I bought these for marathon training(NYC virtual). I decided to take a chance based on the sell that it provides a lower risk for injuries to develop. I have a pain in my knee at the start of my runs which sometimes comes back in the higher miles. This shoe felt great out of the box when I tested in the store. It felt so cushioned and had a nice, formed fit. I could tell right away in the store that already my knee was liking this shoe. I want to say these shoes needed little, if any breaking in. They are such a light shoe too. Also, I had bought a pair of personalized inserts from RoadRunner but found that I didn't need them with these shoes. The sharp pain in my knee is now non-existent-amazing. Usually I develop some real soreness and pains in my feet as it gets ... MoreI bought these for marathon training(NYC virtual). I will be sticking to this shoe as long as they make it

I am a long distance runner, usually training for marathons. I have always bought stability shoes and was quite nervous about this purchase. After reading the reviews, I decided to give them a try. One thing I really like was the customer service that I received from RRS. Since we cannot currently go into stores, the employee was very helpful in giving me a few tips (which were spot on and so helpful). He suggested that I really give these a "chance". He was honest about the fact that the "sock-like" feel will be very different, but to wear socks that were just a little higher. Then, he told me to buy blister block band-aids because I would most likely get a blister. As with many shoes that are different from what you normally wear, your foot may blister. This ... I was able to run 16 miles in them this weekend and can proudly say that I am blister free! Yay! I am so happy with the amount of cushion and bounce that I feel while running in these. I really, really, hope the weather stays nice because these bright, white shoes look amazing too:)

I've ran three times in these shoes so far. The first two were both five mile runs. They felt good. However, when I went on a longer run, I started to get foot pain and my feet just felt tired around mile 6. I think these would be greatly improved if the upper had regular tongue and laces. Unlike most running shoes, the laces on these shoes don't really do much. Because there is no tongue, it makes it harder to tighten the shoes, which left my feet feeling a bit loose in the shoe, especially around the ankle area. I have narrow feet as it is, and these felt a bit wide throughout the shoe, especially in the ankle area. I'm hoping the next version of these shoes has a regular tongue/laces so there is a more locked down feel in the heel area. My feet felt a little like ... This review is unfortunate, but I recently bought the Infinity Reacts in 9 (TTS) and 9.5. The last Nike shoe that I ran in were the Lunarglide 7's from 4-5 years ago, I've never ran in a Nike since.Everything about the shoe is what you'd expect. Except the heel. The heel collar is the worst thing I've ever seen and felt in a shoe. The heel collar is so ridiculously loose it feels like I'm wearing a flip flop walking around the house in them. Light socks make it worse, and medium socks don't really do anything other than make the midfoot feel too tight. Even after lacing the shoe up to the point where it's cutting off circulation, the heel still slips.Genuinely disappointed as this seemed like the best option for me as a highly responsive, max cushion shoe for ... I typically like a more minimalist shoe and have run in the Brooks Pureflow and Nike Free's. I tried more cushion because I liked the style of the shoe more than anything, and while I don't love them for running (I feel like I run slower in them), most people love them. My friend is an athletic trainer for college track and her athletes all loved them. Because I strike so far forward on my foot, I don't love them for me. They seem built for a mid-foot/heel-striker with the shape of the sole looking to help you strike further forward and promote forward motion starting at your mid-foot. I also developed a blood blister on the inner right ball of my foot after running 10 miles in them. I still love the way they look and feel (the upper is more of a rough sock ... I still love the way they look and feel (the upper is more of a rough sock material), so I will keep them for everything else, but going back to the Brooks Pureflows for running. I would recommend them to someone who strikes with their heel-mid-foot and is prone to injury since Nike created them with injury prone people in mind, but not to people who strike with their mid-fore-foot.
I've been a recreational runner for over 35 years and have had my share of injuries. Most recently, I had a stress fracture to the 3rd metatarsal on my foot and, while it's healed completely, I can still have residual pain after a run. I haven't worn Nike running shoes in probably 20 years and decided to give them a try based on the product description regarding the lessening of injuries. My orthotics didn't fit in the shoes even after removing the insole, so I was initially very disappointed because from the first moment putting them on my feet, I loved the cushion in the sole and snug comfort of the flyknit. I decided to go for a short run without my orthotics and I was so surprised how supported my arches were, the cushion in my stride meant that I had no knee ... I've run a dozen times in them and have had no issues whatsoever. I think I'm sold forever.
Great fit, great cushion/spring, great toe box area, TERRIBLE cloth on shoe back!As a five year marathon runner who swears by Nike, I need something lightweight that will withstand MANY miles without giving me sore spots... from day one and every run after, I've had intense rubbing on Achilles Tendon area. And yes, this is even with wearing a tabbed, high back sock. The shoe material is so stiff and rough in the back area, and curves inward against the heel and Achilles, that it rubbed past blisters, straight to raw meat (through the sock material) on both Achilles spots. Ouch! Tried stretching this shoe area to no avail. Next step will be to cut material I guess (on a new, pricey pair of shoes)- shouldn't have to modify.:(Otherwise great... in my experience, I ... I looked at these shoes and wasn't interested because they only came in the dumb sherbity colors that women's athletic gear always comes in: teal, pink, purple, aqua...then they put out red. or "Bright Crimson"we all know what Crimson means: it means DARK RED. (See the harvard Crimson)this color is NOT RED.it is an ugly bright coral that was trendy in 2012.it is closer to the orange color of the nike box than it is to the red of my bag.i could have cried when i opened the box and i saw how ugly they were.but i love running so i tried running in them.i love nikes. i have six pairs of nikes sitting next to these shoes, all size 9.5. these shoes are an inch bigger, some of that is the extra support of the sole, but the shoes are bigger. i tried running in ... I've been running now for over 40 years and after some experimenting, stuck with either the Asics Gel Kayano or a stability Mizuno. I tried a Nike once (I think it was an Air Pegasus a very long time ago) and after just one run hated it and went back to the Gel Kayano. My son only wears leBron basketball shoes so I get regular emails from Nike who sent me one about this shoe. The design and thought process behind the React Infinity really intrigued me... a shoe that could actually cut down on injury? I've been lucky about staying relatively healthy considering the number of miles I've put on my body but I have had to deal with Plantar fasciitis, heel spurs and strained my Achilles so badly once I had to stop running for about 6 months. I've been lucky about staying relatively healthy considering the number of miles I've put on my body but I have had to deal with Plantar fasciitis, heel spurs and strained my Achilles so badly once I had to stop running for about 6 months. So, a shoe that could help prevent all those nasty things that makes runners take a break? I had to try it. This morning was my first run with this shoe. It felt great right out of the box. I usually get the custom insoles at the Roadrunner store but I won't be needing them for these shoes. They are just perfect. I have a high arch and the shoe has the perfect amount of support and my feet felt like they were being gently hugged but with ample room in the toe box. I even felt lighter on my feet and had a smooth, even stride. I usually buy a full size larger than my regular shoe size with Asics or Mizuno but half a size up was fine with this Nike shoe. The Roadrunner video about this shoe states that it could be either a neutral or stability. I only run in stability and I felt there was ample support and cushioning. Of course the jury is definitely still out regarding injury prevention but if this morning's run is any indication, Nike really has a winner with the React Infinity and runners will rejoice at steering clear of those nasty things that keep us off the road!
I am getting over a calf injury and have been wearing these shoes to walk/run short distances in. I haven't taken them out for a long run yet but they are insanely comfortable. The fit is unique with the midfoot tapering in. If you have wide arches it may irritate your arches but I have very thin and narrow feet. The toe box and heel being wider makes the shoe feel very stable. I don't feel like I will twist my ankle even when doing lateral movements. The only downside is the laces don't lace tight and the upper seems kind of cheap. The sock-like design makes this okay, but the plastic eyelets dig into the top of my foot if I try to lace them as tight as I like. If you are sensitive to uppers this may annoy you.The shoes are sleek and beautiful and I have gotten ... The back of the shoe does not rub my ankle and feels very nice and secure. The toe off is very smooth and they don't slip on the ground. These are also very comfortable to wear for elliptical/stairmaster/cross training.Really recommend these for recovery runs or just a good shoe that can do a lot.
