The Nike Pegasus Trail 4 GORE-TEX is your running companion for those days when the weather turns. Its waterproof GORE-TEX layer helps keep your feet dry, and less rubber in the outsole creates a smooth transition from road to trail without breaking stride. GORE-TEX along the upper helps your feet stay dry from precipitation without sacrificing that comfortable feel of the Peg Trail. Its flexible, lightweight design helps keep out the rain when running between the wet roads and trails.Nike Pegasus Trail 4 GORE-TEX men's trail running trainers.

I opted to play a round of Golf when the storms cleared and walked 18 holes at Kingsbarns in the same same shoes. Worked like a charm, no wet feet, stable enough to play 18 and walked about 6 miles in them. Toured the rest of Scotland in wet rainy conditions, again, no wet feel. Extremely comfortable for long walking and truly waterproof. Nice enough looking to wear around to casual restaurants and put some serious miles on for walking. Best part I wore them to Costa Rica last month thinking I would need them for Hiking and possibly for Golf. Not wanting to bring an extra pair of Golf shoes. I traveled out of NYC , winter (bad) weather, wore them on the plane, hiked in the rain forest and ended up playing another round of Golf in them. Kudos to Nike for the design/style/materials. Best purchase of sneakers ever.... Show more

Better options out there. Water resistant at best.
2 April 2024
Had the shoes for about a year or so. Worn about 15 times from wet ground to light rain to heavier rain. These shoes are water resistant at best. Wet ground its perfectly water proof, but then again many shoes are functionally could b comparable.During any bit of actual rain, my inside of shoes were wet and socks were drenched.DO not recommend if you want an actual "gortex" waterproof shoes. Not even close to waterproof. With that said, size is good, and fit is good. Decent shoes for trail or road running, also walking was good. Only problem was the waterproof part, which is why i got this shoes in the first place. Paid full price for the all black one.THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS OUT THERE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.... Show more

Great (but not perfect) trail shoe
18 October 2022
First, the good. For a trail running shoe, which can often feel overly bulky and rigid, this is about as nimble and comfortable as they come. They also look great — my boyfriend, who does not run, almost bought a pair for himself, and they’ve gotten compliments from strangers as well. But the biggest reason I upgraded from the Pegasus Trail 2s was the promise of rain-proof Gore-Tex, and these largely deliver. My first run in these was on a drizzly morning trail after a big storm the night before, with plenty of puddles and mud, and I did not find my feet drenched at the end as they almost always were even with other trail runners. That being said….The less good. Even though the shoes do a very good job of keeping water out, they do an unfortunately good job of ... MoreFirst, the good. That being said….The less good. Even though the shoes do a very good job of keeping water out, they do an unfortunately good job of keeping water in as well. About a mile in I started to feel moisture inside one shoe and feared that the shoes weren’t as waterproof as I had hoped. It turns out it wasn’t the outside of my socks I was feeling, but the inside. Definitionally, Gore-Tex isn’t the most breathable material, so any sweat that builds up inside will get trapped in greater amounts compared to non-coated shoes.Ultimately though, I bought these shoes for a very specific purpose: to run in wet conditions without worrying about soaking wet socks and the blisters that accompany them. And in that respect, I think these are the best waterproof trail shoes on the market right now. I’m looking forward to giving them a try in snowy conditions as well this winter.... Show more

Great Shoe, poor durability
10 June 2024
Was impressed with feel of sole and waterproof quality of gore-tex material. I’m 6’, 210lbs, purchased the size 11.0 giving room for a thick pair of socks to avoid toe freeze during cold wet days. Trail walk everyday, twice a day with my dog, on gravely, dirt paths, up and down gulleys. Was expecting this show to last at least a full year but after 3 months of full time use in Fall and starting back up this Spring, for another month (total use of 4.5months since last late summer early Fall excluding winter, and continuous cleaning of goretex shell/rubber sole) and the toe showed holes and seam between rubber and upper toe shell coming apart. For such an expensive and supposedly well-designed shoe, I would expect much more durability given that is marketed as a trail ... MoreWas impressed with feel of sole and waterproof quality of gore-tex material. The shoe feels great for the first couple of months but then starts to fall apart when actually using in wet, cold, muddy, gravely, rocky conditions (what’s the point of gore-text if the fabric wears out quickly, tears, and leaks?). Seems disappointing for what is expected to be a high quality, durable trail running shoe. I wanna love this shoe but just can’t see value if it doesn’t last.... Show more

I don't think I have the time or space to share just how much I love these shoes. To be honest, I may even write a letter to Nike to emphasize this further. As someone with wide and flat feet, these are the most incredibly comfortable Nike shoes I own. I'm extremely loyal to the Pegasus models and the Trail version with GORE-TEX has yet to disappoint. I found the toe box to be a little wider than the normal running models, but not so big that there is a need to size down. This adds to the comfort of the shoe, allowing for a more natural fit. These shoes are worth every single penny in that they are not only comfortable but actually keep your feet dry! I've worn mine everywhere--to an early morning tee-time and then later to work pouring concrete and I prefer simple, neutral colors like white or gray for sneakers and typically shy away from multi-colored sneakers but these colorways allowed me to step out of my comfort zone. Still, I would love a pair of plain white or light gray sneakers to add to my collection as that naturally fits my style more. Again, I cannot say enough positive things about this shoe and I wish I owned every pair! These shoes make me not want to wear another pair again because once you have the freedom from your toes and socks being wet, you never want to go back. Nike, thank you so much for yet another amazing shoe! Personally, I would do anything for more styles like this.... Show more

These are NOT supposed to be ultra-lightweight outdoor trail running sneakers. Nike Footwear Designers please leave that for other models such as the Pegasus 36 Gore-Tex. I’m looking for great design, build quality, durability, performance fitment, support, stability, style, waterproofing, and grippy traction. Why does Nike’s Trail Running Sneakers have these wider toe-boxes and rounded toe-caps which does NOT ergonomically contour the front of the asymmetrical human foot properly? To sloppy! They’re fine for every-day wear, but I don’t feel they offer enough support, stability, or durability for any kind of real active athletic endeavors.Pros are that they are Gore-Tex with a slight gator and pull-tabs, and they are very breathable because of the thin Gore-Tex membrane. *And they finally came out in an all Blacked-Out color-way, but the all-Black color-way was only offered on nike.com and in Nike stores, hard to obtain.Pegasus Trail 4 Gore-Tex are actually lighter than the lower profiled Pegasus 36 Gore-Tex which are ultra-lightweight, which is NOT what I want or need. But the one thing I like about the Pegasus 36 Gore-Tex is it has a more asymmetrical ergonomic pointed toe-box and toe-cap.The Air Max 2015 was the best shaped and fitting sneaker Nike has ever designed and produced. Nike’s Swiss Army Knife of running shoes
18 March 2024
I’m a SoCal runner who didn’t need to think about cold rain and snow until I recently started spending more time in mountains. Bought these to fill that gap - hybrid trail/road shoe to stay on trails/roads in any weather. I’ve run these on non-technical wet/muddy trails, technical dry/rocky trails, and wet roads with steep incline/decline. Size wise - I stayed with usual 9.5 and it works for me but I can tell the toe box is a smidge shorter than I’m used to with other Nikes. Gore-Tex is great - keeps wet out without any swamp feet from too much heat retention. Traction is fantastic on wet roads and non-technical trails and surprisingly solid on technical trails. Only gripe is tread pattern does not shed mud too well. Only gripe is tread pattern does not shed mud too well. I have not put in enough mileage to gauge durability, though this shoe has a new tackier rubber compound, which likely means faster wear. Higher ankle wrap definitely provides noticeable support. It offers some debris protection but is not a gaiter replacement for moisture. For the kind of high stack height and drop, this shoe performs nimbler on technical terrain than I expected. I notice the higher drop than my other trail shoes (Terra Kiger 6) at high pace downhill but don’t mind it. I’m definitely cautious of foot placement with stack height because that potential to roll feels like it’s there. Overall - shoe is exactly what one expects from a Pegasus made for either trail or road in any condition - it’s not the perfect tool for any job but it’s a good one for every job.... Show more

Now I remember why I don't buy Nikes
