This is the 4th Ninja product in my collection. This is the first time I’ve ever made my own soup. Started off with the basics to get the feel of it by making some smooth tomato soup from the supplied recipe book. I’m highly impressed, tastes just like a famous brand soup but not as sweet so for me that’s better and the consistency was identical. Offered some to a friend and she thought it was the famous name brand. I can see this is going to be a well used Ninja now we’re getting to the winter months. It’s good to know just exactly what has gone into it too. Also tried a mushroom soup but made it smooth, it tasted fine but next time I’ll use the ‘chunky’ option. The jug also can’t be submerged to wash it out as the heating element is fixed in the jug base, it has to be washed by hand but having used it, I find it does clean easily.

If you love soups and enjoy cooking or love soups and hate the cooking, it is worth the investment. As a high powered blender, it certainly does the job whether blending foods or ice etc. The flexibility is great and having soup in the dish without having to stand and stir a saucepan makes eating healthy options a whole lot easier.

It makes good smooth soups which are lovely and hot and if you want chunky soup you can still see the individual ingredients even though they get chopped quite small. I am also using this to make almond milk from whole almonds which I strain through a mesh bag. Foods can be roughly chopped in the machine so they cook through through in the 30 minute cycle. Plus there are additional controls if you just want to chop foods and serve without cooking. It also makes great smoothies. I think this is a very versatile piece of equipment. The glass container is quite heavy so may not be suitable for some people and you need to avoid getting the container wet on the underside due to the electronic connectors. The jug is as good a quality as many other blenders on the market and provided you leave to cool before trying to clean it's fine - you wouldn't put a scalding dish from the oven in the freezer!! We've made one or two of the recipes already and adapted for taste - Leek and Potato too garlicky even for us. Only reason for holding back on 5 stars, the unit doesn't quite get Jam hot enough to set - could add more pectin or finish in the jam pan as the unit does the prep for you. I have to admit that I thought this would be another machine I’d use once in a blue moon but when I DID use it I’d be glad to have it. How wrong was I!! This machine is absolutely FANTASTIC! I bought it to make soup (which it does brilliantly) but I’m finding myself using it for so many more things the soup making ability has turned into a bonus and not the main event! The smoothies are phenomenal (used once a day daily for these alone) , the frozen drinks are a lifesaver on a hot day and the sorbet that I’ve made beat restaurant quality.Making soup doesn’t get easier than this, it even sauté’s onions etc ready for cooking. Add on to that the easy virtually non existent clean up and I genuinely don’t know how I managed before I got it!
Thought long and hard before buying this blender and soup maker but so pleased I did. I’ve never bothered to make soup before as it seemed such a fuss involving a lot of stirring and sieving and using up a lot of my time but this machine does it all at the click of a few buttons. Chops and sautés, blends and makes great tasting smooth or chunky soups. Being new to soup making I especially like the Auto-iQ programmes but the manual controls do give you absolute precision when blending. However, the jug is really easy to clean using the self clean option.This is a very good quality, efficient blender and the pros far out way the cons.
The Ninja Foodi Soupmaker is very easy to operate, keeps you informed on its display what is happening and what you need to do. It makes outstanding soups, both smooth and with solid pieces.It is also very easy to clean as it has a cleaning programme which is thorough and quite quick.So far it has only been used to make soups but it has handled with aplomb all the ingredients that have been put into it, and the soups have been delicious.I have no doubt whatsoever that this machine will do all the things it claims to, and it is likely that these will come up to the same high standards I have already encountered.This machine is not cheap but it is of excellent quality.
