The Supreme x Nike Air Max Plus ¡°Black/Red¡± is one of three colorways of the classic retro runner cooked up by the New York City streetwear brand and Nike for Fall 2020. The Air Max Plus achieved its cult-like following largely thanks to its association with London¡ ̄s garage scene of the late-90s and early 2000s. Both sleek and stylish, the performance runner now joins a long list of classic Nike silhouettes to be reworked by Supreme. As for the design, the upper features a black mesh base with contrasting red TPU overlays in a fiery motif. The TPU "stripes" across the upper are modified by Supreme to spell out "Supreme" on each side. A small yellow leather Swoosh appears on either side. Additional branding can be found on the dual Supreme and Nike detailing on the tongue and on the small ¡°Tuned Air¡± emblem on the back of the shoe. Supreme adds reflective hits to the black mesh tongue. Keeping the look of the midsole true to the original, visible Air units in the forefoot and heel reveal Nike's "Tuned Air" technology. Release date: October 15, 2020.
