Best shoe you’ll ever put on!

This shoe is an experience! As soon as it’s on, you’ll begin to envision PB’s and PR’s. Makes you feel like a super hero. This may be the highest quality shoe Nike has ever made. The fit of the shoe is the most perfectly stable, locked in feeling I’ve ever experienced in a shoe. You can see and feel the durability, like the shoe is indestructible. Yet, somehow there also remains the feeling of being a light, athletic, fast shoe. I want a pair in every color. Stock up on this one before it is discontinued!

I had tried 3 different sizes and they all runs small

I initially bought the Metcon Flyknit 3 to my actual size (against online advice of going larger) Returned them and bought larger sizes at other retailers (purchased 10.5 to 11 and then to 11.5) but no matter what size the sneaker was too tight at the midfoot (my toes went numb just wearing all of them at home) I gave up and returned all three pairs. I suspect the issue may be part to design; the sneaker is a "solid piece" and there is no sneaker tongue like convention sneakers. I could be wrong but that's the only thing I can think of.Quality seems good and what you expect from Nike. This is the first time I ever encounter a size issue from Nike.

I would not purchase these again.

I recently purchased these shoes for working out. The look great and fit great. however, I have used the shoes very minimally (gym, sprints, calisthenics, and one week at boxing) and the soles are already separating and tearing. I love how the shoes fit when I got them but they have broken down very quickly and I can feel the difference in them. Yesterday when the sole tore on them I could immediately feel it and made the shoe what to roll over when doing my circuit drills. IMO they were too expensive to fall apart so quickly. And these shoes are not worn regularly as I must wear a uniform and boost at work and use other shoes for sunning and heavy lifting. I only weigh 150lbs so I don't think weight was an influence either

Needs some extra work
1 March 2020

Definitely runs 1/2 size smaller, some may argue a whole size smaller. The first time I wore it... it was actually so tight that I had to cut my workout short. I knew they just needed to be stretched out some because it was only tight on the top where the laces tied. I rolled up some small towels and left it stuffed in there over a night or two... Now, it fits perfectly. I felt the difference in my dead lifts and squats from my metcon frees. Much sturdier and flatter yet cushioned where I need it. I’m glad I gave it some time. Love my new, worn in sneaks. AND they great.

SUPER Comfortable and VERY Stable
17 February 2019

I bought a pair of Metcon Flyknit 3s without actually intending to buy them. I was trying on various pairs of trainers and thinking I'd probably end up purchasing the Free X Metcons because a lot of friends really talked them up. A pair of Flyknit 3s were sitting next to them and so I thought "might as well try them on before I check out." I am so glad I did. They are probably the most comfortable and stable shoes I've worked with for group fitness classes. (And I own several trainers.) You see a lot of mixed reviews for this particular shoe, and honestly, it's easy to see why. The shoe revolves around a thick, inner sock construction. If the inner sock DOESN'T fit your foot perfectly, then unfortunately, no amount of tightening or loosening the laces is going to make this shoe work for you. That said, give them a try. They might be your new favorite shoe.

The Perfect Trainer
1 December 2022

Very snug trainer! When they say that a shoe fits like a glove (or sock), this is probably the one they were thinking about. The snug fit enables you to make quick movements without fear of the shoe slipping off, and the soles equally grip the floor. The material of the shoe is durable, and looks like it has waterproof elements. This is that kind of shoe that I wish all metcons could be modeled after.

The best flyknit metcon yet!
5 March 2019

I've had all the versions of both the flyknit metcons AND the regular metcons. This is definitely the best flyknit metcon yet. I didn't like the 2's because my heel kept slipping out when doing sprints and pushing a sled. But these are a lot more secure and locked in.Since having these shoes for a couplemonths now, I've deadlifted up to 405 (but if given the option I would switch to a regular metcon after 315) and cleaned 225 in these shoes.... anything more than a 225 clean and jerk maybe even a 185 I would definitely switch to a regular metcon. The soles are definitely more comfortable to wear for longer durations and just walk around and run errands in. But of course, at a cost, as the soles give and compress under heavier lifts. The best gym shoes I have bought thus far
10 February 2019

My favorite Gym shoes thus farA great BuyA while back I was looking for a pair of shoes that were moderately priced, comfortable, durable, and good for about any type of exercise. I came across this shoe and it met nearly all my criteria. These shoes are about a perfect hybrid between running shoes and weightlifting shoes, good for running short distances in, as well as for lifting weights.Who might wear these? The ideal user of these training shoes would be someone who enjoys working out. Specifically these are good for somebody that wants a pair of shoes that they can do a multitude of workouts in. These are great for squats, provide a great platform for that, as well as for any of the olympic lifts you might want to do. Specifically these are good for somebody that wants a pair of shoes that they can do a multitude of workouts in. These are great for squats, provide a great platform for that, as well as for any of the olympic lifts you might want to do. Great for sprints, although you would not want to run much more than short sprints in these shoes. The flyknit fabric is very nice, as it forms to your foot very well, this coupled with the flywire laces anchors your foot in the shoe. They are also great if you would want to do handstand pushups against a wall. The acrylic on the heel of the shoe slides up and down walls very easily, it doesn't catch like many previous shoes I've had. You can do this on any wall also, as it doesn't mark the wall as it slides along.DurabilityI have had these shoes for well over a year now and they are still in very good shape. I wear them quite often, mostly for going to the gym, as well as just walking around day to day. I rarely clean them, but when I do the white material on the sides always comes clean rather quickly. They are very easy to clean, not needing much upkeep whatsoever. These shoes are also very well put together, many other shoes I have had start tearing away where the sole of the shoe and the uppermost part come together. These shoes however, for having them as long as I have, show no signs of that. This indicates a great level of attention shown in the manufacturing of these shoes.

Way too small - Won't break in
12 August 2020

I love the look of these shoes, but whenever I put them on and went for a walk (just to loosen them up), I immediately started getting blisters on both of my heels. I was hobbling on my way back home. So, I decided to just work them in a bit more - tried manually pushing in the material, tried expanding the material, kept wearing them while sitting down. Nothing worked. I'm on my 10th time wearing them and they still give me blisters on the back of my heel. Even if I were to buy these in an 11, the width would still be too small. My feet are not large by any means. Save your money - I regret this purchase. Just a FYI, I like the majority of of my Nike stuff purchased, but this one should have not passed quality control.

Way too tight across instep
24 June 2020

This is a good looking shoe and would be a favorite if it weren't so tight across the instep. I don't have a high instep, but this shoe leaves red marks on my feet. There's good width in the toe box, and the right amount of cushioning, but I can barely wear them and dread putting them on because of the instep issue. From the other reviews it looks like this is a common complaint. Nike seems to use a different foot model for each shoe design, and I haven't yet found one that's right; each is wrong for a different reason. I was hoping these would stretch out but I'm afraid it won't be enough. I would not buy again.
