I did lots of research into buying a portable blender. I start work at 4am so blending at 3.30am in the morning would wake up the house. The Ninja blender had the best write up for longer charge life which is why I went for it as I wanted something that I only really needed to charge at weekends. It said I should be able to get 10 charges out of it.This morning was my 3rd morning of using it and each time I pushed the purple button it changed to a red, meaning it already needed charging.I did do 2 pulses on the first and second day, so really this was only my 5th blend and it didn’t work, which also wasted an entire smoothie and left me hungry for my shift!I have also noticed that it is a little sensitive when using frozen ingredients.I put in 200ml of ... MoreI did lots of research into buying a portable blender. To start off the Ninja Blender design is simply beautiful, and all the various colors are beautiful. It is very portable and not bulky for storage purposes. Every part of the blender functions as expected. I liked that the lid opens and closes softly and gives you the option to bend it backwards until you hear a click, which secures it in place, so that when drinking the lid does not hit your forehead. At 18oz the size is perfect for single blends. It blends beautifully, with no chunks and it is not loud. I get about 10 blends before a full recharge. Removing and attaching the blending cup does not require a lot of efforts, compared with other blenders. The instructions are very easy to follow, and I actually left the instruction label on the blender base for quick reference. To all who might be thinking about purchasing this blender, don' hesitate. Simply go for it. It is a great buy.

I was excited to try this portable blender because I do have a individual serving and regular blender, but I’ve never tried one that is portable and can be charged. First off, the blender and the vessels are compact and easy to carry. As you can see from my picture, The battery operated blade portion is quite small and comes with a cap for protection. It comes with two drinking vessels with screw on tops, with lids that open up for a spout opening. It was easy enough to use. I just charged once and it was ready to go. I would follow the instructions on the side as far as how much to fill, especially since the first time I used it the blades did get caught. It just required some shaking and then it worked fine. I recommend for a smooth, creamy smoothie to go through two 30 second rounds of blending. Cleaning was easy. And in order to bring around the drinking vessel on its own, it does provide one bottom cap. I wish that it came with two and ultimately I do wish that you didn’t have to bring as many pieces with you if you truly were using the portable feature. However, I do overall like the compact features and will continue to use it when I’m on the go but don’t necessarily want to blend my smoothie until I get to my destination. Good price for the product!

I have to say, that this is the first ninja product that I’ve ever purchased that doesn’t work well at all. I like the size, the color blue is nice, but unfortunately that’s it. It does not hold a charge at all. The instructions tell you to charge it for a few hours before using it, which is exactly what I did. It actually loses almost a full charge while you’re trying to make a smoothie. It barely blends and loses its power unbelievably quickly. I was frustrated and aggravated over a blender. During the presentation, they probably used very small pieces of frozen fruit and a lot more liquid. If you go by any of the instructions on ninja’s website for their smoothie recipes, all of the ingredients are too much for this small blender. Although, I am not going to be discouraged from using ninja products, because I’m a huge fan of their coffee maker and they’re nonstick stainless steel cookware, which are superb! I may buy another ninja blender, but a bigger size, which I’ll probably purchase locally, so I don’t have to pay for shipping. Now I have to pay to return something that doesn’t work well at all. I’m really disappointed.
I have made smoothies since the advent of smoothies. I have multiple houses and through the years, I have purchased many Magic Bullets, Vitamixes, full sized Ninjas, Osters, and Kitchen Aids... I have a lot of experience at this.I have used this little gal for about 5 smoothies so far. I am appreciating it for what it is - the smallest footprint on the counter and easiest to clean of all the options I have tried. They send you a C cable that just needs the universal plug into the wall that you have already been using for any charging cord for many years now. I have dozens of those in my houses and have them built into my plugs and furniture at this point. I don't think it will be an issue for most people out there. It will not make a smoothie of heavy big leaves of Kale or chunks of lemon with rind like a Vitamix. I do have to add a little more liquid ratio than I usually would. And I do have to do a few shakes. I have had the orange light blades locked come on twice, but it was easy to dislodge the problem and blend again. I also like the 18 ounces because I could often over do it with like twice that amount sometimes, which does end up being too high in natural sugars - so 18 ounces is a good amount. It is PERFECT if protein shakes are your jam. And I have been doing great with about 6 ounces of Ocean Spray peach cranberry juice, a teaspoon of honey, 2 big chunks of fresh apple, fresh and frozen bananas, strawberries, pineapple, peaches and mango, and a few small bullet ice cubes. I haven't tried it yet, but I have full confidence it will do well with margaritas, daiquiris, bellinis, etc.Buy it understanding what to expect and what it's limitations are, and I think you will find the small size, cleaning ease, and convenience to be big wins. And the purple passion is as cute as it can be, so that's a plus too!
I purchased 2 of these on TSV in Jan 24, for more of the on the go type use, thinking it would be better than a shaker. Today is March 1, 2024. I think the price still could have been better and I wouldn't buy this at a higher price point at all. I think it is WRONG to charge shipping for each product when you piggy back in the same size box that would ship as 1, just saying. My husband and I put these to the test for 1 solid month EVERY day with our morning shakes (ice, protein shake mix, water with fresh banana) after the recommending fully charge. We got about 5 -7 uses between uses between charging depending on how smooth you needed to mix. It has a decent charge time. I will say like everything else it does take getting used to but you learn your way. I will say like everything else it does take getting used to but you learn your way. I LOVE the travel packing, Ninja did put a lot of thought into that. Covering the blade and able to have a smaller travel size, being able to have it ready to blend with charging is a major plus. My husband has packed it for lunch and it has worked well. It isn't a Power house so if you think it's going to match your counter top type don't buy. That being said I LOVE mixing ice drinks (flavored water or libation) in it to make a refreshing take on water. I love the size and it does fit in our car cup holder. I've only hand washed it but mainly only need to rinse. Overall I did give it a 4 star and I do enjoy using it. I hope they can manage to reduce the price point and drop shipping on the TSV then I'd buy again and give for gifts. Nearly forgot I have mixed iced coffee and the way the ice blends is so yummy!
PROS: I received this as a free gift for spending a certain amount on Ninja Products. I LOVE this little mini blender. It’s small and compact but packs a punch. It’s built with a powerful motor and blends fruits, veggies, ice with no issue. You can’t beat the price either (even if I didn’t get it for free, I think the price is reasonable for what you get).CONS: The reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I don’t want to drink straight from the blender after making my smoothies. I can’t remove the canister because the blade is attached to the blender and not a separate piece that attaches to the canister. The blender base is heavy and just inconvenient to try to drink from the blender directly. I would think the engineers would have come up with a way to make it so that you can remove the drinking tumbler from the blender base. I feel silly trying to drink with the whole blender attached. So I pour my smoothies into an actual tumbler and go. Hopefully they’ll figure a way to add a removable blade so that you can remove the canister from the blender and take that with you on the go.
I love the portability, color, no issues with charging, and being able to drink out of it. I make smoothies with fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, chia seeds, and powders that come out great. Smooth and quick to make!My main issue -- and why I did not give a full five stars -- is that my Ninja device is *very* finicky with the triangles lining up on the back, which causes annoyance before and after every use. I confirm that the device is purple (ready) before adding items. Then, almost every time after putting my top on, the tiniest amount of shift makes the device go white and I spend the next three to four minutes fidgeting with lining up the triangles. Sadly, my husband refuses to use the blender because it frustrates him, but I hold strong. I am not sure if my experience is uncommon or my device is faulty. I would not recommend if you are prone to frustration. :)

It took me a long time to decide whether to buy this based on hundreds of reviews. Wish I read a review like this one, that gets to the poimt. Price wise = worth every penny! Enjoy ;-)
I was quite excited when I saw this product advertised. Thought it would be ideal for making quick smoothies and energy drinks since myself and my wife have started to eat a lot healthier. So, I ordered one, and just like other excellent Ninja products, it was delivered the next day.I opened it and found it to be of a very well made and constructed bit of kit. Initially I was very impressed. So, I decided to make another smoothie, but this time with frozen fruit. I pressed the start button and......... Flashing orange light to say the blades are blocked. Considering it says in the product blurb that it will Blast through ice, this isn't a great result. Tries again, and the blades remain blocked. Shakes it, taps it. Tries again and it says blades are blocked. So, I empties it, clears the blades and then puts all ingredients back in. It works this time, but it still struggles. Four blasts later and it's good to go.This morning I go to do my first smoothie. Puts my ingredients in and straight away it says blades blocked. So, empties it AGAIN. Everything back in, switches it on and this time I get a solid red light to say that the battery needs charging??I honestly and sadly can't say that I'm impressed with the Blast at all and after initially thought about buying another I now won't and will use a simple food blender.
