As someone who typically throws on any athletic short for the occasional run, I can't speak about how they stack up to other true "running" shorts, but they get the job done. I was afraid the brief lining was going to feel weird, but was surprised to note that it doesn't feel out of place or uncomfortable at all. I run about 4 times a week and my favorite part about the shorts is the inner liner. It’s extremely soft and covers enough of my thigh to prevent chafing when I’m sweating and getting in a good run. The moisture wicking fabric is really beneficial. There’s also a zippered pocket in the back where I can easily place my key to the house without having to worry about it flying out. The elastic waist band is also one of the most comfortable one’s I have. It easily moves with my body without rolling and stays securely in place without being too tight or uncomfortable. I love how the recycled material feels on my skin and they do not ride up your thighs! I have worn other shorts and they always ride up and do not stay as dry!
