. Notably, the updated colorway displays white mesh around the eyelets as opposed to the white leather found on the ‘90s-era design. The rest of the gradient light-to-dark panels are finished off in a hairy suede material. A Neon Swoosh is stitched onto the collar and speckled rope laces add a rugged look to the design.
