Best cushioned shoe to hoop in since the Lebron 17!
If you're looking for max cushioning? This is your shoe! Nike hasn't made a cushioned shoe like this in years, in my opinion. I have been hooping in the Lebron 17 up til putting a pair of these on. I'm elated I have a more recent shoe to wear to hoop in. I've tried so many shoes but these fit the bill. I'm a 6'2 tweener type, 45, 240 lbs... play 3 times a week, workout others... play in a league vs 20 somethings... my knees are grateful for new shoes! Buy them now if you like cushion and have knee issues. Zero knee pain over last 3 weeks! Zero.... Show more

Great basketball shoe
Dope ball shoe with lots of support. It has a really nice grip on the hardwood courts indoors, and just as good of a feel outdoors too. I really love the icy bottoms/outsole of the look with the colorway of the entire design, and didn't really feel any discomfort with the foamy midsole either. Shoes felt a bit tight around the curve of my foot, but I understand I gotta break them in some more, and that will take a bit to get used to. Wish it could be a little lighter in weight, but that's the only thing I can complain about. I also really love that there's extra cushioning on the inside, around the ankles. That's the biggest thing I noticed. I've never seen that before, but that was definitely needed as I usually feel my other basketball shoes digging into the back ... Great cushioning...takes a long time to break in.
I have two pairs of the G.T. Jump 1 and loved them. I "jumped" on the opportunity to get the new release. More of a mid-top than a high-top, but feels very stable and supportive. My only complaint is that it took a while to break in. I play twice a week for 2 hours at a time and they didn't break in for about 2 months -admittingly I only wore them every other time initially to see how my old G.T. Jumps felt. Now that they are broken in, the cushion and support are 5*. I like the materials, they seem like they will last long, and the traction has been great so far.... Show more

Impact protection, finally.
Nike, would you PLEASE make this shoe in a low top version? Let me know. Great shoe. Great impact protection, unlike most all other basketball shoes. I wish Jordan and Lebron basketball shoes had way more impact protection. Maybe the Air Jordan 38 Low that is coming out soon, has more impact protection? Nike is making great running shoes with great impact protection like the Alpha Fly and the Invincible 3. Now PLEASE make basketball shoes with WAY more impact protection, cushion, as even your high end Air Jordan and Lebron basketball shoes have little impact protection. Go up a half size on these. I am an outside shooter, shooting guard.... Show more

Most comfortable shoe ever
This was absolutely the most comfortable sneaker I’ve ever put on in my life. It’s has a very cool ecstatic and is perfect for almost everything. The react cushioning compounded with the massive air units felt as if I was walking on a cloud. I love the height of the shoe as well is gives you a good inch or two lol. The shoe fits very snug so I recommend going up a half size. The materials are super durable i wore them to play basketball and gym almost everyday since I’ve had them and they still look brand new not a scuff in sight and that’s amazing. One note is the plastic stability plate/shank in the shoe is a bit stiff to begin with but everything breaks in after a few days making them even more comfortable to wear. At this point they are my everyday shoe I love ... MoreThis was absolutely the most comfortable sneaker I’ve ever put on in my life. Not quite the original G.T. Jump - but still an excellent shoe!
As a huge fan of the original G.T. Jump, I couldn't wait to try its successor. Suffice it to say I was NOT disappointed! The Jump 2 is still as comfortable, lightweight, and reactive as its predecessor which is really all you need in a quality basketball shoe. The cushioning seems to have been moved a little more from the heel of the shoe to the forefoot which seems a bit odd to me but I'm not paid to design performance shoes for a living. I trust the designers did the shoe justice and I certainly have not experienced any heel/shin/back issues (but I've only worn them 3 times). Aesthetically I also give a slight nod to the original G.T. Jump but the 2 is still pretty sharp in my opinion. I'd say you can't go wrong with this shoe as long as you're of average weight ... Stiff an first but very cushiony
I did a lot of research before selecting this shoe as a middle aged guy with cranky knees, and lacking the explosiveness and bounce I had in my younger playing days. I've always gone up 1 full size in Nike athletic shoes, and these were no exception with the amount of cushioning. It's definitely a different court feel, and I must be a full 2" taller wearing them. I've never felt the need to 'break in' a pair of Nike's before playing in them but the upper plasticky material does feel pretty stiff out of the box. I would suggest stretching them out a bit and get accustomed to them before playing at full speed. They are definitely a heavy shoe and a bit clunkier so it will take some getting used to. Having played in them just once I did notice my knees are less sore ... They will not disappoint
I’m 38 and I’ve had multiple meniscus surgeries, and search for shoes with excellent cushioning. Im not lying when I say, “once I put these on, my knee pain went away!” It’s was like a miracle!I had the GT jump 1s, and they did the same thing for my knees. But…they were awkward ,heavier, and kinda cumbersome. It was hard to hoop in them . They also flexed right in the middle of the shoe, which aggravated my plantar fasciitis ( but that’s just me).So hesitantly, I returned them, and gave up my wonder drug for my knees.Well, all that has changed with the GT Jump 2! They are lighter, give just as much bounce and stress relief for my joints. They are much more agile, and supportive. The heel shoe flexes mainly in the forefoot, which I feel is a more comfortable ride. ... MoreI’m 38 and I’ve had multiple meniscus surgeries, and search for shoes with excellent cushioning. Worth the money, high traction & cushioning
Bought these for my 5th grade daughter. She loves them. Super sticky & great traction. Awesome cushioning support on rebounding and jump shots. Good ankle support which was why we wanted to higher top. Don’t think you could wear these with ankle supports but you won’t need them if you make the shoes tight around the ankle. Buying another for my 7th grader. Bonus: adds 1.5” to height. Highly recommended.... Show more

Zoom GT
This is by far one of the most if not the most beefiest cushion I have ever played on. But let’s start at with the outsole. It would always bite and my foot wasn’t sliding however, I was playing at my local gym which they aren’t always the cleanest. The usual swiping of the sole will be needed but I do believe if I play in a clean court cleaning the soles would be minimal. Outside was good. I never had an issue were I felt I was slipping. Now the cushion. The forefoot is a huge zoom unit and rear has some of the softest react cushion which is a great setup up. But I did say beefiest and to top off that great set up it’s loaded with an air zoom strobel and that takes it to a whole different level that makes me bounce after every step. Which is great for impact ... MoreThis is by far one of the most if not the most beefiest cushion I have ever played on. But let’s start at with the outsole. Which is great for impact protection. Now the upper is thin, flexible and breathable. No break in time was needed I felt ready to go once I put them on. With a nice, firm and secured lockdown. I love react and zoom air. But in this situation it did feel a bit too much for a player like myself. I like to get more court feel and with this set up you won’t get any. There is so much cushion it feel a little strange. A good strange but it might just be that I’m not used to playing in a set up like this. I would definitely recommend to anyone that want the most cushion on their feet. This will be the best pair of shoes you could ever have.... Show more
