I have been so excited to try these shoes, as I have seen many people wear them at races, and they exceeded my expectations! I have always loved Nikes for lifting and for casual wear, but I haven’t really used them for running until now. It is amazing that these shoes can be so light, but also provide so much support and comfort. Received the Zoom Fly 5 in the mail and upon trying them on, they immediately fit like a glove. They are so so comfortable and light, to the point I almost forgot I was wearing running shoes. I have flat feet so sometimes it’s difficult to find shoes with the proper arch support, and I was pleasantly surprised how the arch is supportive but not too high. Excellent ankle support as well! Upon running and walking in them, they start out rather stiff, to the point of rubbing my back ankle some, but they quickly break in and become more comfortable upon use. Also, I am not a runner but these running shoes convinced me that I should still buy running shoes because walking in them could be comfortable.The cons: I normally wear size 7 and these shoes were 7.5 but still felt tight even after breaking them in. I haven't had a chance to wear them running outdoors yet thanks to a cold and snowy weather pattern, but I anticipate them being perfect for the job. The only downside I found with the shoes was that the grip around my upper heel/ankle began to rub against my skin. I do think that thicker socks (I prefer to wear thin, breathable socks) would solve this problem however. Overall, this is a great shoe that I would recommend to anyone looking for comfort and support.
Trying to find a shoe that gives you an extra boost? Then this is the shoe for you. When I put them on for the first time, I was amazed with just how bouncy I felt. The foam inside the shoes seriously feels like they added a ton of springs to the bottom (without actually feeling likes there's metal springs inside the shoe. No worries there). I will note that it felt like it was weighted to the outside of my foot so if you have an issue with your ankle rolling in, I don't think that this would be the shoe for you.The quality of the shoe seems a little poor, as the foam already is showing signs of wear only having had worn them a handful of times. The colors are bright, vivid, and eye-catching.Overall this has been a great shoe and I am happy with owning them.
