Nikon BAA931YA Prostaff P3 10x30 Binoculars
Powerful magnification and wide lenses combine to make the Nikon PROSTAFF P3 10x42 Binoculars a great choice for birding, backpacking, sporting events, and much more. The 10x magnification shows you distant details, while the generous 42mm lenses admit ample light for a bright image, even at dusk and dawn. The wide field of view reveals a large stretch of the horizon, so you can take in the big picture or quickly find the object you need to see. The PROSTAFF P3s are waterproof, fogproof, and drop-resistant, so you can carry them confidently on your outdoor adventures. Outstanding Clarity Nikon's multilayer lens coatings cut glare and reflection for sharper, clearer views. Vibrant Colors A highly reflective silver-alloy coating is applied on the mirror surfaces of the prism so more of the visible spectrum reaches your eyes. Waterproof Down to 3.3' Although they're not intended for underwater use, the PROSTAFF P3 binoculars can safely be used around splashing water or in inclement weather. Eco-Friendly Glass The glass used in PROSTAFF P3 binoculars is lead-free and arsenic-free. Better for you. Better for the environment. Lenses That Won't Fog The PROSTAFF P3 is filled with bone-dry nitrogen gas, so even going from a warm car to the cold winter air won't fog the lenses. Turn-and-Slide Eyecups Retract them for use with eyeglasses. Extend them to your ideal position for comfortable naked-eye viewing. Long Eye Relief 15.7mm of eye relief ensures everyone can find a clear, comfortable viewing position, with or without eyeglasses. Tough-Skinned The green rubber-armored body provides non-slip grip and protection from the occasional drop or bump. Hard-Bodied The lightweight body of the PROSTAFF P3 binoculars features strong fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate resin.

I bought these to replace a pair of Nikon Prostaff 7s binoculars. I think these are a newer range and also the model below, but there's hardly any difference outwardly. They're a little cheaper too. They're nice and compact/lightweight and the optics are really sharp & light for the price. The front object lens caps are still a bit of a waste of time as they don't attach to the strap very well so will inevitably get lost.I'll be interested to see how durable they are as the twisting eye cups (for spectacle wearers) on the old 7s gathered dust and eventually stopped working. They got a lot of use though and still work fine if the eyecups are set in one position, which isn't good if sharing with non spectacle wearing users. I'm expecting the same on the P3's but I'll ... MoreI bought these to replace a pair of Nikon Prostaff 7s binoculars. this is my first pair of "serious" binoculars and I'm glad I've waited so long. the evolution in optics from what was made 10 or 20 years ago is astounding. In 10x30 these are quite light, offer a wide and luminous sight, and great handling with the sturdy silicone all around. well worth the price. I'm not sure what the P7 line can offer beyond this, honestly.
