Cushioned, neutral shoe that really stays dry! <3

Wow! Bought these neutral trainers for those cold, squishy Portland OR winter days that make me want to stay in. I have taken them out 3x: twice on the roads and today on wet gravel and maintained but muddy trail. TBH, I was tired of having to clean off my other trainers after running in the rain and set them up against the heater to dry out so I could run again tomorrow, trying to keep them pretty. The fit and performance on these are a pleasant surprise, in addition to the all-weather features and not-crazy pricing. I haven’t ran in Nike Pegasuses for awhile. The shroud does add a little snugness to the forefoot I think, but I feel ok with my regular running shoe size and fitted running socks (I have a wide forefoot, high arch). You might try sizing up a half ... MoreWow! Bought these neutral trainers for those cold, squishy Portland OR winter days that make me want to stay in. Great shoes! Surprisingly pleased!

I have severe planter facitis. I ruptured my planter fascia back in June and it's been along road. These shoes were recommended surprisingly. They have a higher arch so I thought I would just try them because I really liked the looks of them. To my surprise they have been very comfortable and I absolutely love them. I also love the style and so does my grandson. He said " Nene buy me a pair in a boys color"!

This is a review from the perspective of a seasoned runner (petite female). Disappointed in these shoes for running. I have used the older models over several years, but the design has changed on the 37s and not for the better. The back is tapered like the end of a boat. Not snug on the heel, heel feels very loose, and the boat shape means that weight distribution pulls to the back of the heel and makes you run sort of flat-footed. Not good for promoting forefoot running. Maybe they would suit someone else. Ok as an indoor non-exercise shoe. Would've returned them but had run outside, so shoe was marked.

Nice looking but not nice fitting!
11 January 2021

I bought these online for running. The shoes arrived on time and looked exactly as I expected...very nice looking shoe. But they are extremely uncomfortable when running and actually hurt my feet when not running. The fit on the top of the foot, closest to the front of the ankle is stiff and very unforgiving. This creates pressure and pain when running. I have only worn them twice and won’t again. It’s the first time I have ever had a bad fit with Nike which is too bad because I’ve never worn anything but. Wary now and rethinking choices.

Only Nike trainer I’ll wear
14 December 2020

Have had 3 pairs of the 37s so far. I normally ran in Saucony because I hated Nike trainers. My college only provides Nike trainers for our track training and I never liked the Pegasus until the 37. Super cushiony, does take about 2 runs to break in though. Would recommend them. Wayyyy better than the 36 in terms of forefoot cushion. Had many Achilles issues in the 36 when I tried to run in them and I had to go to saucony. No problems in the 37, little heavier than previous models but I will take a tad more weight for more cushion. Love these!

Perfect shoes
16 May 2021

I absolutely love these shoes. I have been to running shops and also Dick’s and tried on all the different types of shoes. I always settled for what I thought was comfortable til I found these! My feet feel amazing in these and I love that they aren’t the typical bulky extra support running shoes I thought i’d be stuck with after having foot surgery.. these are amazing for me but that doesn’t mean they’re amazing for you! I wear these shoes almost every day for several hours at a time. I think they are great shoes overall, but your best bet is to try them on and try others on as well because everyone’s feet / needs are different!

Size-Up 1/2 Size
26 August 2020

These are super-cute in-person. They look and feel expensive. I am a true US 10, but find I am consistently a 10.5 in Nike. I ordered the size 10 in these initially, and they JUST fit: my toes were all the way at the end, no breathing room with a thin sock. Feet swell with exercise, so unless I wanted these to simply be a fashion sneaker, there’s no way I could endure long walks in these. 10.5 for me is the best fit. Size up 1/2 size from your regular shoe size when ordering. As a side note, I adore the white— not too bright like most with the grey detailing and contrast black Nike symbol. I’m in love!

They're... Ok
22 September 2021

I definitely made the mistake of not trying these on in person before buying. A few things to note is that the tongue is sewed to the inside of the shoe so there isn't a way to adjust. The shoe laces are extremely short. The sole of the left shoe seems to rise higher on the outside then the sole of the right shoe. I've been trying to break them in but they don't seem to want to budge. However, the color is super cute. The shoe itself isn't that functional for what I wanted.

Toebox ruins the whole shoe
27 December 2021

Admittedly, I only got these, because I thought they were cute. I'm not a runner, am not doing anything athletic whatsoever in these shoes, but with that being said, the toebox on these shoes are HORRIBLE! It ruins the whole shoe. There is no form to them at all, making them awkward and uncomfortable. I'm not doing a good job at explaining this, but take my word for it, and don't waste your money. Like I said I'm not doing anything strenuous in these shoes, but I can imagine how uncomfortable it would be to do anything beyond basic walking in these. Also, the shoelaces are wayyy too short, like why? I got the tie dye pair, and obviously the laces add to the overall aesthetic of the shoe, so I'm not going to replace them just to get them to be tied like I want, nor ... MoreAdmittedly, I only got these, because I thought they were cute. Uncomfortable, design a step backwards from previous versions
30 January 2022

As always with Nike, I size up a full size. I purchased Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 in 2019 and they've been my daily shoes from the day I purchased them - immediately comfortable and supportive (and obviously held up REALLY well). Fast forward to early 2022. I stuck with the same style since I loved them and got the 37's (currently a nice savings over the new 38s). Super UNcomfortable! The tongue is uncomfortable, poking and rubbing on my ankle due to it's sharp, narrow design and limited padding. The heal is well padded but has a lot of movement and rubs (future blisters?). There is not much arch support like there is in my 35s. Finally, the worst of it is the toe box. It's extremely tight across my toes (probably why they're advertising increased room for the 38s). ... MoreAs always with Nike, I size up a full size. I only made one loop around the house and then sat on the couch while wearing them and my toes were really hurting (picture constant pressure down on your big toe nail). Despite the sole feeling pretty cushioned when walking, I felt relief all around my foot when taking them off. Super disappointing and definitely returning these. I'll spend the extra on the new 38s and if that doesn't work out I guess I'm done with the Air Zoom Pegasus line. :(
