The Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit 4 is an all-round running shoe. The shoe offers the soft, stable feel combined with a smooth ride that provides support during every long and short round. Flyknit has been added to the upper, creating zones that focus on optimal ventilation, flexibility and containment. The result is a feeling of freshness that helps keep your foot securely in place as you move without restriction. The Flyknit tongue is adjustable and soft, so your ankle and heel don't suffer from the lingering irritation of longer runs. The shoe is still equipped with Flywire technology for support around the midfoot. Even more cushioning has been added to the collar for a soft, protected feel. The midsole is equipped with Nike React foam. Nike React is a light, durable foam for a smooth, responsive ride. The foam is shaped like the base of a rocking chair. For example, it offers support for the three phases of settlement during running. It offers flexibility when your foot lifts off the ground, a smooth feel when your foot moves forward, and cushioning when you touch the ground. The wide shape provides a more stable experience and releases energy with every step. Less material between the sockliner and midsole means you're closer to the foam. And that means a more responsive experience. The foam itself is higher, for a soft feel. Extra rubber has been added to the outsole for increased durability and grip. A Fantastic Shoe for Day to Day Training Runs

I picked up a pair of these to replace my Pegasus 40's on regular training runs and must say I'm really pleased with them.What are they like to wear?They seem ideal for easy paced training runs and are cushioned enough for regular use, really "taking care" of your feet. They feel very stable underfoot with a nice heel to toe rocking motion and good grip which seems, to me at least, to encourage better running form.What about the fit?It was recommended to go up half a size and I'm glad that I did. Nike are usually spot on size wise but these do feel fairly closed in around the toes and the upper is snug against the foot.Anything else to note?That snug upper does make these Infinity Run Flyknit 4's a warm shoe. Not overly so but worth noting.Final ... I like this generation, but I’m a bigger fan of the Infinity 2 for reasons that may or may not be important to you. Regardless it’s a very worthy shoe.I’m generally not a fan of flyknit for any athletic shoe due to the lack of support. While very comfortable, you can really only run in a straight line. Tight turns are totally out of the question and even moderate curves I can still feel my foot sliding in the shoe and edging toward a rolled ankle. The 2 also had a supple upper, but there was definitely more support, so turns were much more manageable. I absolutely would not ever recommend taking these on trail runs. The 2 has a cool design on the sole, but I knew I was going to wear through, which I eventually did. The 4 also has a round shape, but the center has a longer flat patch which feels more stable. OK, but disappointing

The previous Infinity Run models were fantastic long run shoes with a slightly firm, but very shock absorbent foam, a lot of cushioning, and a nice smooth rocker. I've run multiple 16 mile runs and one 20 mile run in them and they don't lose comfort during the run and leave my legs and feet feeling great. They were also very durable. The Infinity RN 4 has a softer foam that has a little bit of bounce, so the rocker isn't as smooth (though it's still effective). There's still a lot of cushioning and shock absorption, but my feet don't feel nearly as good in it (especially in the forefoot) and it feels incredibly heavy, which my legs really notice past 8 miles (but notice at least somewhat the whole way). I don't dislike it enough to return it, but I think that I will ... So, I have a pair, size 10.5, of the InfinityRN4 GORE-TEX and absolutely love them. I ordered this, Flyknit upper running shoe, a half size up as recommended, and am happy I did. The ultra-comfortable collar and tongue enables a snug fit with flexibility.The ReactX in the midsole makes it feel as though you’re walking on air. I think the Waffle outsole will make this InfinityRN4 way go to for my Tempo Runs; Especially during transitioning from paved to gravel paths and vice versa. It’s likely they will conform to my feet better after a few runs.Tip: Your first thought after putting them on may be ‘they are tight across the top.’ Though the fit will be a lot more comfortable if you adjust the laces correctly.I recommend you order a full size up If you prefer a ... These are really cool shoes! The tongue design really lends the shoe to a nice, secure, and flexible fit. My initial reaction when putting these shoes on right out of the box was that they were really flexible and responsive shoes. So, from there, I laced these bad boys up and took them straight outside for an easy 2mile run. When I started running, I was a bit fearful of the snug fit. Yes, the notes/additional information about the shoe says they're a sung fit and nike recommends ordering a size up... but I didn't see that. You can't expect me to read that closely while buying shoes! However, I think nike is right about this, if you don't like a really close second skin/sock type fit, you should certainly go up a half a size. But as I continued running, the feel ... With such a soft springy underfoot, they seem a bit unstable for a full foot cycle through type run, but I feel like these would be perfect for a quick 5k or a 1600m race pace street run. I ran my 2mile run at a VERY comfortable 12:30 min mile pace. I ran too slow and upright to let these shoes really shine. I will definitely be taking these back out and paying them the respect they deserve. All in all, these are great shoes for the price. I would certainly recommend them.... Show more

The shoe fits almost like a sock and stretches with your foot’s movement which gives it a nice snug fit. The midsole cushion is amazing. However would like to see more arch support and more cushion in the toe box area. Definitely take the advice and order a half size up per the online recommendation. These definitely run smaller than most shoes due to the stretch fabric design. They are water resistant to a certain extent but not “waterproof” like the Goretex version which would make this the ultimate running shoe. However the Goretex model is limited to only a few color options so that’s why I stuck with these. Overall a really comfortable and lightweight shoe with good color options to choose from. Very happy with my choice.... Show more

I prefer Nike shoes but had been purchasing other running shoes due to a lack of availability with Wide sizes that also looked good in addition to functionality.I spotted this shoe & it WAS available in WIDE and it has been a great purchase!Super comfortable and supportive! I’ve even been able to add some custom orthotics and the fit hasn’t changed, the arch supports fit without any extra work arounds.The support & cushioning you feel on each heel-toe transition is noticeable.The shoes breathe well, after using them exclusively in the sun during morning workouts under the Texas heat, I haven’t noticed any uncomfortable “hot-spots.”Lastly, I haven’t felt any slippage of the heel, or loosening of the laces that sometimes require constant adjustment after ... Running is something that I felt like I couldn't or shouldn't really do for awhile but it turns out that I've just been buying the wrong type of shoes.I was very rough on my body when I was younger which resulted in a microfracture surgery on my right knee and currently dealing with a fractured sesamoid on my right foot , so as you can imagine running would usually result in a good bit of pain.I went to a running store and had my feet scanned to help me with running since I overpronate and some shoes aggravate these injuries but just couldn't buy any of the ugly shoes they recommended.
