Be prepared to crush that WOD with the Nike Metcon 6. These cross-training shoes are sturdy, stable and cooler than evermdashperfect for CrossFit, HIIT classes or other workouts. A low, flat and wide heel in the Metcon allows a stable base for deadlifts and other weighted exercises. There is a removable Hyperlift insert, so you can adjust the height under your heel depending on the exercise and weight. The rubber tread on the outsole provides traction on the slick gym floor and the outsole extends up the sides so you have traction to climb ropes. The cushioning in the Metcon is perfect for high-impact movesmdashit is firmer in the heel so you have a secure feel and softer in the forefoot to cushion so you can get the most out of your workout. Finally, this is the most breathable version of the Nike Metcon yet. In fact Nike says it is 18 more breathable than the Metcon 5. The lightweight mesh keeps the air flowing as your workout heats up, and it is durable enough to stand up to the push and pull of heavily weighted and high-intensity workouts. So go ahead and do that additional squat, or climb higher on the rope in a pair of the Nike Metcon 6.

I call these my leg day shoes & they get the job done. I didn't realize how much I was struggling without flat bedded shoes for lifting & working out legs. Very comfortable, especially on the sides & arch of the shoe. As for the design of them they're alright. Sometimes I feel like it's missing something or lacking another design element. But, overall I would buy them again. I went up .5, my regular size 9 was so tight I couldn't feel my toes. I also do not have a wide or narrow foot, just regular. If you never owned flat shoes before I highly recommend trying them on first before you buy them.

The Metcon continues to be my favorite iteration of the Nike Metcon. Comfortable, stable, good looking. The material is sturdy and snug but doesn’t make the feet sweat and you can just tell it’s a quality shoe. I’m a fan of not tying my laces (pretty much ever) and these are snug enough to even run in with them flopping by around. This colorway is sweet too. Already get compliments after only wearing them twice.Highly recommend getting your hands on the Metcon 6 before they disappear since the 7 (in my opinion) are ugly as sin.

I had read plenty of reviews for the last couple of years on Nike's Metcon shoes, but had been reluctant to purchase until this year. These shoes exceeded expectations from the start!! An extremely snug fit, which I really enjoyed, I have narrow feet and I highly recommend these shoes for ppl with narrow feet. The stability for squats is outstanding and on the total opposite end has enough flexibility and not too bulky for doing high intensity workouts. I wouldn't feel comfortable running 3 miles in the shoes but up to 1.5 miles feels like an acceptable amount of distance these training shoes could withstand.

I've been doing Crossfit for almost 7 years and this is my first pair of Nikes. I've been a hardcore Reebok wearer until now (Nano 2, 3, 7, 8, and lifter). I finally decided to try the Metcon 6 because it had a lot of great reviews and is a great looking shoe. I was a little concerned about them being more narrow than Reeboks, but these are fine. No issues for me and I think I have a medium width foot, maybe even slightly wide. I wear an 11.5 in both Reebok and Nike. I've been wearing these for a few weeks now exclusively in the gym and have done various squats, cleans, snatches, jerks, burpees, rowing, and double unders in them. I haven't had a chance to try them out on a rope climb and haven't run in them yet, but I think they'll be good with the huge rope grip ... I haven't had a chance to try them out on a rope climb and haven't run in them yet, but I think they'll be good with the huge rope grip and comfortable forefoot padding. They definitely have a different feel to them than my Nano 8s, but I think I'm going to continue to like them as they break in more. You'll definitely notice they're loud to walk in if you're used to Reeboks, but that's not an issue for me.
Honestly, this shoe was extremely underwhelming. There is little to no padding, a light shoe is great, but it should be functional too. The low heel doesn’t feel that low compared to say a high end basketball shoe. The only part that I thought was really good was the toe flex at the bottom during lunges. Overall, not that great of a shoe.
Nike are my go to trainer. I bought these after returning to crossfit. They look good and make my size 9 feet look smaller than they are. They are 4 star as I find them quite expensive for what they are but they are flat enough and flexible enough for most exercise. I wouldn't feel too confident with running in them as there isn't much cushioning but for every other exercise they are up to the task. They come with a little heel insert for deadlifts and squats etc. I haven't tried these out as I find it impractical to go and put these in and out but it's an additional feature if that's your thing.
These shoes are replacing my Metcon 3's and they are a huge upgrade over them. Nike has dealt with all the minor issues that caused my 3's to just be a good shoe and the 6's now being a great shoe. The fit is perfect and even with my narrow feet I am able to snug the laces to the point where there is no slop at all in the shoe. I have not done any extended running but while doing Kelly this week [5 separate 400 m runs] my feet felt well supported. Having the heel supports for things like back squats & wall balls is another huge plus and being able to quickly get them in and out of the shoe allows for great flexibility during my workouts. I can't say if these are a major improvement over the Metcon 5's but if your workout shoes are older than that the Metcon 6 would ... I bought these because I was wearing different boost foam adidas shoes that were worn out and ended up injuring my knees because the shoes just weren't supportive. I never really thought footwear was that important when squatting, deadlifting, etc. until I used the Metcon 6s.However, I strained/sprained both of my knees with some questionable squat. The Metcon 6 is a huge difference compared to my old worn out shoes I'd wear. I actually feel heel cup support and forefoot support. I feel like my shoe is actually helping me lifting and it is supportive and comfortable. It's a much better feel than boost foam, which kind of just sinks under my foot. People also compliment the Metcon 6s. I just wear them to the gym, but it's still nice to get compliments. They remind me of a high-end soccer shoe style-wise. I haven't tried the inserts yet, but I do like that they come with the shoe automatically.
I love these shoes and only wear them for at home workouts. They hug my feet really well for HIIT exercises. They are a bit lower on the ankle than I expected so make sure you order the right size. Nike tends to run a bit small for me, so I order 12 instead of the normal 11.5 or 11 that other shoes seem to work for me. Love the style of camo. The toes were a bit tight because of the stiff material there, but they soften over time. Love the product overall!!
I’m not the type of person to write reviews, even if I really like the product. Considering that, I HAD to write a review for the Metcon 6 because they exceeded my expectations. They are the perfect workout shoe. They’re light and comfortable but still stable and supportive enough for single leg movements. After buying these shoes my squats have been deeper and my lunges have been steadier. I think they just provide me with the balance I need to make the most out of every movement involved in weight lifting. The hyperlift is just an added bonus that improves the shoes and my exercises even more.
