I received this product to try but my thoughts and opinions are my own. When I first opened the box for these Nike Motivas I thought they looked like a “moon shoe”. They are very futuristic looking. Even when I stepped onto a rocky gravel trail the shoes maintained optimal comfort. On the weekend I decided to wear them to work so see if it made me feel like I was getting a mini workout in. I’d say that mostly the shoes felt distracting. Because your feel are moving more you are thinking about every step you take. For a walking/running shoe only these are amazing! I definitely have been using them regularly on my daily walks and feel like my strides have been more consistent while wearing these shoes. Maybe it’s in my head but my calves feel like they’re getting more of a workout too.

I haven't attempted to wash them yet, so I am unsure of how they will hold up over time in the wash.

It definitely took some getting used to, but the feeling is reduced when I start moving. I think the rocker design of the sole feels most comfortable when I’m in constant motion. Due to the shape of the sole, it feels like I am being propelled forward with each step. Additionally, the insole feels thickest at the arch, then dips at the heel and ball, and angles up again in the toes and back of the heel. However, as someone with flat feet, the high arch support in the shoes was too much for me. It feels like my feet are not able to make complete contact with the insoles. I would recommend this style for people with high arches for use dedicated to walking and/or jogging. I would not choose these for day to day life running errands where I am more likely to be standing still for periods of time.

Very comfortable, I work on my feet for 8 or more hours a day 5 days a week, sometimes 6 on hard concrete tile floors. These floors are unforgiving and makes everything hurt from your feet, back, lower back, knees, and legs. I have spent so much money on tennis shoes over the years from Skeachers, Hoka, Nike, Addias, Ecco, New Balance, and many more. I usually have 2 or more pairs of sneakers with me in my car to change out of the morning pair during my lunch. These are the only pair that I didn't have to "break in", or put an insert inside of them. They were instantly comfortable, and first day I forgot that I had them on, because I normally change my shoes during my lunch break. The only reason why I gave them 4 stars is because of color options and the lack of ... Ordered the Volt in an 8 from Nordstrom. The shoe I received is the neon yellow color shown on Nike’s site and not the neon green with black shoelace holes shown on the Nordstrom site.Sizing is off. I’m a true 8, my foot measures an 8 on the shoe ruler, & all of my Nike’s are 8s. THIS shoe? My big toe hits the edge but more importantly, the arch of the shoe sits behind the arch of my foot making this shoe uncomfortable and the wrong size.Since Nike launched they’ve rarely made a WALKING shoe; design & feature wise they hit it out of the park with this shoe. The rocker sole is fantastic. The insole is soft & squishy & the color ways are fun. There are so many reasons why I was excited to try out the shoes, but mostly because, as I have gotten older and almost 40 years old, running for the last 20 years has really taking a toll on my lower back. So seeing the shape of the running shoe made me so excited to get on and try it out.I have to say that the women’s Motiva running shoe is probably in my top three runners of all time. Even though I no longer run, I walk study and usually on an incline, so they can be still hard on my lower lumbar spine. Not only is it important for people to know about great shoes but also it’s important for yourself to have confidence and that always boost my confidence when somebody wants to wear the shoes and I wearing.I would hands-down buy a shoe and every single color if possible. They are comfortable, light in weight, as well as amazing for your lower back for those with lower back problems. Although I felt a bit unstable at the beginning with the curvy sole because I’m not used to, but once I started walking more in them I got used to the curves very quickly and it even made it easier to take steps while rocking the foot naturally with the movement. The fit is true to size for my regular-width feet. The shoe laces stay tied from the time I put the shoes on to the time I take them off.One thing I would like is to add a pull tab for the heel so I can put them on easier. The only tab is on the tongue, which it’s helpful but it would be nice to also have it on the heel. Speaking of the tongue, it is actually attached to the inner bottom of the shoe, so it stays in place. This feature is very nice and I don’t recall other shoes having that.These shoes are better, softer than anything else I have ever owned.

I’m a 7.5 on the shoe ruler and wear 8s - which are perfect. All of my Nike’s are 8s and the fit is perfect, from the big toe test to the arch placement.THESE I ordered in an 8. My big toe is up against the front & the arch of the shoe sits behind my foot’s arch.Someone else mentioned these run a half size small and I suspect they’re right.I ordered the VOLT, which is a neon yellow (not green as shown). I like the color but wanted green. I would perhaps make the curve a little less pronounced because I felt like when I bent over to pick something up I was just going to keep going and topple over, but I would probably get used to that in time. If you are concerned with the appearance of the foam, be warned that it does take on wrinkles fairly quickly after wearing, but it doesn’t seem to affect the functionality of the shoe at all.One other improvement I would like to see would be the addition of a heel strap to aid in putting the shoe on. I do also like that the laces have reflective stripes built in. Initially I didn’t like how rough the laces felt, but I think the added security of the reflection in the laces, which is very useful for road walking/running, is worth it. Also, the holes the laces go through are thin slits, so the laces won’t be coming undone any time soon. Overall, I think this is a very well designed shoe that, once broken in, will be comfortable for a long time.

I have been wanting to start running/jogging for a little while now but I've always struggled with my knees hurting when I've attempted to run or jog. After going on my longer walks I haven't had any knee pain and my feet don't feel like I've gone on a long walk. Due to not being able to properly run in these I decided to wear them during a very busy, errand running day. They held up really well and I didn't get that achy feeling in my feet/ankles after a busy day.I'm only giving these shoes a 4 star rating due to the fact that I haven't used them for running. I hope to take them out for a run one of these days! I feel more confident to try with these shoes.
