My 9 year old daughter absolutely loves these. She had the same pair in the Velcro for the past two years but wanted laces as she was getting older and these didnât disappoint. She said theyâre even more comfortable than her last ones and wonât wear anything else. Day to day school wear and she also plays indoor soccer with these and loves them. She expressed that they were a bit tight to get on at first but that once they were on, they were âsquishy and comfy.â In regards to the tightness, I donât think she loosened the laces as much as she should have but she wouldnât let me assist her. She did wear them to school all day and didnât complain or have any irritation.I really like the design. I do, however, think that if you donât like laces in general and donât want to deal with laces and prefer velcro, these are the sneakers for you. Just keep in mind that the velcro only tightens the top of the sneakers.

However, for teenage girls, or at least from my daughters perspective , the Velcro strap was not her preferred style.
