Excellent strength Training
This shoes are perfect for strength training. They are flat and comfortable for helping keeping your heels on the ground for lifting. I love that the shoe laces are under Velcro, you don’t have to stop and re-tie your laces specifically helpful when using mini resistance bands. They are wide enough to give your feet the support and room they need. I also use them for quick elliptical workout but since they are flat I would not recommend for running. Over all super happy with this shoes since most of my work outs are strength bases. I highly recommend. Might get another paid in another color to match.... Show more

Good but only for weight training
These shoes run a bit small, so I sized up a half size. I had to replace a pair of Nike flyknit trainers from years ago. The Metcon's are known for their stability. They have a very sturdy sole with limited flexibility. This makes them great for squats, deadlifts, and any moves that require a lot of balance standing up.However, because of the less flexible sole, they are not good for jumping exercises. Even some of my HIIT workouts that require squat jumps or jumping jacks. They lack of bounce in the sole creates hard impact on my ankles. Wish these were better for more cross-functional workouts.... Show more

Good supportive shoe for exercising and all day wear
The Metcon 7 Women’s Training Shoes have a supportive and snug fit. I would recommend sizing up by half a size because they run small. If you have wide feet you might need to size up more than half a size. These shoes have a sturdy, stabilizing feel because of the harder plastic used on the outside. I was worried the laces would come untied easily but the Velcro strap kept them in place all day long. The Velcro strap can be secured over the top tied laces or at the bottom. The design is a classic, neutral with black, gray, and white and a stylish silver Swoosh on the side. Overall, this is a good shoe for working out or for wearing all day.... Show more

Great for stability in the gym.
Purchased a couple of weeks ago at a great sale price. Used the advice of the fit checker and they fit perfectly. Really comfortable and definitely give me a more stable base for lifting in the gym. Arrived really quickly too and great email updates so I could keep track.... Show more

Great shoe for Trendelenburg gait
I broke my back 10 years ago, pars fracture on L5, and herniated disc on L5. I got stem cell injection for my L5 disc, and it took a year, but my L5 disc grew completely back, thick and juicy disc! Over the years, I developed Trendelenburg gait from the nerve damage in my hip from when I broke my back. So I can’t wear super soft bouncy shoes, because my hip with bounce out of place and then a chiropractor has to pop my hip back in place. It’s like a whole thing. Anyways, I used to have a pair of Nike metcon 5, and the shoe’s sole was so stiff. It made my feet ache. These new Nike metcon’s have a soft insole, yet it’s not bouncy. It runs small, I recommend a half size up. And reason I bought these shoes, is the locked laces strap! Even though I just do the weight ... Even though I just do the weight machines in these shoes before my swim at the gym, I highly recommend them! My only wish is I want Nike make a pair in a jade/deep turquoise color all over.... Great workout shoe
This shoe has changed my workouts. Since the shoe is very structured and not easily bendable it keeps my foot flat which I like. They are true to size and are very comfortable. I like the sleek black and white design as well. They will match any outfit. The shoe is made really well and seem like it will last. I also like the velcro tab that holds the shoelace in place so my laces don’t come untied while working out. The only thing I would change about these shoes it the thin shoe laces, I wish they were a little thicker.... Show more

My Forever Shoe
Hands down, the best money I've spent on gym gear. From the quirky and fresh colour combo, to the breakneck time in which I grew comfortable in the shoes, to the insane amount of support you get in it -- there's everything to love about Nike's MetCon 7 model. It is truly designed so that you can appreciate the aesthetics without compromising on support or performance. Highly recommend getting a pair of MC7's!... Show more

Nice looking shoes
The Nike Metcon 7 are good looking shoes and if you need shoes for lifting/CrossFit/HIIT or anything where stability is super important then you’ve found your shoe. Just make sure to go up either half a size to a size.Pros--they feel really stable (it could be a con for some because they are rigid)-I love the look and style-good support when lifting weights and doing any sort of training-great for high impact and flat base for weightsCons-the laces feel and look cheap and of low quality plus they get undone easily-I feel there isn’t enough padding-runs smallI can’t comment on durability yet but besides the laces, they seem well made. They are Nike’s after all!... Show more

Nice Shoes with some pros and cons
The Metcon shoes felt a little smaller than normal, but overall comfortable. I did like the higher arch support as I have had problems with plantar fasciitis before. Another item I liked was the harder support by the big toe...often a spot where you want that extra protection. The design was ok. I have the black shoes which is a color I don't normally buy. The Nike swoosh is a little unassuming and blends more into the shoe compared to other shoes.Like I said, the shoe was comfortable but not sure I would want to wear them all day. One thing I did not like was the heel of the shoe. The bottoms seem very flat and almost feel like you are tap dancing.Overall I would say the shoes are ok. Solid for standing
The Metcon 7 is a good looking and functional shoe. It is lightweight but feels very sturdy. I love how secure the grip feels on the floor and how secure my feet feel in them. They felt a little snug at first, but after wearing them once with thin socks, I was able to wear my normal socks with a perfect fit. So I would say they are true to size. There was no real break in period. They conform perfectly to my feet. I stand a lot for work and felt comfortable and stable standing in them. However, I prefer more cushioned shoes for walking/running and all-day wear. The materials of the shoe are nice, but there are a few flaws. The laces come untied easily. There are velcro tabs to keep them in place, but they come untied regardless. I think the tabs need to placed higher on the tongue of the shoe and they need to secure the laces better (or maybe the laces should be a different material). This complaint is very minor, but I have the black/white/smoke grey and the translucent part distorts the Nike swoosh and has areas that look irregularly colored underneath.Overall, these shoes look great, fit comfortably, and feel secure and stable....
