I have waited some time to try these binoculars out under clear atmospheric conditions and I must dmit that I am impressed. Not so much with the quality of the images, per se, as the value for money these binoculars represent at their price-point.I shared them with a visitor from Canada yesterday while bird-spotting at a local eco-hot-spot, and she would also agree. Their performance at distance comes with a caveat, that they call for a tripod for steadiness in use. The angle-bracket supplied works quite well in this regard and I have added a quick-release plate compatible with all of my other gear, so I am able to whip the camera off the tripod if need be and substitute, the binoculars within seconds.

Very good for to the horizon viewing and excellent for all but closeup bird watching and sport. Definitely need a tripod for watching sports for some time.

Quality product. Good lenses for for ling distance. Not good for night watch. A little heavier than I expected.
The image is clear, sharp and bright. The magnification is good. Mounted on a tripod, I can see distinctly and count the number of .22 holes on a black target at 50m. Nikon definitely has maintained their good reputation for quality products.
Good centre sharpness and enjoyable viewing at 16x, much more interesting and enjoyable than the 9x binos I already had. There is chromatic aberration (purple fringing around some very bright edges or dark edges against bright backgrounds) but it's bearable because the optics are sharp, so the purple lines are hairline thin. Brightness is similar to ambient viewing without binoculars. The eyepiece frame that moves in and out is plasticky and a bit wobbly, and feels cheap. I like the twist in-out eyepiece hoods.
Excellent. with powerful and clear vision, easy to focus. well weighted for its size.
Bought these after trying other more expensive Nikon binoculars. Have found these to be very good all rounders at a keen price. Would recommend.
I had an older unbranded binoculars of same magnification.16x 50. These ones are incredible in their clarity. Everyone comments on how good they are.
Excellent all round product. Unbelievably light for the amount of magnification. Bak 4 prisms keeps the images nice and clear. Using a monopod for me is minimum requirement for steady viewing. Very pleased with purchase.
