Easy on the legs, the Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit gives you a bouncy and supported ride to keep you on the run. This marshmallow-soft stability running shoe will help you increase your mileage and get after those long runs. The lightweight and responsive ZoomX foam gives you more bounce with each step and the bottom is curved like a rocker to support the entire gait cycle. It offers flexibility when your foot rises off the ground, a smooth ride when your foot is moving forward and cushioning at ground contact to help curb overpronation and give you an energetic feel. The step-in feel of the ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit is luxuriously soft and uses an evolved Flyknit upper that hugs the foot to keep you secure and supported. Incredibly breathable, the sock-like fit has strategically placed zones to help keep your feet cool where they heat up. For even better stability, a panel is embedded in the Flyknit to cradle the heel as you land. Nike used runner-informed data to design a waffle outsole for smooth traction where you need it and durability to hold up to high mileage. In our Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit review, testers loved how light, bouncy, flexible and free the running shoe felt. Lace up and feel the potential of the Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit whether yoursquore tackling a 20-miler or growing into a more avid runner.

#1 Running Shoe

So when you’re just standing or walking, this feels awkward/weird, but good for running as it provides support. As for the appeal/design, I had gotten the black/white ones, but wish I had gotten one of the colored ones instead as the black/white ones look more generic compared to the other colored ones which provide more of a wow factor/eye appeal and makes it stand out from other running shoes. If you’re looking for shoes to just do some errands in, then these may not be your best option; however, if you frequently run, I’d highly recommend investing in these shoes!... Show more

There is a noticeable “sweet spot” where the shoe seems to be providing the most rebound. Outside for this zone, the softness is still there, but the rebound seems significantly reduced.Overall, this is a unique shoe in the best possible way. I would not want it as my only shoe, but when combined with other shoes like the Pegasus and Vaporfly, I think it makes a really nice addition to a running shoe inventory.... Show more

A big selling point of the shoe is the ZoomX foam and the crazy amount of stack making it so comfortable. Running in a heel-strike form is where this shoe shines. Your initial impact is basically absorbed and as you rock forward there is a light spring in your step. I wouldn't call it 'bouncy" like others have, but I am fairly light so compressing the foam is harder for me. However, if you are a fore/midfoot striker (like me) much of that benefit from the extra stack height is negated. An additional side effect of the stack is some instability and some feeling of being too tall. The first few runs/walks it does feel almost like you are on stilts and need to relearn to walk/run which can be a bit awkward. Even after getting used to it, you notice you can't quite turn as fast or bank in these shoes without some side slippage. As a result of this instability, Nike has to have an overbuilt upper that doesn't breath quite as well as some of their other shoes and a massive base which you stand on.This is seen clearly is how much the midsole extends back as can be seen in the product photos. If you are wearing these as an everyday shoe for pain or purely for comfort that extension feels amazing, but it does make it difficult to drive in. If you pivot with your foot between pedals, this surface has zero outsole as the midsole bubbles out and causes excessive wear on your driving shoe. Of course Nike doesn't expect these to be used as a lifestyle shoe, so it's not their fault, but if you are the type of person who enjoys the comfort provided by running shoes for everyday use, be aware that how much you drive might affect the lifespan of the shoes. For me, I will probably be returning them for that reason. I don't run enough to justify such a high cost on the shoe, and wearing down the driving shoe as a lifestyle pair doesn't sit right with me. However, if you are a heel-strike runner putting in long miles, like others have said this is probably an endgame option for you.... Show more

Amazing shoes, but...
6 June 2021
I am a 5K-every-other-day runner who had two pairs of Nike Epic React before purchasing the ZoomX Invincible Run shoes. The cushioning is unlike any shoe I have ever had. I thought they might slow me down, which I was going to be OK with since they felt so good otherwise, but they have actually cut about 15 seconds off my miles. So not only do they feel amazing but they truly have responsive performance. This is my third pair of foam shoes, and don't believe the reviews that say foam wears down quickly. It seems like it would, but it doesn't. The ZoomX has also reduced any calluses or related occasional irritation on the soles of my feet from running. Also as a bonus the foam base is so substantial that it keeps your feet dry if running in rain puddles. I have had them for two months now and my hamstrings are constantly sore. I can only guess that the cushioning helps the lower leg but makes the upper leg compensate a little more. They aren't getting better and it is getting to the point that I am wondering if I should change shoes because I have never had this problem until running in the ZoomX superfoam. Maybe there is a good reason the Nike Pegasus platform has been so enduring.... Show more

I've been eyeing this shoe for about a year, especially the volt colorway and when I went to the employee store and saw them sitting, it was a no brainer. Previously I have been running with the Nike Epic React Flyknit 2 for about a year and have finally beat them up quite a bit.The first few runs I hated how plushy it was, definitely something to get used to at first. However, after maybe 20 miles running with the shoes I finally began to love them. Also the laces are too short, which makes me not being able to tie them fully. Luckily my size 9 fits just right and holds me in place with a little toe room in the front while still maintaining me stable on the heel.Overall, this is an amazing shoe. I would highly recommend it for anyone that would want to progress into NIke's high tier running shoes if you're coming from the middle tier.... Show more

Great for slow, long runs.
13 April 2021
The Nike Zoomx Invisible Run shoe is a good maximalist running shoe at a fairly light weight. I received the size 11 and found the size to be a good fit (I typically wear size 11 running shoes). I was happy with the simple black exterior and overall design. I do usually run in normal to lighter weight shoes, so, despite being lighter weight for a maximalist shoe, these did feel a little heavy to me. In addition, they felt bulky at first; the heel is high and I definitely didn’t get that “feel of the ground” feeling. Despite these, I was pleasantly surprised at the level return. I immediately took it out for a run to test it at different speeds over several miles. As I ran, I could feel the extra spring from the foam. I no longer felt like I was in a bigger, bulkier, heavier shoe than normal. I was very pleased that the return held up into some quicker paces. However, the return was quickly offset by the weight once I got into fast runs and sprint paces. For me, if my pace got below 7:00 min/mi, I could tell I was in a heavy shoe. However, on a separate long, slow run at 8:00 min/mi pace, this shoe was fantastic.I did have to adjust my running form to the shoe rather than the reverse. This shoe has a larger offset and much of that is between the mid-foot and toes. It took some time for my feet and (especially) my ankles to adjust; I would get this “jolting” sensation as it kicked my ankle forward during the transition from midfoot to toe. However, once I adjusted, this shoe worked comfortably.Overall, I am pleased with the shoe and find them comfortable for long runs. If you have ankle or stability issues this shoe might not be the best for you. I would recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a good, comfortable recovery shoe or a shoe for those long, easy run days.... Show more

Music to my feet

After thinking I could use the same sneaker for all outdoor activities, I must say I am now mistaken. I am really impressed with these shoes. The first two-three times of wearing the shoe were slightly uncomfortable, but I do find that with any new shoe. Once they broke in, I was good to go and kept telling my wife how comfortable these sneakers truly were. From long walks (3+ miles) to outdoor jogs/runs, these shoes give the perfect balance and support, especially to my heels. The foam is high enough to help provide enough bounce, which takes pressure off of my feet, helping me to run longer and recover quicker. I don't feel that my feet lean to the sides of the shoe and are equally supported there as well, even on pavement. The black/white color scheme is great ... MoreAfter thinking I could use the same sneaker for all outdoor activities, I must say I am now mistaken. The only drawback for me is the white foam on the bottom of the sneaker - it gets dirty almost instantly and is very difficult to clean. But these are running shoes, not fashion sneakers, so I don't mind it too much.Overall, this a great sneaker for any active person to own. With enough provided support and quality comfort, these should help amplify my cardiac performance.... Show more

The most cushioned running shoe you can buy
20 May 2022
I was looking for the most cushioned shoe you can get. This is it. You can feel the squish right away. That comes with stability tradeoffs but if you don't want a high stack shoe with squish, you have plenty of other choices. So kuddos to Nike for taking cushion to the max.Given that this is the most max cushioned shoe available, my only gripe is it doesn't take it far enough. Why not just go extreme in setting the bar? When you run in these, as opposed to walking, I wouldn't say you feel like running on clouds or marshmallows--you still have a jolt of a foot strike and "bounce" (which I find overrated as I don't see the point of bounce when I initially strike as opposed to energy release as I push off my foot to spring me forward). So I guess I'm just complaining that they are a functional running shoe that offers "responsiveness". They are as close as you can find to "moon shoes" but not really there.I'd ask Nike to just take it further. It will be too much for many, but why not offer something just off the charts in terms of softness tailored for heel strike walking. Like if I wanted to reduce the impact on my knees and hips and even neck and head from walking or running -- akin to running on a springy treadmill or rubberized track -- give me an option to prevent that wear and tear. This is the best on the market but still I think the technology is there to make it even softer, squishier, more "deflation" at the strike. Like a spring that collapses on strike and releases when you push off I suppose.Bottom line: these are great cushion but not insane.(these fit like all Nike running shoes--run 1 size larger than Brannock)... Unique Cushioned Training Shoe

Over the past several years, I have been running in Asics Nimbus 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20. I then switched to Brooks Ghost 11, 12, 13 (waiting for delivery of Ghost 14's). I decided to try the Nike Invincible after reading MANY reviews. (I had tried Hoka Mach, but that shoe irritated the outside of my ankle.) It would look better and less goofy if the collar was all one pocket of padding.I don't like the price of these, but it's hard to call them overpriced considering they're the best shoes I've ever worn, and they're priced the same as the much inferior Ultraboost.
