Eye Catching but Fits a Little Tight

I really like the color and style of the shoe. The blue and yellow design is eye-catching and sporty without being too gaudy. I could do without the plastic pieces on either side
of the laces though. At times I've felt them poking into the top of my foot. The soles feel like you're walking on memory foam - super comfortable. They fit like other Nike
shoes that I've purchased in the past: they feel like they run about a half size small and slightly narrow, and the toe box is a little small. I've worn them for a few HIIT-style
work outs and some basic strength training, and they were comfortable with good ankle support.Overall these are a quality pair of Nikes that I'd feel comfortabl... Show more

You can definitely see the thought that went into designing these. The orange and blue on this specific shoe were a little bold for his liking and his main complaint was that he did not have a lot of outfits-casual or basketball, that would go with the colors. That is not stopping him from wearing daily! Overall, this shoe is highly recommended for both a basketball player, and/or someone who wants a sturdy, super comfortable, and well-designed shoe for everyday wear.... Show more

Kyrie 7s
2 March 2021
These shoes have a lot of flair. The yellow appears like gold in contrast with the navy blue. The Kyrie 7s provide comfort and support with style and functionality. They are light weight, have exceptional grip, and provide a good cushion to the soles of your feet. They are everything I was looking for in a pair of basketball shoes because I can wear them both casually and to play hoops. It took about 2 days to break in the shoes which is normal for me because I have wide feet. After the two days I wore it to play some pickup games with friends and they performed beautifully. Overall solid shoe. All the colors they come in are so unique, will be looking to purchase another pair soon.... Show more

Looks great, fits not so great

First impressions: Shoes look great. I like the colors (a royal blue with a bright orange sole) and the overall look of the shoe. I could see myself wearing these playing basketball or dressed casual with my favorite tee and jeans. However, after picking them out of the box, they feel quite stiff. The soles and the sides of the shoe are very rigid. Putting them on was also difficult and once they were on, they felt very tight around my feet. I normally wear size 10 and these shoes feel very narrow. After a few minutes of wearing these shoes, I started to get pins and needles on my toes. So I tried again with the laces untied-but still uncomfortable. After I completely removed all the laces, this alleviated some of the pressure on my feet but not enough that I had ... MoreFirst impressions: Shoes look great. Then I took off my socks and tried wearing them once again. Definitely a lot better, but who wears sneakers without socks? If I was at the store trying on these shoes, I definitely would not have bought them-maybe size up 1 whole size, but I didn't have the opportunity to do that. I rate these shoes a 3 out of 10, mainly for the look and colors- but these shoes were definitely not comfortable, or just ran narrow. Perhaps a more flexible and bendable sole would help make this shoe more comfortable.... Show more

NIke Kyrie 7 review
5 March 2021
First off, this is the first pair of Nike Basketball shoes I have owned in nearly 15 year. I have not had great experiences with the fit of Nike basketball shoes. That changed with these. I loved how this shoe fit. These exhibited a snug fit out of the box, but comfortable. I have worn these primarily for playing basketball. but they are comfortable enough that I can also wear them around for long periods of time. They are lightweight and laterally supportive. What it lacks in high ankle support, it makes up for in a wide stable sole that didn't want to roll over. It is a snug fit, and so I did not wear ankle braces with the shoe. If you normally wear ankle braces with basketball shoes, this may not be the shoe for you, as there is not a lot of extra space out of ... MoreFirst off, this is the first pair of Nike Basketball shoes I have owned in nearly 15 year. If you normally wear ankle braces with basketball shoes, this may not be the shoe for you, as there is not a lot of extra space out of the box. The shoe did not feel tight, just snug. I have a wide flat foot and really liked the way the shoe fit.I think the design is great. There are some little details like the sun and moon icons that I really liked. The colors are flashy, without being obnoxious.Overall, my favorite aspect of the shoe was the fit and feel. The only thing that I did not like were the shoelace attachments. It feels like the shoelace attachment points could have been a little bit more flush with the rest of the shoe, they stick out a little bit. That is simply a personal preference though.I have only had the shoe for a short time, so I cannot speak to how durable it will be, but there are no indications of premature wear so far. I have used the shoe to regularly play basketball on an outdoor court (concrete surface).... Show more

Perfect Fit, Innovative Design, Amazing Traction!

First off, let me just say that the new Kyrie 7s are best analyzed in hand. It's almost impossible to capture the full color and design of the shoe in one picture or review. Here's an overview of some of the highlights of what I loved most about the Kyrie 7s though:Style: Nike and Kyrie score a very strong 5-stars here for designing a shoe that strikes a rare balance between creativity, vibrant colors & meaningful designs, without making the shoe looking like a full blown Picasso painting. This becomes even more meaningful when you read in the write-up for the shoe that the innovative design is meant to reflect Kyrie's creative ball-handling skills on the court that make him almost impossible to defend, & also his personal values. This becomes even more meaningful when you read in the write-up for the shoe that the innovative design is meant to reflect Kyrie's creative ball-handling skills on the court that make him almost impossible to defend, & also his personal values. The eye and moon patterns on the back represent enlightenment and balance. You can tell hard work and thought went into the design and it really paid off. I've worn tons of different basketball shoes since I was a kid, and these are my favorite so far in terms of style and design. The colors go well together... the logo and emblems look awesome... and even the interior of the shoe stands out.Fit: These shoes were definitely designed with more than just style in mind, but actual on-court performance and comfort. Obviously these can also be worn for everyday use as well and work very well it that area. Also though, every basketball player knows how important it is for your shoes to fit snug in-game. In order to perform at the highest level, avoid ankle injuries and remain comfortable on the court, one's shoes can't be unstable so that you constantly have to adjust them over and over. The Kyrie 7s definitely check the box of "good and snug fit." I would recommend considering a full size or half a size up, but if you take a minute to adjust them right when you first put them on, you should be good to go throughout the day. Also, the shoes take a a couple of times wearing them to break in a bit, so you may want to wear them out a couple of times before using them on the court. The interior cushion is nice, and gets better overtime with use. The air zoom turbo also shines with this shoe so that they are breathable without compromising the fit. I would say a very strong 5 stars in the area of "fit" as well.Traction: These shoes were specifically designed to provide top-notch on-court traction, and they most certainly accomplish this better than any shoe I've ever tested in this area. The creators of the shoe had Kyrie's ankle breaking ball handling in mind when they tested it for traction, and it shows. If you're looking for shoes that not only look amazing and fit amazing, but also truly enhance your performance on the court in terms of traction, than this is the shoe for you.Overall it's very difficult to think of anything to complain about with the Kyrie 7s. Perhaps I might have made a few more upgrades since the Kyrie 5s & 6s, but I like the old saying - "if it ain't broke don't fix it." On top of the things I mentioned, the Kyrie 7s are also more affordable than comparable shoes in their class. I would highly recommend these to just about anyone except the opposing team on the court ;)... Show more

Perfect shoe

I don’t necessarily play basketball, but I definitely felt ready to at any given moment wearing these. They fit true to size and are ridiculously comfortable. They’re lightweight. What really makes them great is the insoles, which are really soft but still provide amazing arch support. I consider myself to have a pretty high arch so that’s a really big factor in the sneakers I wear. The colors aren’t something I would normally go out of my way to pick, but I was surprised with how many of my regular outfits I was able to wear them with. They’re sporty enough and casual enough to go with many different styles. These were comfortable enough to lounge around in or chase my kids around the playground for an hour. Versatile and Comfy

My husband loves a good pair of sports shoes. Especially a stylish pair that can transition from casual wear to workouts. Nike’s Kyrie 7 shoes definitely stand out from the crowd in terms of looks and performance. The bold design of this shoe can pair with workout clothes or jeans pretty easily. Their versatility makes them a good choice for trips when you are limited to how much you can put in your suitcase. My husband’s Kyrie 7s are a blue and orange combo. While he likes the blue, the orange is a bit too dull for his taste. He usually prefers a monochromatic, solid colored shoe instead so that it sleek and not too busy. The inside is pretty cushioned and seems breathable (very important for workouts!) but the best part about this shoe is how lightweight it is. It really feels like wearing air, perfect for his pickup basketball games. A size 13 fits true to size, however the width is a little snug for his wide feet. This shoe is closer to a low top so your foot shifts around a little bit when active. It would be better if there was either a higher heel or a strap across the front to help hold your foot in place. It would also be nice if there was loop on the back of the heel to help you pull the shoe on (just personal preference). Overall he is pretty pleased with these as both a basketball and casual shoe, although a couple improvements could be made.... Show more

Would highly recommend these shoes
24 February 2021
These basketball shoes are high tops that are dark blue and pink. I have had these shoes for 8 months and have used them every day since I have gotten them. I have been playing basketball for 11 years and have been through many pairs of basketball shoes and I would highly recommend these shoes. They have a tight, narrow feel to them, and the sizes typically run smaller. I noticed they seem to more closely follow the woman’s sizing scale even though they are men’s shoes. You may need to buy a couple sizes bigger than you normally wear if you are used to wearing men’s sizes. They have held up extremely well for how long I have had them and how frequently I use them. Overall, this shoe has a great feel, are light, and supportive. The only thing that could be improved is the tongue of the shoe. I have noticed when you tie the shoes tight after a few months it starts to rip a hole in the tongue. The material could be made a little thicker to prevent this from happening. I would buy these shoes again because of how long they have lasted and the great quality and fit of the shoes.... Show more
