It’s a great blender definitely an upgrade from a regular Oster blender. I love the features and how the lid has a pitcher like top that can be opened to pour out liquids rather than removing the entire lid. I did have to get used to using it maybe the first 3 times because I didn’t know it had to be a certain way. It crushes everything and blends great. It’s very easy to clean just be careful with the blade because it does come off. Noise level is like a usual blender so not bad.

(Rewarded Review) I love smoothies again (because of this blender)!

Unless I've been willing to spend $6 or $7 on smoothies from one of those juice/smoothie bars, I've avoided them altogether because of the inconsistency of other blenders. The Ninja® Professional Plus Blender with Auto-iQ has changed that. I've used it almost daily, and no matter what types of fresh or frozen fruit I've used in my smoothies they have turned out amazing. A hint for those of you who use protein powder: if you make a smoothie and then add a scoop of your favorite powder and press the 'Ice Cream' button, it gives your smoothie/protein a milkshake-like consistency. While I'm not a huge frozen drink person, slushies, margaritas, and daiquiris would be a breeze using the Auto-iQ because of how easily it turns ice cubes into snow. For most people, the 1400 ... MoreUnless I've been willing to spend $6 or $7 on smoothies from one of those juice/smoothie bars, I've avoided them altogether because of the inconsistency of other blenders. When finished, you can rinse the blades and pitcher and throw them right in the dishwasher. Because of the locking lid, making smoothies in the morning has become a family event and the kids can make and pour their own smoothies without fear of the lid coming off and making a mess. The only thing I've had to get used to is just how sharp the removeable blades are. My wife laughs about this, but in the first week, I was walking around with Band-Aids on the backs of each of my fingers because I took for granted just how sharp the blades were when unloading the dishwasher. Handle with care. Lol.Of all the recent additions to my kitchen, this blender has definitely seen the most use and had the greatest impact.

Oh well, I figured. It must have been a faulty pitcher. I saw a few other people had the same issue. It was within the 90 day window, and Canadian Tire exchanged the entire blender for a new one. It worked great too! But after using the second one maybe 10 times in 2 months, its pitcher cracked in about the same place too. I don’t know what the deal is with the pitcher on this blender. I just returned it but this time did not exchange it. I am still trying to figure out what blender to get that is within my price range and will make beautifully smooth smoothies like this one ... MoreI got this blender on an awesome sale and was so excited about how well it works and the amazingly smooth smoothies it blended. Can't get replacement parts
15 March 2024

This is a great blender until you need replacement parts. My lid broke after about 2 years. Ninja doesn't sell blender replacement parts in Canada at all, and you can't buy the lid separately, only the full pitcher with lid. That costs almost the same as getting a new blender. This seems like planned obsolescence. Can't get the replacement parts, and if you can they are expensive. This is the second time this has happened to me with a blender. The other one was a Cuisinart.

Great blender, but pitcher cracks with minimal use
28 May 2023

I bought this blender one year ago. I have used it only to make smoothies and have treated it carefully. After several months I noticed cracks in the base of the pitcher starting at the gear for spinning the blade and radiating out towards the sides of the pitcher. These cracks got worse until the pitcher started to leak. There is a design flaw that makes the material of the pitcher unable to sustain the torque of the motor.I contacted customer service only to learn that the pitcher is not included in the warranty, even though this is apparently a known issue and is not caused by misuse of the product. They were eventually kind enough to send me a replacement at no cost; however, I have now used the new pitcher twice and am noticing similar cracks already ... MoreI bought this blender one year ago. Nothing this expensive should have this problem.

Highly recommended
5 September 2024

I received my blender as a gift one year for my birthday. However it stopped working and i contacted them for repairs. Once they assessed the problem, they realized it was not reparable. Honestly it was an easy smooth technical call. After all was said and done. I was upgraded from the model I had to the latest model. It’s been working so good for me. I’m so grateful and will always be a ninja appliance buyer. Nothing else! I highly recommend

Not good for protein shakes/smoothies
12 October 2024

I bought this to replace another Ninja blender that broke down. I assumed that this model, which seems designed for smoothies, would be awesome. Quite the opposite. It somehow wasn’t able to adequately crush ice and purée frozen fruit, leading to lumpy protein shakes. I often add peanut butter to the shake as well - but the blender couldn’t handle that either. I returned this and bought a Hamilton Beach blender for less money.

Will not blend any seeds smooth. Blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, chia seeds…etc. it leaves all the seeds in tact. Large chunks stick to the side and don’t fall down into the blades. The tall, multi tier blades make it very hard to spatula the solid food off the sidewalls so the blades can reach. You will end up doing that 5-6 times just to get a wet sand like consistency on chickpeas. There’s a hole in the bottom of the blade tower that lets the blades mount to the gear inside the blender. It’s impossible to dry after using the blender. So you have to leave the extremely sharp 6-blade tower out on the counter for 12 hours to air dry. Putting it back in the blender wet, would prevent it from drying. The lid also likes to hold water inside as the water builds up inside the “release button” on top. Can’t dry it out, water just keeps dripping out of the release button for a couple days.Would not buy if you want a blender that can make smooth work of berry seeds. Get a vitamix blender for that. Solid foods would be better with a food processor. This unit is more of an “in between” blender that does a mediocre job at both. Would only buy on a big red day for cheap

Only good for wet ingredients
12 October 2024

We have had this blender for 2 months. It is great for making Smoothies with frozen fruit. I was very unhappy to find out that I could not use this blender for making bread crumbs. The user manual specifically states:- DO NOT process dry ingredients with the Stacked Blade Assembly.- DO NOT perform grinding operations with the Stacked Blade Assembly.I called Ninja to ask if another blade could be purchased for using the blender for dry ingredients or for grinding and the answer was "No". This blender can only be used with the Stacked Blade Assembly.

I gave this to my wife for Christmas and she loves it. Smoothie bowls are quick and easy. The pitcher fits on to the base securely and the design of the lid makes a good deal when fastened in place. The motor has more than enough power to chop up the various frozen fruits used in smoothies. I haven’t made margaritas yet, that will be on New Year’s Day but I have no doubt it will be a breeze. Ordering online was easy and delivery was as advertised with updates on the shipment progress link. Overall, very satisfied.
