That said, these are VERY durable shoes that I believe are more meant preserve itself for it's timeless fashion of the '90s era.The comfort is still there, using Air technology. I'm able to wear these daily with no issues in walking distance. It's also very spacious in the toe box, so people with wider feet should give these a try.These run a whole size bigger for me, so expect to size down.

For those unfamiliar with the Uptempo, this shoe is thick, it's a thick hi-top, that's what you see and that's what you get. The immediate fit is great, and I'll say that's due to the iconic elastic straps. Arch support is on-point, and while I wouldn't walk all day in these out-of-the-box, I know that post break-in period you could pretty much live in a pair of Uptempos. I will say the reason I had to go to 11.5 was that for this particular sneaker, the toebox is just too close on me when going TTS. I wear 11 in certain Airs like the 90, 720, and AF1, and then others I have to size up. I'm a wide-footer, and this is a wide-friendly shoe - that's not the issue - but the length might end up being an unpleasant surprise - you aren't gonna find any padding in the toebox, so for those who like that super snug fit, this is going to hurt, no two ways about it. Going a half-size up solves that issue and the feel is no different otherwise. Overall an outstanding sneaker which I'll treasure and wear proudly, and I wouldn't have been able to enjoy them in my best size without that member support. 👌🏻

I was feeling the color and price tag, so I assumed my position with this style line. In no way would I consider playing basketball in these. It's not because I don't want to win games. I'm saying I don't want to lose them by playing in these either. Explained I didn't want to mess them up by getting them all dirty (LOL! It's just like I couldn't help it, 😜) Anyways.. Made me feel like a champion adding these to my wardrobe for urban-style clothing. Very nice, clean, comfortable, and fresh, relaxed look. I do not believe this style line will ever get old.

Glue leaking out between soles and uppers. Small swooshes not painted properly and not finished. Threads coming off top front swoosh. Most of the white letters where they transition from top of trainer to the base didn’t match up, some really really badly. The white pieces at the base of the trainer… some looked like they had been snapped off from a frame and left with bobbles on. I didn’t even bother taking the paper stuffing out. I’ve had fakes (unfortunately) which looked better than these.. I do have 6 other pairs some from ASOS so I do know what I’m talking about. The one star is for ASOS delivery which has always been excellent otherwise easiest return ever

This shoes very well put together! From a quality standpoint, I believe it will be very difficult to find a shoe that will last longer than the Nike air uptempo. I wore the shoe to the gym 5 days a week for 2 weeks & on a brisk 5k walk 3x each week & the shoes durability is not in question. It seems that Nikes perfected the formula to keep shoes together longer over the past 50 years & this shoe reaches that standard. If you have an active kid who’s really hard on shoes, this is definitely a shoe you would want to consider.Luckily my son (seven) & I wear the same size so he too wore the shoe around the house on several occasions & he was a huge fan of not only the look, but also the comfort of the shoe. Prior to this shoe, his largest complaint with Nike shoes was always the time it took to break the shoe in. This shoe seemed made wider than most & that added another level of comfort that can’t be understated. I too, shared the same sentiment. I loved the way the shoe felt straight out of the box. There was no break in period and for that this will be a shoe I go to for him n the future.In review the Nike air uptempos a very straight forward basketball shoe, somewhat outdated & hard to wear for adults on a regular basis but an excellent shoe for childrens everyday wear. Very comfortable After u get past the weight & bulky appearance, this shoes Durablity scores a 10 & something I have no doubt will last the entire school year!

I have always loved the design of the Uptempo's since I can remember. I had the chicago pair many years back (2000-ish) and wore it til the soles separated. Since then, I wanted a new pair. This is my first pair since then and the feeling still remains the same. The build is still amazing. The big "AIR" logo covering that wraps around the medial and lateral sides of the shoes are timeless and beautiful to look at. The comfort to me is still one of the best even with all these new technology they add to the new basketball shoes. The traction is amazing for playing basketball (as it should be) and as a lifestyle shoe, these shoes can be worn all day without feeling any discomfort. The only issue if you can consider it an issue is the weight of the shoe. This is a classic, bulky basketball shoe of the 90's and just like the Barkley's, Jordan's, JKidd's, and the other Uptempo's of the time, it is larger and heavier than the basketball shoes of today. Sizing wise, these shoes fit me true to size and can even be a little big since there is just so much room and ability to loosen or tighten. I recommend going true to size or half size down if you have narrow feet. Overall, these shoes are still one of my all time favorite basketball shoes created and Pippen's all time greatest looking shoes. I just need to get the Chicago colorway again.

I own a few of these shoes & obvious I like them. Sizing for me was diffrent for me though in these. After several fits, it turns out I'm a size 9US mens in these. In running shoes I wear a size. 9.5 as well as in other Nike shoes. These gave me that little extra room in the toe box that I'd get in a 9.5. So' I'd say if you have slender feet like myself & a long distance runner I would consider a half size smaller or you can order both sizes & go with what works for you. That's what I did because ASOS has a pretty good return policy even after 14days shipping fee of $$$.
