Bang for your Buck

I tell you what, these shoes are the best bang for your buck Nike’s I have ever owned. I’ve ran several miles and these rock! The thing that surprised me the most was the tongue. It’s a little bit longer then any other Nike’s I’ve owned and it is rounded off at the top.Don’t know what’s going on with Nike but it seems as if the shoes are getting smaller! Used to wear 9 now I’m at 9.5?!🤔

Cheap construction

Toe separates from front rubber "guard" after normal running use. Poorly constructed IMO. Also, found width to be slightly narrow using high quality socks. Maybe if you use thin cheapies you'll be okay. I don't wear wide in any other shoe, but the normal width rubbed a lot. Only seems to be with Nike.

Good for the price

Good shoes. Very comfortable and didnt feel like they needed to be broken in as much. I also like that the laces were the perfect length. I cannot stand it when the laces are twice as long as they need to be and you have to double tie them. Not necessary with these. Thanks Nike

Good value. Customer service is excellent. [Name removed] in Costa Rica and "I-Forgot-His -Name" in Phoenix/Mesa were well spoken patient and have won Nike a new customer.

This particular model "Downshifter 9" ran small, and the difference between sizes 9.5 and 10 are indistinguishable. The material in the shoe material is somewhat stiff as compared to Nike materials several years ago. I have a pair I bought about five years ago that were softer and more pliable: Model Name "Dart 9"; ups code = 15634782.

Impossible
27 May 2020

Impossible to buy a shoe online. I hate shopping to begin with. This pandemic has everything closed so I bought what I thought was close to my old shoe. What I got was way to narrow. No return shipping label included so I will wait for the Nike outlet store in Eagan MN to open. Not your fault.Shipping expedited for just an extra $5 was nice and fast however..

Lateral/Top Stability Lacking
1 February 2020

I bought a pair of these in the summer and by the winter the thin fabric on the tops/sides had stretched enough that they didn't fit properly anymore. The shoes were essentially warped from then on. That being said, before this happened, I really liked the comfort and lightness of the shoes - perhaps if I had ONLY used them for jogging instead of regular summer family activity this would not have been an issue but I am not sure. And consider that I am back on this website because I am considering buying another pair.

Nice Running Shoe
8 June 2020

Sneakers are nice and light yet durable under the toe/ball of the foot. Nice and stable. A different feel for me which is a good thing. It can be worn for a considerable amount of time. It's airy around the top portion of my feet. I highly recommend it!

Poor design pinches little toe
7 March 2023

DD6203-003 is what I got. Purchased at Academy and initially felt great with high and strong arch to start. Loved it. Then after I wore for a few days my toes started to hurt. I try to walk 4miles a day and I thought the shoe would stretch and all be ok. I started to get a blister on the side of the toe and then on top of the other toes. Loved the arch so did not want to let go. Took with me overseas and then the other foot started the same thing. I tried everything, loosening the laces etc. It just got worse. When we got home I put on my old Brooks and what a relief. Same size so that’s not it. My toes were in bad shape but now better. It is the design. Also what was a great arch upon start after my overseas trip, just 13 days, the arch has flattened ... MoreDD6203-003 is what I got. Also what was a great arch upon start after my overseas trip, just 13 days, the arch has flattened out. one more thing. The laces on these shoes suck. They are bent and hard to tie. And they do not stay tied unless double knotted and made very tight. Shoe laces need to be able to stay tied. Some do. These do not.A poor design.

25 August 2020

shipping was slow. but in these times not unexpected. These are nicer than expected. I bought them to wear around the house since i am WFH now. I think they are too nice to wear here, so its delima time--buy something else or just wear them and look stylish for myself.
