The 2 has a cool design on the sole, but I knew I was going to wear through, which I eventually did. I think these will last quite a bit longer.Lastly, the Infinity 2 had a rounder shape to the foam in the sole that lent itself to rolling weight transfer if you ever find yourself heel striking. The 4 also has a round shape, but the center has a longer flat patch which feels more stable. Not sure I’d call it better or worse, just different.Either way, these are still great running shoes and looking forward to logging a few hundred miles on ‘em

It seriously feels like wearing a sock.These shoes replaced my Pegasus 38s (I was convinced I could not find a better running shoe then my pegs) and so far they have held up very well. The biggest difference between the two pairs is that the Pegs felt like a lot faster tempo trainer than these Infinity Runs.I am a 400/800 runner in high school and our workouts normally consist of 150-300m fast pace repeats and possibly a mile or two easy run every once in a while. Comparing the two shoes, the Pegs would definitely be better for my faster workouts and the IRNs would be better for slower, longer runs (the Pegs were still great for the mile jogs).

The previous Infinity Run models were fantastic long run shoes with a slightly firm, but very shock absorbent foam, a lot of cushioning, and a nice smooth rocker. I've run multiple 16 mile runs and one 20 mile run in them and they don't lose comfort during the run and leave my legs and feet feeling great. They were also very durable. The Infinity RN 4 has a softer foam that has a little bit of bounce, so the rocker isn't as smooth (though it's still effective). There's still a lot of cushioning and shock absorption, but my feet don't feel nearly as good in it (especially in the forefoot) and it feels incredibly heavy, which my legs really notice past 8 miles (but notice at least somewhat the whole way). I don't dislike it enough to return it, but I think that I will ... The ultra-comfortable collar and tongue enables a snug fit with flexibility.The ReactX in the midsole makes it feel as though you’re walking on air. I think the Waffle outsole will make this InfinityRN4 way go to for my Tempo Runs; Especially during transitioning from paved to gravel paths and vice versa. Yes, the notes/additional information about the shoe says they're a sung fit and nike recommends ordering a size up... but I didn't see that. The ReactX foam underfoot was very springy and responsive. because they were so soft and spongy, I don't think I would wear these for long grueling runs or runs where your pace is steady, upright, and comfortable (like a noncompetitive 10k run). With such a soft springy underfoot, they seem a bit unstable for a full foot cycle through type run, but I feel like these would be perfect for a quick 5k or a 1600m race pace street run. I ran my 2mile run at a VERY comfortable 12:30 min mile pace. I ran too slow and upright to let these shoes really shine. I will definitely be taking these back out and paying them the respect they deserve. All in all, these are great shoes for the price. I would certainly recommend them.

The shoe fits almost like a sock and stretches with your foot’s movement which gives it a nice snug fit. The midsole cushion is amazing. However would like to see more arch support and more cushion in the toe box area. Definitely take the advice and order a half size up per the online recommendation. These definitely run smaller than most shoes due to the stretch fabric design. They are water resistant to a certain extent but not “waterproof” like the Goretex version which would make this the ultimate running shoe. However the Goretex model is limited to only a few color options so that’s why I stuck with these. Overall a really comfortable and lightweight shoe with good color options to choose from. Very happy with my choice.

I prefer Nike shoes but had been purchasing other running shoes due to a lack of availability with Wide sizes that also looked good in addition to functionality.I spotted this shoe & it WAS available in WIDE and it has been a great purchase!Super comfortable and supportive! I’ve even been able to add some custom orthotics and the fit hasn’t changed, the arch supports fit without any extra work arounds.The support & cushioning you feel on each heel-toe transition is noticeable.The shoes breathe well, after using them exclusively in the sun during morning workouts under the Texas heat, I haven’t noticed any uncomfortable “hot-spots.”Lastly, I haven’t felt any slippage of the heel, or loosening of the laces that sometimes require constant adjustment after ... Running is something that I felt like I couldn't or shouldn't really do for awhile but it turns out that I've just been buying the wrong type of shoes.I was very rough on my body when I was younger which resulted in a microfracture surgery on my right knee and currently dealing with a fractured sesamoid on my right foot , so as you can imagine running would usually result in a good bit of pain.I went to a running store and had my feet scanned to help me with running since I overpronate and some shoes aggravate these injuries but just couldn't buy any of the ugly shoes they recommended.
