React pair more for running. I ran with those the first day which felt great but was looking forward to comparing with the 2090's which felt a bit heavier and different in how
my feet hit the pavement. There's a bit more bounce and propulsion with the React pair and looking forward to running in them again tomorrow. That being said,... Show more

The first time I put on the React pair, I was extra extra careful not to pull the tongue too hard while putting them on. The second time I put them on I relaxed a little but didn't pull hard at all before hearing 2 threads "pop". For the price of these I would expect them to be a bit more durable than that. These shoes do fit a bit more snug than the 2090's I got in the same size (11) and I'll have to run in them again before deciding if I want to move to size 11.5.All in all a great shoe for running. I'd give it 5 stars if not for the tongue issue.... Show more

Good Shoe, Minor Defect
26 July 2022
Overall, this is a nice running shoe with breathable materials and a grippy outsole. At first, the shoe feels like it lacks stability, but perhaps this is because of the extremely cushioned sole. Ask you walk/run, it may take some getting used to if you're coming from cross-training shoes or a shoe with thinner sole materials. I found the shoes very comfortable for my wide feet, however, it did take some breaking in to get acclimated to the "bouncy" or what may be called "responsive" ride. I would recommend breaking them in with a long walk combined with some slow jogging to get used to the feel if you are new to the react line of shoes (For me, this helped with forming the shoe to my foot and getting used to the height of the shore and feel of the toe ... MoreOverall, this is a nice running shoe with breathable materials and a grippy outsole. I am not sure if this was a manufacturer defect, or a lack of durability in the materials as the mesh upper is very breathable and also, in my case, prone to tear.... Show more

Just the right edits to the React series for daily runners needing more foot security!

In most brands I'm a size 12, but in Nike's I'm either a 12.5 or 13. I was a 13 in Zoom Fly's but a 12.5 in Pegasus. I got the React's when they first came out and the sock-fit upper was tight in 12.5 and loose in 13. I like the simple style and the sole however so I tried again when the Infinity React's came out and the 12.5 seemed to fit. Quickly I realized the forefoot was wider and (by design for the foot to splay), but unfortunately for me, my feet don't splay that much and the shoe felt loose in the toe box. Additionally the laces were only four slots, so I could NOT tune the fit towards the toes, nor did it have that extra lace-thru by the ankle to lock my heel in. As a toe runner, that extra lace-thru does wonders to keep my foot secured to the back of the shoe and prevents the slight cramming of my toes in the front which impacts my toenails on long runs and causes pain/bleeding/fall-outs.The other differences besides more lace holes is: a padded collar, tongued-upper instead of sock fit, and less wide of a toe box. The result is a shoe that fits me much better, very similar to that of the Pegasus. A shoe thats more comfortable, more intentional, and can truly be used by the serious runner. My only gripe would be the color ways aren't that cool. I ended up getting the light grey, but would've preferred to see more relevant/unique styling.... Show more

Flyknit shoes are pretty much my go-to for both all day wearing while being handy for the occasional run on and this is definitely a welcome addition to the rotation. As with my other pairs, it runs true to size and has a good comfortable fit for a medium arch, along with being lightweight and very breathable. You barely notice they're there at all, and you continue to notice nothing after a full day on your feet.Flyknit at its best. One drawback I should note: flywire is used pretty much everywhere and the tongue doesn't have a lot of travel, so it's significantly more snug to get into and much easier to tighten a bit much compared to other sneakers you may be used to since it really molds around your foot, even without using the lace lock. That's the only issue ... MoreFlyknit shoes are pretty much my go-to for both all day wearing while being handy for the occasional run on and this is definitely a welcome addition to the rotation. That itself is a double edged sword since the snug fit is ultimately good for running since it reduces heel slip but not great for a casual walk about town without loosening up. Given the fit dynamics, these are not the pair I'd leave tied and slip in and out of.... Show more

Nike Fusion Shoes NEEDED!? :)
16 December 2021
If you have a wide foot or arch issues then these may NOT be for you, unfortunately. I’m fairly new to taking care of my feet very seriously when it comes to all around support from everyday-walking/running. Flat shoes/ basketball shoes support doesn’t cut it anymore. These shoes look insane and cool and the tech behind it sounds great, but man is it a different story in person. Super narrow and the arch seems very emphasized. Also, kind of a hard firm shoe in my opinion when it comes to walking- jogging around.Ive recently tried zoomx invincible (165miles) and those are MUCH better (softer, especially on concrete path) when it comes to being active walking around/running at a good pace. It’s still very narrow towards the pinky toe unfortunately and has stability issues that take long getting used to.I’m currently trying the vomero 16, wide boys. THIS is where it’s at Nike! with the wide shoes for people! and the vomero 16 is pretty solid so far. (Only about 30 miles)Nike, we need a fusion. More zoomx? in the vomero 16 making the front strike more squishy/ reactive like zoomx invincible, while keeping the nice stability I feel the vomero 16 has. I feel like a fusion is needed between those and nike will have struck oil/ gold. A “Nike Vomero 16, with zoomx Invincible comfort, wide for those of us with wide feet.I’d call it like an ultimate training shoe for those of us trying to live a more active and healthy lifestyle. I can’t speak for everyone but I feel there’s a lot of people whom can agree with a review like this and are also looking for a similar style shoe and that idea. Wide, comfy but safe for feet and joints, and tested for longevity. Sounds like the perfect middle ground between being able to be very casual to being very active and athletic. Thanks for reading stay safe and take care :)... Show more

One of the best easy-day/recovery run shoes I have used. Good for Plantar Fasciitis and Peroneal Tendonitis.
6 September 2021
As a supinator, the outer edge of my running shoes, near the ball of the foot, receives the most wear. After only 100 miles, many shoes will have a noticeable gouge taken out of the outsole at this spot. The Infinity Run 2 has a uniquely durable yet thin outsole rubber that lasts me at least 300 miles before starting to wear through to the underlying midsole. This outsole durability, combined with a soft yet springy midsole material, has made it my go-to easy and recovery day trainer.Having used both the Infinity Run 1 and the Infinity Run 2, the Infinity Run 2 has a nearly identical midsole and outsole with the primary difference being a significantly more padded/built-up upper. Personally, I enjoyed the thinner and sock-like upper of the original more, but the Infinity Run 2 is a close second and a great easy-run/recovery day shoe.I find the toe-box to slightly tight as compared to non-Nike offerings but in-line with the typical snug Nike fit. This is not uncomfortable for my narrow foot after the first few break-in runs but does impede toe-splay as compared to wider offerings.Lastly, as a testament to the injury reducing nature advertised, I often feel discomfort I have self-diagnosed as Peroneal Tendonitis in my left ankle as well as persistently painful Plantar Fasciitis in my left foot. Both the Infinity Run 1 and the Infinity Run 2 have significantly reduced pain associated with both of these ailments to the point they are often not noticed during my typical 8 mile easy runs when wearing these shoes. To anyone who suffers from these injuries, especially the PF, this alone is worth the cost of entry.... Show more

Very Light and Comfortable
5 March 2021
The shoe is very light and comfortable for both walking and running. I did not use them for full-time wear, but I expect they would be very comfortable for that use as well. The overall design and appearance of the shoe is very clean and attractive. It can be difficult to find a well designed running shoe that isn't either totally plain or only available in extreme color or design combinations. The shoe felt much lighter in my hands and during use than I expected from the wide outsole area, which extends outside the borders of the foot and provides a very stable feel during use. The soft upper portion of the shoe helps with the fit and comfort. I usually experience some foot pain after running with new shoes for a number of runs, but this shoe seemed to allow my foot more freedom to take its own shape rather than forcing it to fit the shape of the shoe.Overall, I really loved the feel of the shoe when running and walking. I have not previously used a running shoe that felt this comfortable but also felt light during use. The only aspect of the shoe that I would be for more ventilation near the heel portion of the shoe, as it seemed to build more heat in that area than I am used to.... Show more
