Nike Air Max 1 were created in 1987, they were the first Air Max shoes edition with a visible gas bag. You are wondering why gas bag and why put it in the visible part of the shoe? So the designer of this marvel Tinker Hatfield was inspired by a “transparent” building Georges Pompidou Center located in Paris. This building portrayed everything that is usually hidden, in this case it was all shown outside, differently than everywhere else. Tinker also wanted to create something innovative, distinct from others. At first Air Max 1 with a visible gas bag shocked with its appearance, but at once they found their fans among runners, who praised its gas bags strength. Currently Air Max 1 is a cult shoe from the product line of Nike Sportswear.
