I really enjoyed the design and features of this shoe. I run most days of the week and without the right shoe, it can get really painful and prevent me from doing the regular run that fixes my whole day. I loved that these shoes had more cushioning than the average running shoe. The strong arch support is also a great feature. These two features really help for maintaining endurance and preventing strains. These shoes are perfect for wider feet and are very comfortable. I plan to have these as my traveling shoes too because of how comfortable they are to walk in for long durations. The design is also very stylish and goes well with other activewear that I have. The reflective material is also another perk for running at night.

My immediate thought when I put on the shoes was that it was very comfortable. I typically wear wide shoes, but even though this is not a wide size, there is plenty of room in the toe box. The toe box is mesh and flexible, allowing my feet to breathe nicely. The tongue is minimally cushioned, which is quite different from my other shoes and makes one feel the tightness of the laces more. That's neither a con or a pro, just note that the tongue is thin and therefore helps you feel more locked-in, but the laces are a noticeable pressure on the top of your foot. This shoe, while light, has significant cushion. It makes for a good "long-run" shoe because of how much cushion it has. The React foam really fits around your foot and provides pillow like support. In my regular trail walking, the Miler 2 was stable and easy from foot to toe. As I increased to jogging and running, the shoes demonstrated their performance side, with a strong spring coming from every placement and push off, making these shoes fun to put on and spring out on to the road. The shoe is well padded around your foot, at the heel and with the heel collar, and with its strengthened tongue. While not a competitive runner, I enjoy a comfortable walk or easy run daily ... The fit and feel of this shoe is decently comfortable. I do feel like the heel is very cushioned, but as the shoe tapers down to the toe, the cushion seems to be lacking in comparison. Overall, I think the design is pretty bulky. They aren’t heavy by any means, but the flare of the heel out the back side plus width wise makes them feel very big. I was able to wear these shoes for three 12 hour shifts as a nurse on my feet with 12,000+ steps each day, and I felt comfortable. I like the colors, as I feel they will go well with most everything. The toebox is a bit narrow, which is something I wish I could change. I wish they were less bulky with the foam. I feel like they are high heels pretending to be running shoes.

The few drawbacks of these shoes are mainly due to the choice to prioritize durability. They are VERY stiff. The thick outsole will last for hundreds of miles, but it lacks flexibility. They're also a bit heavy. The stiffness and weight means you'll feel these when you run. But again, you shouldn't be buying these to break any PRs, so the stiffness and weight aren't huge drawbacks.Two things frustrated me and kept my rating from being 5 stars. First, the laces are way too short. That's annoying, but fixable. The second isn't fixable: they run pretty hot. Today I ran 3 miles at 65 degrees (F), and my feet were damp by the end. That's pretty irregular for me. It was a blustery day with >25 MPH wind gusts and my feet never felt a single breath of wind. Maybe a non-black colorway would help with the heat, but the cushioning and the thickness of the uppers are going to cause them to heat up more than preferred. This is disappointing because Nike redesigned the uppers after v1 to try to fix this problem. They'll need to go back to the drawing board for v3...If you want to run a boatload of miles without buying a second pair of shoes, this is the shoe for you. If you want to run PRs on tempo runs, look elsewhere. But for what the React Miler 2s are advertised to do, they'll do it very well. They also look pretty decent (especially compared to non-Nike running shoes, and compared to version 1 of these shoes.) I'll probably wear them to work on some days as well. Overall, you won't regret buying these, especially at a relatively competitive price.
