At first, it was great...
My first couple of times on the court I thought that Nike couldn't have made a better basketball sneaker. The feel of the shoe is great and I was really happy. After wearing the Kyrie 3's after a few times, I was getting rubbing on my Achilles. Keep in mind that I do wear longer socks while playing but after only having the sneakers for around 2 months, they have cut my Achilles heel on both feet and has made me bleed. I have tried and put extra padding but it just becomes painful. Another thing is that when the sneaker was new, my foot didn't slip inside of the sneaker but it seems to have been worn in the ball of my foot. I really enjoyed the sneaker when I first purchased them and I was really happy but the more I play in them, the less happy I am with my ... I really wanted good basketball sneakers but these have not been good for me. One thing I can say about the sneakers is that the grip on them is really good and they look nice.... Show more

Good Looking but Terribly Uncomfortable
The shoe looks great on your feet, the grip is fantastic. However they have zero cushion. After wearing them for about an hour, I couldn't wait to get them off. My feet were actually fatigued. The bone color has a slight tint to it. Almost appears as if the white has started to yellow.I will keep the shoes simply because I like the look of them and will add them to my collection. I will likely rarely ever wear them unfortunately. This was the first pair of Kyrie 3's that I have purchased and it will be my last.... Show more

Great for guards
Great shoe for guards traction is great. Cushioning Is not so good. the cushioning is a nike zoom pod in the heel that you can kind of feel. The forefoot area has tremendous responsiveness giving a lot of court feel. The outsold has 2 pivot points where most cuts and etc occur giving you the best traction possible but that is only on the solid outsold variants. Translucent outsoles do not provide as good traction as the solid ones that is a no so I recommend the solid outsold shoes. Lockdown is A1 and theres minimal to no heel slippage but my left foot hurts when I play around the joint or ball from the main foot to the start of the pinky toe but Ive gotten use to it. All in all this shoe is great for guards and forwards maybe but not big men who probably need more ... MoreGreat shoe for guards traction is great. Great Look, Horrendous Durability
I received these shoes on September 14th, today is the 26th.The aglets on them came completely squished so i could not lace them properly. The gold inside the shoe is nearly completely off, they are incredibly uncomfortable they run incredibly narrow and consistently make my feet hurt after playing. I play Varsity basketball in the MSL and i was expecting these shoes to be my season shoe instead they became the only shoe i've written a review on because i was so upset with how poorly these shoes were made this is not what i expect from a nike product. They have very good and comfortable shoes unfortunately i bought these online and did not get to see them first hand i would completely regret this purchase if they did not look as good as they do.... Great shoe for ball handlers
I loved the traction on the shoe. Not the most comfortable if you need that, but I don't. The traction is great but it doesn't lock you down around the heel so well. Moreover, I felt comfortable doing moves and driving to the basket . Also, I have bad ankles and I haven't had the need to wear an ankle bracelet in these shoes. My only problem was the insole. It may be my foot shape or something, but I have a constant problem with the right shoe insole sliding while I play. It literally moves to the left under my foot and I can feel half of my toes touching the stitching and the other half on the soles, and it becomes so annoying. I haven't heard of this problem with any one else just making you all aware.... Show more

Great Sneakers but ok quality
This is a great sneaker with quick response on cuts and turns. I have wide flat feet so if you wear thick or double socks with your regular size, they might run tight. The sneakers are narrow so i suggest getting a size up. I've probably used them at max 8 times with 2 hour gameplay each time and the laces are already fraying with slight rip. I've only had these sneakers for less than a month and this is the only issue i've encountered. The laces on the Kryie 3s are a bit different from your normal sneakers, so it'll be hard to find replacements. Nike doesn't carry replacement lace stock, so fingers crossed that the laces last as long as the sneakers.... Show more

Perfection
Every aspect of the shoe works together to make this shoe perfect. The shoe is slightly rounded and curves up in the forefoot area. Combine that with a very thin but bouncy cushion set up, you are able to explode quickly. This type of set up also allows you to get more out of the amazing traction of the shoe. This shoe forms to the foot very well but if you have a wide foot, I would go up a size or just try them on in a store. You will not have any heel slippage or any problems with any part of the shoe being too tight. The only issue with the shoe is the speckle design on it is pretty grainy and can catch you off guard when rubbed against your skin.... Really depends on the players need
Fit: fit is 5/5. it fits perfectly and I went true to size.I do have wide feet and therefore, it took sometime to break in. I went true to size, because I like the 1 to 1 feeling of the shoes and I am glad I chose my true size.Support: I recommend wearing socks that are above the ankle, because I played in no show socks one day and my ankle got cut a bit. Of course that hurted too.Cushion: 1/5 No cushion at all. Yes there is suppose to a zoom air in the heel, but you won't be able to feel it.Material: 5/5 durable materials. it will last indoor and outdoor.Traction: 5/5 stopped on a dime every time. No slippage yet. Good for indoor and outdoor. My own opinion:First of all I play basketball almost everyday and I have played in these shoes for about 250-300 ... I prefer more cushion in my shoes and this shoes does not meet my requirement. I will still be wearing these, but only once in a while. I have removed it from my rotation. My recommendation: Get this shoes if you usually wear shoes that are court feel shoes. Meaning not much cushion. If you love your cushion then this shoes is not for you. Best of luck.Something that I found cool: I semi-rolled my ankle in these and walked it off. I do not know if it's the rounded edge of the shoes that played a role in this, but I was pretty happy when I walked it off and got in 5 minutes later. It was a pretty bad roll too.... Show more

Responsive
I'm reviewing this shoe against a couple of shoes. My last pair of basketball shoes was the Nike Shox Lethal TB. People say the Kyrie 3 has no cushioning for the forefoot. There may not be an Air Unit but there is cushioning in the forefoot, more than my Nike Shox. The shoe feels higher than my Nike Shox. But not as high as the Lebron XIV. The Kyrie 3 handles like a Honda Civic, quick with the cuts and turns. The Lebron XIV handles like a Honda Odyssey, squishy and bouncy for comfort and bone-jar protection. On first impressions, the Kyrie 3 are light, excellent outdoor traction and very responsive. I normally wear a wide size but these fit fine. Not a true wide shoe, though.... Show more

Wish the color wouldve stayed!
I have to start by saying I got the shoes delievered today and like any normal person I wanted to run them. An hour later of just playing pick up at lake forest rec center. I looked down and the paint is already chipping off the toes! Are you kidding an hour of light ballin and this happens thats unheared of! Thats a major factor of my rating, Im truly disappointed that would happen. I do have to say I truly enjoy the shoe. Its super comfortable! The rounded rubber sole makes you feel like youre on the balls of your feet on every play. Thats great, since I love running the fast break. Shoe held up well and didnt falter on any cuts. I would say my favorite shoe but the paint chipping is just too disappointing.... Show more
