Air Unit Popped, defective design?
11 May 2016

I bought these around 3 months ago and have been playing in them about 2 times per week indoors. Today the air unit popped. I question the durability on the design of
these shoes - as I would expect much better from Nike. The materials seem solid, I think design caused failure. Before the air unit popped. The shoe was narrow (wide-footers
should try on). Cushion was excellent, traction pretty consistent, and there was really no break in time. The support exceeded expectations for how low profile the shoe is.

Comfy but Awful grip

KDs have always been my favorite basketball shoes for my position and I play in them every game and practice, but after the terrible grip on BOTH of my pairs of KD 8s, I
switched to Kobes. After playing on a barely dusty court just one time, they were pretty much ruined. Theyre very comfortable shoes but just terrible grip. I hope the KD 9s are
a huge improvement.

Cool Shoe, Bad Shoe
25 February 2016
I got the KD 8 "Easy Euro" shoes in January, and one month later they started to fall apart. I ordered them from nike.com, so they weren't fake. But the heel support frame in the back bent in, after bending my toes a crease came over the toe, and the outsole started peeling off. I don't play any sports, and I just wore these shoes to school about three times a week. The same thing happened to my friend, so I can't say I was surprised by these shoes that ultimately fall short to its predecessors.... Show more

Extremely Dissapointed in Nike
21 June 2016
I bought a pair of KD 8s a little over two months now and they are falling apart ! The last pair of Nike shoes I had before these were a pair of nike ID basketball shoes and I had them for over 2 years. They are in better shape than these KD 8s. I have been a loyal customer of Nike for over 30 years and I love Nike products. That is why I am extremely disappointed in them. I tried to express my dissatisfaction to customer service REP but unfortunately they are programmed like robots to answer customers in a scripted way. This made me even more disappointed and frustrated. I am seriously thinking about changing athletic apparel to UA and / or Adidas. I hate to do this since Ive worn nike for over 30 years (since I was 4) and I never had any issues with any of their products until now. I use only Nike for all my athletic apparel (shoes,ts,socks, hats etc) needs. I also wrote Nike and never heard back from them.I am in Central America which makes a return extremely difficult and costly. That is why I am expressing my dissatisfaction on Nike's website.Hopefully I will get acknowledged here.I want a sincere express of concern from Nike and a genuine apology. The shoe sole is disintegrating and now the air sole has a leak !... Not a huge fan
24 April 2016
I have owned the KD 3s and KD 5s, which were well built sneakers. The KD 8s are not nearly as good as its predecessor. I am a fast/quick player so Im looking for that lock down grip. The KD 8s sole is pretty much disentegrating. I play in a college court so its a little bit dusty at times. When the sneakers get too slippery Ill just try wiping the bottom of the sneaker, but it only adds to the problem. These sneakers are comfortable and definitely good looking, but did not meet my expectations for a KD sneaker.... Show more

Overall is a nice shoe
4 April 2016
Kd is one of my favorite players and im starting a kd collection, so why not start it off with a kd 8. This shoe is comfortable and looks good to me. The only downfall is the fit. I would recommend a half size up or full size up. I think the problem is the very padded toungue, if it was padded less i think the shoe would fit fine. It does feel awkward at first but evertually youll get use to it. Looking forward to the KD 9s and so on.... Show more

Really good shoe
29 May 2016
KD8 has been one of my favorite KD's. The shoe is comfortable supportive, and fits good. I'd go a half size up because they run a little small compared to the KD7. The only really problem I had was after 6 months of hard practice, and lots of games the right heel part of the airbag totally ripped. The whole bottom ripped from the back to the nike zoom logo. Overall this shoe is really good, and it's probably my fault for wearing them too much.... Show more

Way too Narrow and Small
7 March 2016
Two problems with this shoe, it is way too narrow and way too small. You literally have to buy an entire size up. This doesn't make sense. Why don't they just list them as a size down. For example, they should say the 14 is a 13 and the 13 is a twelve. That will solve a lot of the sizing issues. The other problem with this shoe is the arch support. Don't give basketball shoes arch support. It causes plantar fascitis and can seriously screw up people's feet. Fix these two issues and the next shoe might be one of the best shoes on the market.... Worked Good throughout my Season
12 April 2016
This shoe worked great throughout my whole basketball season. I found them uncomfortable after a while of playing. I recommend wearing inserts while wearing these shoes. I didn't get these shoes off of Nike.com. I got them at a sporting goods store. When I asked for "red" I ended up getting an orange color. I hope that Nike will or has created some kind red color for these shoes. I enjoyed the shoe and style but the comfort could've been better.... Show more
