I recently upgraded from my venerable D80 to the brand new D7500. I had purchased the body-only and continued to use my original 18-135 lens. I was quite impressed with the new combo. Weeks later I decided to pass my D80 to a niece who has interest in DSLR photography. She needed a lens of course so I gave here the 18-135 and contacted B&H to see if I could still get the D7500+lens kit at the discounted price. NO TROUBLE AT ALL! I paid the diff and they sent the new lens. B&H is the best! I expected the new 18-140 lens essentially to be the same as the old one but I was nicely surprised. The speed of auto-focus is significantly faster than the older lens (both compared on the D7500.) And the VR seems to be improved too. Combined with the extended ISO range of the ... Combined with the extended ISO range of the D7500 which enables fast shutter speeds even under low light conditions, I can capture quality images quickly when needed, and also have the option to tinker with the more advanced settings when I prefer. I'm not a pro but there are times when I have to be the photographer at certain public events and my new setup makes it much easier to capture crisp pictures when zoomed-in and the subjects are moving. I'm sure the pro's out there will find something they don't like as always, but this product represents the quality and durability I've come to expect from Nikon. And as a bonus I'm a hero to my niece!

There are no grading scores with lenses here at CEX, so with their 2yr warranty it was worth taking a quality risk knowing I could get my money back if not happy. The price was right too. The lens came well packed out and protected with cardboard strips, and here lies the small problem that lost me the will to give 5*. On unpacking, the lens came out covered in cardboard dust! This meant that I had to thoroughly clean all the dust off the lens before I could try it, (this is the second lens I have bought online from them, that has required cardboard dust removal before trial use)After all the above I have to admit that this lens is in V.G to excellent condition with minimal use marks. In fact it looks virtually unused after cleaning the lenses themselves, and does ... Still looking. Maybe a good lens for crowded events (summer musical festivals). We'll see, not too sure it has the pin-sharp quality of other Nikon lens but it is small and lightweight. REad Ken Rockwell and make up your own mind. I'm still thinking. And the service from Wex is astounding, ordered at lunchtime and delivered the next day - how cool is that ?

I am a Nikon enthusiast. I have been using Nikon cameras and lenses for over 30 years.I have been using D80 for many years. I was waiting for Nikon to come out with flip screen on the 7 series for a long time. I decided to buy the camera for this feature plus 4K video and Wifi. Sad to say that I am less than impressed with this camera. In a nutshell, I could have spent my money better on a different product/camera.It takes great stills but when it comes to take videos, the auto focus us slow to respond versus still photography, it's cumbersome to change AF settings and Wifi is basically useless unless you use Snapbridge app.You have to juggle with multiple dials to change AF settings in video mode. Even then, AF is slow to respond in close shots. It works fine for long shots though. You cannot connect D7500 directly to your computer/laptop using Wifi. You need to first connect using Snapbridge. This makes Wifi function basically useless. There are some good features om this camera but they are useless foe me, therefore, I wouldn't evaluate them.
I'm a photojournalist and wanted a compact, light, do-it-all lens to twist onto the front of my D3300 and carry with me when I'm riding my motorcycle. The 18-140 is much smaller and lighter than my 18-200 and I honestly don't miss that extra 60mm on the long end. It's sharp even wide open and the VR feature works well. Since the D3300 has great high-ISO performance I can get by with the lens' available apertures. I've only had it a month but I've already published several dozen images made with the 18-140. Downsides: It's a bit slower with autofocus than my pro glass and it's definitely not something you want to bang around, especially when the barrel is extended. Also if you need extremely high resolution, say for a wedding, opt for the f2.8 Nikkors instead. The ... The outfit can handle just about anything I will encounter during motorcycle weather, which is to say no precipitation, decent light and anything that isn't too far away. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
I bought this nikon lens from CEX expecting it to be just another lens in my collection .but I have found this one is brilliant as an all round lens and I don't have to carry other lenses with me . The condition of it is really good you would think it was a new one. I take landscapes and close up photos when out and about . This year I'm hoping to go to Bempton cliffs to take wild sea birds ,which I think will be brilliant. But I'm really pleased with the results so far and I have all the summer to go yet.I would recommend anyone wanting a lens from CEX as I thought that what i received was great and will shop there again.
I was looking for a little more flexibility with my camera on an upcoming trip. I looked at new an used lenses and talked with a couple of photographers I know. I looked at what was available and then started shopping for three lenses. After shopping I was down to three lenses on eBay. The lens I bought was number one on my list and I made a bid based on the price in similar units. The bid was accepted and I received the lens five days later. I got what I was looking for and the quality of the lens is very good and the entire process went very well.
I purchased this lens to replace the Nikon 18-105 lens I had on my Nikon D7100. I like this lens much better than the 18-105. The lens construction seems good, and it has a metal lens mount (much better than the cheap plastic mount on the 18-105). The lens has a nice feel to it, it's not too heavy, the zoom ring is slightly firm but smooth, and the Vibration Reduction works well. The autofocus speed is good. This lens produces nice sharp images on my D7100. Its zoom range is great as an all day walk around lens (this lens stays on my camera 95% of the time, rarely when I need a longer focal length will I put on my 55-300 lens). Initially I was hesitant to purchase this lens because of so many bad reviews on other sites, but now that I own it, I'm glad I purchased ... Initially I was hesitant to purchase this lens because of so many bad reviews on other sites, but now that I own it, I'm glad I purchased it. Sure, it's not a "fast" lens in terms of f stop, but consider adding maybe a 35mm or 50mm prime lens for low light shooting and your good to go. In my opinion, if your looking for one lens you can put on your camera and walk around and shoot with all day long, this is it! Personally, I'm glad I spent the money to upgrade to this lens and retire my old 18-105...the 18-140 is better in my opinion (yeah, I'm sure others will disagree on that!). Overall, I'm happy with my 18-140 lens and enjoying my photography.
I have had this lens for over two years. It came as a kit lens for my Nikon D-7200. I could have purchased the camera with a Nikon 18-55mm lens, but being ignorant, the extra 'reach' was all that matter. Well the extra reach is nice but it comes at the expense of soft corners. I've tried different f-stops, but the corners remain soft. At first this didn't bother me, all I stared at was the middle of the image. Eventually I began to look at the image as a whole. This is were the soft corner began to disappoint. If you are looking for a 'so so' DX wide to telephoto lens maybe this will work for you. Generally as a kit lens you can purchase for a couple to a few hundred dollars. But you will definitly be compomising. Just know what you are receiving. For snapshots (and ... This is a solid walk-around / vacation lens. It works wonderfully on my Z50 with the FTZ Adapter. It is solid, and has ZERO lens creep, which is important for a lens you're trotting around with all day long, or any lens for that matter. The pictures are super sharp. It does perform better in good light, rather than in low light, but that's to be expected for any variable aperture lens like this one.The only complaint I have is that it didn't come with a lens hood, and for $499, they should include a $12 piece of plastic to make it complete. That being said, I cannot complain. I am hoping it goes on sale soon, so I can get a credit...because I am not a fan of paying retail for anything. But am I happy? Yes, I am...
