Advertised for any size dog so I got it for my large pup. He chewed right through the thin stiff plastic. Would definitely not recommend this toy. Shards of broken plastic came off. Luckily we were monitoring and took it away in time. Not a safe toy. Not fun for him either.

Brought this for my two but neither took to it. They had a few sniffs and prodded it but showed no interest initially despite the treats in it. Tried to engage them with it over a few more days with various treats but both dogs did not like the movement or find it engaging.

Our Jack Russel girl loves chewing plastic toys so use this toy under supervision. She quickly learnt that tipping it over with her nose and paw is key to receiving a treat. She loves it so much that she prefers to eat her dry food out of it rather than her bowl. The dry kibble we use is the perfect size for this. As I said we don't leave it in reach for her to chew once empty as it would probably be in pieces by now

Our 4 month old Border Terrier has had a bit of his dinner in this every evening for the last 2-3 weeks. He definitely loves it, and gets really excited and vocal. He's also clearly learning, as he's getting a lot more effective at getting the food out. It helps slow down his eating and does give him some stimulation/helps wear him out. You do need to show your dog how to use this though otherwise the default approach seems to be chewing. We also notice that if we don't take it off him when he's got all the food out, he reverts back to chewing it. It's robust to bashing and flipping, but not to chewing - plenty of teeth marks in ours and I think if we left him with it, it would be destroyed pretty quickly. It's robust to bashing and flipping, but not to chewing - plenty of teeth marks in ours and I think if we left him with it, it would be destroyed pretty quickly. So good for stimulation and gives 10-15 minutes where your pup entertains himself, but not something you can leave with your dog whilst you focus on something else. Also not that easy to clean and dry as you can't get inside. If it's still a little damp when you come to use it, it'll make getting the food/treats out much more difficult.
Not designed to be indestructible! Maybe temperament based, my dog loves his snuffle mat without destroying it and loves this too. But yeah, it isn't a Kong and as long as you realise that and know your dog's temperament it could work like it does for us. It adds an extra option to make his dinner interesting, he has to be very hungry to eat without playing these days! I add regular biscuits and the odd treat and he has a great time flipping it around the floor, allowing me to recover before out next game of tug of war.
Got this to entertain my small chihuahua x jack russel and well as like the other comments and pictures, it got chewed and became sharp and dangerous. Defo not safe for my dog and was expecting more as the price wasn't cheap. Il be returning it to pet shop.
5 mins into having recieved this our 6 month old cockapoo destroyed it. All the rubber was stripped off and the clear plastic on the inside chewed - he's swallowed a fair bit of the plastic along with the treats that it dispensed rather too easily. Wished I'd read online first. Waste of a tenner and a probable vet bill to boot. Seriously. Save your money. Chuck some ķibble in a kitchen roll holder. Safer, less expensive and any swallowed parts come out without the assistance of vet!
Our Labrador has other Nina Ottosson games which he enjoys and they seem a more substantial construction. The see through window was bitten through within 10 minutes although 🐾 🐾 had managed to get treats out the dispenser. We have obviously taken the Maze away so both dog and owner are disappointed. Even if you are working with your dog this may not be the Maze for you.
Dropped one star as she has chewed the purple edge and round the holes. Other than that, she will chose this toy over two other feed toys. She is 4 and uses the nose flip to get the food out. She will trap it in a confined area to increase the flip opportunities but can push it under furniture. Now the clever bit, she will bring it to be filled and play near you so you can rescue it. Half her daily biscuit meal is served with this.
Our Bichon wouldn't take it under his nose. But our 3yr old terrier had great fun finding his food. He loves 'snifaris' anyway. It is sturdy, and a good hard material, as he likes to bite his toys with his long sharp teeth. The only fault with the product is the clear plastic divider. It is not sturdy enough for our dog who, likes to chew and he has damaged it there. We only allow him it when supervised and take it away when he begins to obsess too much. It helps to pass a while on a wet, winter day.
