Comfortable shoes for walking and running

The first thing you'll notice when you slip this shoe on is how comfortable it is. It has plenty of room for your feet to give you a more barefoot feeling while still providing enough support that you can run or walk in this shoe for miles. I took it on multiple runs over 5 miles and they felt just as good when I ended the run as they did at the beginning. My favorite part of the shoe is all the space and room in the toebox. Some running shoes can suffocate your feet, but these give plenty of room even if you have big feet. After really trying to wear these shoes out in a few weeks, everything (sole, laces, etc.) are all still in great shape. Even on a hot day, your feet aren't going to feel on fire after you wear these for a while. Overall, these are some of my favorite running/walking shoes ever and I have tried a ton!

Great shoe for doing workouts with varied movements
24 June 2022

This is shoes that I’ve used numerous times over different pairs through out the years. My favorite part about this shoe is it’s overall versatility. It’s definitely a runner in its silhouette, but unlike my other Nike running shoes I can use this one for workouts that involve numerous movements outside of running. Not to say that I don’t love my Pegasus and my Vomeros but I wouldn’t be comfortable squatting or deadlifting in either of those. The flex experience however is great for all that. One of my favorite workouts is run intervals with tire flips and farmers carries and this is the perfect shoe for that.As far a the running characteristics I would definitely say this is a minimalist shoe, with just slightly more support in the sole than a free runner. One of my favorite workouts is run intervals with tire flips and farmers carries and this is the perfect shoe for that.As far a the running characteristics I would definitely say this is a minimalist shoe, with just slightly more support in the sole than a free runner. You can feel the muscles in your feet working in a different way when you run in these. If this is your first time buying this particular shoe or a minimalist shoe in general I’d definitely say to make sure you add volume to your mileage in a very slow way so you don’t overwork yourself and strain your feet. The only downsides to this show are the color of this particular pair and the grip on the sole. I wouldn’t suggest them for anything else other than even pavement with this grip. If you’re going to go back and forth to some dirt or gravel I’d highly suggest getting a different shoe. The all blacked out colors on these just didn’t work. It needed some contrast somewhere. I think the way they layered the black especially on the sole just made them look like work shoes from a restaurant. Was a cool idea but I probably wouldn’t get this color way again. Drop some punk swooshes and a white sole on them and they would be super fly.In conclusion, if you want to do multifaceted workouts in a minimalist shoe then this is a great option, just make sure to find it in a cool that pops instead of the all black.

My new go-to gym shoe!
27 June 2022

First let me start by giving some quick background about myself. I am a fairly active individual, I go to the gym 4-5 times a week and also work retail (lots of walking and standing). I also am a sneaker head and own around 40 pairs of shoes.Pros: The fit of the shoe are true to size the material feels breathable but also stretchy enough for the shoe to be comfortable while still giving you the feeling of support. I have worn these shoes to the gym multiple times and my feet appreciate it. I have flat feet and these shoes have excellent arch support. I do a variety of things like running, box jumps, weightlifting etc. while at the gymCons:The design is a bit too basic for my taste but depending on your style that could be a plus. I also wore these to work a couple of times and the support holds strong but once I was at hour 5-6 the shoe started to feel a bit tight around the toes. All things considered this is one of the most comfortable shoes I own especially for the gym or anything active. My recommendation if you have more of a flat foot and want to wear these all day is to maybe go up a half size just to give the toes a little breathing room.

Nice casual sneaker/good for wide feet - wish outsole tread pattern was better/more grippy. Make more colors!
27 January 2023

I use these as a casual everyday shoe (not running). I think the design on these is pretty good, I like all the colorways so far and hope some more weird ones come out. The upper is comfortable enough. It's not super plush or stretchy or anything, but it still has some give and feels pretty good. It's thicker material, so I feel more protected walking around. I have wide feet and the foot is good on that front, no pain on the pinky toe and there is enough volume in the toe box. I like the lower stack height (I wish they were even lower though and less heel drop).I do wish the outsole was better. I know it's just exposed foam, but the tread pattern is not very deep or designed well. It's too smooth on the heel. The grip is the not the greatest. There is no cutouts in the heel area anymore, for example.I also wish there was more structure in the heel area, maybe have a true heal counter.

The best Nike sneaker for me, even though it has gotten worse looking over the years
19 February 2024

I started with the Flex 6 and loved it. Good-looking level sole, good looking mesh material, cool design, no fat unnecessary padding below the ankle and heel that doesn't really do anything because nobody is out here kicking your feet. With the Flex 11, the big jacked up white sole sure is ugly at the heel, and the puffy stuff around the opening makes sure the shoe can't look sleek, BUT I just bought a second pair. I wore the first pair to Spain a year ago and walked literally from morning to night every day without muscle fatigue. The wimpy little bit of sole that is glued up the tip of the toe has lost some rubber, but otherwise the shoe is in great shape after a year. And this is one of those lines where you size up! I wear 11 dress shoe, 11.5 casual sneaker, and 12 running shoe. I am a 12 in the Flex.

Very affordable, durable and comfortable shoe that is going to last for an entire year of running, going to the gym, and casual wear.
21 March 2023

Shoe is way too underrated and not shown enough love. Because I have wide feet there are not many options at Nike that suit me. However, the flex experience is definitely one of those shoes that are just perfect for my feet because it is comfortable, fit just right even with wide feet because they come in wide, and are really durable! I have worn the same shoe for a year now, and there hasn't been any noticeable wear outside of the shoe. The only problem is that the inside gets broken and gets imprinted with the same of my feet. That is completely understandable considering I have worn it for so long and I commend Nike's quality for that!

The collar collapses when you are putting your feet inside the shoe, I was expecting like most shoes it will be stiff but to my surprise it just collapses and actually allows you to easily get your foot in the shoe. The collar collapses when you are putting your feet inside the shoe, I was expecting like most shoes it will be stiff but to my surprise it just collapses and actually allows you to easily get your foot in the shoe. Very delightful surprise, love when Nike does these innovative kinds of things. The nike flex sole design looks super cool and interesting, I don't think I have ever seen a sole like this before. So the flex grooves provide a really good grip, especially if its not pavement, I was a little concerned about the outsole area having cuts in the part near your toes, where when running you hit the ground toe first then heal (see photos). My immediate thought was I'm going to get a ton of rocks stuck in-between the cuts in the sole, have to stop what I'm doing and try to remove it and continue. I can surprisingly that I have not had to do so yet. I tried running on the beach and definitely got some sand particles stuck in there but that didn't affect my run and I was able to wash it out and remove it easily. So I'm kinda torn on this feature, it definitely helps with the flex capabiltiies of the shoe, versus I would assume other shoes the sole would compress or not give and be hard. I think just the thought when you pick it up and see that the sole has cut lines and there is potential for small pebbles and sand to get lodged in there it might affect whether you want to buy this or not, even though as I said I have not had to stop and remove anything between the cut lines yet. I also do wonder if over time the cutlines will cause the sole to open more and cause tears to occur, the material of the Nike flex sole feels like it won't but I guess time will tell if that is the case or if years go by and there is no tear stemming from the cutlines.I had a pair of running shoes from a different brand and I noticed I always got blisters on my heel because the shoe was rubbing up against it while running, with these shoes I have not experienced that same issue, it's a super nice soft pair of shoes that is suitable for a stroll, light or casual run, nothing like marathon or race or hiking, for those you gotta step up to the Nike AlphaFly Next%, but the Nike Flex Experience Run 11 is still pretty great, I found it my knees and feet were still good after running on hard pavement.I'm super impressed that this is another great shoe made with recycled materials, it doesn't look like it, and still feels like a good premium quality product! I hope Nike continues with this and excels on making more shoes with innovative manufacturing and recycling. These are my goto daily shoes whether I'm going to the office or want to do a quick casual run, I always reach for these! I'm definitely going to get another pair.I think the only thing I would improve on the Nike Flex Experience Run 11 is keep the cutlines in the sole but bevel it out, so that there will not be a gap between the soles that will give the first thought of "oh I'm going to get a rock stuck in between the cutlines in the sole", and it would still accomplish the goal of giving a flex when you move with it. Also let's talk about laces, its 2022, laces were first discovered in 2000BC, and Nike has so many great ideas with alternatives such as the FlyEase which are amazing! I would like to see less shoe laces in general. It is one less material that has to be made/used, there's better alternatives for people with disabilities, it could be more aerodynamic without laces, etc. Would also like to see more sustainable materials like Cork, which is super flexible, lightweight, waterproof, and hypoallergenic used in shoes.Otherwise, great job Nike designers this shoe is one of my absolute favorites.
