Let me start out by saying that I have been searching for months for a trail shoe that is waterproof, comes in a wide men's width ( I wear a mens 9 2E), and has good cushion. I
have had nothing but bad luck. I read the reviews on the Peg 2 Trail and it said the toebox was wider, so gave the men's 9D a try. I LOVE THIS SHOE! Did a 3 mile training run
right out of the box on a rainy Oregon day and it was awesome! Mixed terrain of pavement, mud, gravel and woodchips is a challenge to any trail shoe. The Pegasus
cushioning was awesome on the pavement, the lugs did a great job gripping on any surfaces, and the faux gaiter kept out the debris. The Goretex kept my feet c... Show more

Super comfortable and grippy. I had to size down from 10.5 to 10 due preferring a more snug fit. Both the sloppy toebox and angle of the heel allowed for a lot of
sliding.Speaking specifically on the all white (platinum) colorway: do not use these for trail running.I assumed that Nike made waterproof white trail running shoes because
they had some sort of tech, like hydrophobic coating that would repel water off the shoe. That is not the case. The shoes do not stay white for very long. These are
mud-colored shoes after a single outing.I would totally buy another pair, just not in white.

This is a great shoe! The Nike Pegasus Trailrunner is amazing! This shoe has details I didn’t even know I needed, there is a little lip on the heel to keep it secure, its genius! No
more shoe sliding on the heel! Also, very shock absorbing which is a must with me. Definitely the most comfortable running shoe I’ve had on in a while, all day long comfort!

Great Outdoor Running Shoe
22 December 2020
These shoes are awesome! The look of the all black was sleek with the reflective tongue. The shoes are super lightweight and perfect for running. They did take about a day to break in so just be aware. They ran a little narrow but nothing more than any other Nike running shoes have. I have actually been wearing these all day and are comfortable enough I don't even notice them! The Goretex lining is awesome and held up in the slight moisture I encountered but haven't been taking them through any puddles. The grip of these are superb and can't believe how well they have held up! I would definitely buy these again once these wear out but don't see that happening any time soon!... Show more

Great shoe
21 December 2020
I wore the Nike Pegasus Trailrunner shoes almost daily for the last two weeks. They fit just right with thin socks, but any sock with cushion will make them feel tight across the top of the foot. They are so comfortable that I would wear them for 10+ hours each day without any problem. They are comfortable for daily walking and going up and down stairs. My feet did not overheat in them and the soles are very well cushioned. The soles did not slip on any of the surfaces that I walked on. The design is sleek and goes great with jeans or work out pants. I would recommend these shoes to anyone who walks, stands or runs for any significant amount of time.... Show more

Great shoe but don't trust the color on your screen
14 January 2021
I purchased the "White/Pure Platinum/Light Smoke Grey/White" and the "Dark Sulfur/Parachute". The white is just a GREAT looking shoe. Color is identical to the image. The sulfur is NOT. The top of the shoe is less orange than the photo, more yellow. The swoosh and 'gore-tex' branding is extremely faded so it looks more pinkish than red. Lastly, the sole looks far more green in person. All of this could be driven by the settings on my monitor but I doubt that since other items I've ordered look exactly like their photos. That and the fact that when you google images of it you see the difference on other sites. That said.. none of this takes away from the fact that the design is great, the white/grey looks amazing, and regardless of color the shoe itself is extremely ... MoreI purchased the "White/Pure Platinum/Light Smoke Grey/White" and the "Dark Sulfur/Parachute". Great Support

This was a newer acquisition for me - I got it knowing that, with what’s currently going on in the world and the current weather here in Michigan, my husband wouldn’t be using it much for exercise based activities but for everyday work instead. My husband works retail and is often on his feet for 10-13 hours a day, shifting between different flooring surfaces. One of his main complaints in the past while wearing no name sneakers has been that when he transitions from carpet to tile to concrete, he begins to get an ache in his feet and legs. Another complaint of his is, obviously, that shoes are never comfortable enough for him to want to wear for his whole shift, or that they wear out within a few weeks of daily work.He was thoroughly pleased to get his hands on ... MoreThis was a newer acquisition for me - I got it knowing that, with what’s currently going on in the world and the current weather here in Michigan, my husband wouldn’t be using it much for exercise based activities but for everyday work instead. My husband works retail and is often on his feet for 10-13 hours a day, shifting between different flooring surfaces. They’re clean looking, all black and grey, which gives them the image of being a more “professional” shoe while still giving him the support that he needs for being on his feet all day. One of the biggest selling points to him was that they’re supportive with lots of traction, but still incredibly flexible, so by the end of the day, his feet and legs aren’t aching and he doesn’t want to rip them off.His only complaint is that he has a hard time keeping them tied, but that could just be the lace, or the fact that he’s in constant motion. Either way, he thoroughly enjoys these shoes!... Show more

Like walking on a cloud!
17 December 2020
The Nike Pegasus Trailrunner shoes are a relatively well thought out design. The insoles are comfortable enough to wear all day long whether at work or out on the trail. The insoles are my favorite feature by far and really do feel like you're walking on a cloud! The Gore Tex waterproofing is a nice touch and will really come in handy during rainy days. The laces look as though they will hold up well. Nike shoes do tend to run narrow for me and these are no exception, however the sides of the shoes have enough "give" that they will conform to my feet. I really like the overall aesthetic of the shoes. They're neutral and not overly flashy. I feel like these shoes will be a great staple in my wardrobe and hold up well.... Show more

Nike Trail 2 GORE-TEX in Monochromatic All-Black Color-way :)
18 November 2020
Nike Trail 2 GORE-TEXThe Nike Trail 2 and the Nike Trail 2 Gore-Tex are a completely different sneaker than the Pegasus 36 Trail GTX which is low-profile and ultra-lightweight. Unfortunately, the way they are the same is that they are 3 mm wider in the forefoot than the Road version of the Pegasus, why is that? The Nike Trail 2 has a rounded toe-box which I do not like as it feels slightly sloppy. I like and require a performance fit! The toe-fang is a nice protective element and it’s not noticeable whatsoever. The Gore-Tex version comes in a Monochromatic All-Black color-way with a matching React Foam mid-sole in Black, my ONLY color scheme! The React foam is amazing and super cushy and comfortable for every-day all-day use, especially if you’re standing on your feet all day. But due to the stack height which I like, the Nike Standard Trail 2 lacked serious stability. Just walking you could roll your ankle, which is not good! And that's why I returned the Standard Trail 2 version. But I find with the Nike Trail 2 Gore-Tex version they are at least 15% more stable, which is a good thing and that's why I'm keeping them. I equate it to the three-quarter length lightweight Gore-Tex liner which adds more support to the upper portion of the shoe. I could care less about weight, I care about quality, durability, traction, and 100% Gore-Tex waterproofing. I personally expect every trail running sneaker to come in Gore-Tex. Hooray! proper treads are finally back on some Nike sneakers! The treads are perfect for concrete, tarmac, broken-up tarmac, grass, packed dirt, and gravel. I expect all my sneakers to have a mid-aggressive quality grip! I really like the rip-stop material on the back heel. I also like the durability of the soft semi gator. I would’ve liked to see the gator come up 2 more inches at least, it’s super elasticized so anyone should be able to get their foot into the sneaker with no problem. The material is also utilized in the interior heel cup which is slightly slippery. There’s also a padded heel-pad to lock your heel in, but it is 2 mm too low, so it doesn’t work the way it was designed to. That’s why some other reviewers were commenting that there’s some heel slippage. The solid neoprene tongue without Gore-Tex is decent but does not offer any waterproofing. I really like the centered climbing shoelace eyelet in the forefoot that enables low to medium volume feet to not slop around as much. It does have a wider toe-box that I'm not particularly fond of, and yes they run true-to-size in length. This is a true hybrid sneaker, which is an important category that has been totally neglected for years, and I'd like to see get way more advanced. Nike Running inner-souls are the best Nike ever made. Nike Trail inner-souls offers just medium arch support, I NEED and prefer more arch support especially in a high performance running sneaker. And the horizontal pull-tab makes it really easy to grab and slip-on than a vertical one. I would’ve preferred a mid-gator for a little bit of additional ankle support and to keep out any dust and debris. I like the drop and I also like the heel height as I prefer my sneakers tipped down for a more aggressive stance. But for a true trail sneaker, Nike really needs to add some kind of lightweight Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composite (CFRP) Plate in the mid-foot midsole for better stability. To me, Nike's Trail Sneakers which should be under the All Conditions Gear (ACG) umbrella are still not there yet. They have a long way to go to get to the next level. I hope Nike and Nike Designers put more research & development, design, and money into these projects, which I feel are a necessary category especially since weather is becoming more and more erratic and not as predictable season to season. Especially since Nike has downgraded the beloved Nike Air Max, and are now considered fashion sneakers :( and do not offer the quality and durability that they used to be known for.Request: I would love Nike to offer the Gore-Tex model at the same time they offer the non-Gore-Tex model, so we the end-users don't have to wait a whole year just to purchase a pair with Gore-Tex.As a Creative Director & Designer, I've always stated to footwear companies/manufacturers if there's footwear that's popular make it in two different widths, one Performance Width - which I NEED and desire, and one Wide Width to make every end-user happy. The best-fitting sneakers Nike ever made were the awesome Nike Air Max 2015, and Nike Shox Turbo+ 13!Keep pushing a Design limits!... The right running shoe for rough outdoor terrain and just running
15 June 2021
So I have had these shoes now since they first were available to purchase. The first few times wearing them they definitely needed some breaking in. The right shoe tended to bunch up on the toe area but wearing them a few times it seamed to flatten out and not be a bothersome. Now the weather is nice I have been wearing these shoes out more in runs with rough terrain and I have to say the ride on these shoes are very comfortable. The shoes have the right amount of bounce and cushion making them have a great feel of comfort on hiking or running on rough terrain. Fit is precise and accurate, sometimes running shoes can lean on the tight side like cramped toes, these have a great room and fit just right. Overall I am pleased with this type of shoe and being waterproof ... MoreSo I have had these shoes now since they first were available to purchase.
