I was in the market for an ice cream and gelato maker, but didn't like the idea of having to freeze ingredients in advance. However, after some research, it seemed difficult to find a versatile machine that could make so many things, had a compressor to freeze, and was at a price point I would want to pay. After seeing so many people rave about the CREAMi, and with the availability of so many online recipes, I decided to purchase it. I have so far been happy with it. It's a very clever machine and the variety of items I've experimented with have all been successful. It seems to me that pretty much anything you freeze will create an enjoyable frozen treat. It is not as loud as a blender, so I don't mind it.

So far so good. We are huge fans of European gelato and are looking forward to developing our own gelatos. For now playing with recipes online. My first go was a cherry garcia clone (it's cherry season). That came out exceptional (with an egg custard base). I tried the chocolate ice cream recipe in Ninja recipes, and its not as good (eggs?). We did a Pistachio for my girlfriend, and that came out pretty good with a respin when we take it back out. I also tried an old fashioned sorbet (fresh cherries and bourbon). I like it, not sweet, and I think could be addictive with more sweet. but that never needs respin. Just take it out and eat. The most recent, matcha gelato, came out like the pros (again an egg base). It's easy to use, the directions are straightforward. ... MoreSo far so good. This is the best product I have purchased in a while. I have been trying to lose weight, but can't let go of desserts. If anyone can relate, you will love what you can do with the Ninja CREAMi Deluxe 11-in-1 Ice Cream Maker.I found several videos on social media showing how you can make healthy ice cream and lose weight. After seeing those videos, I was in. I decided to go with the 11 function so I could do more with it. So far, I have only used the Light Ice Cream and Mix-In function. I plan to use all of them eventually. To clarify, as I wasn't sure, but you use the Light Ice Cream function when using low sugar, low fat or sugar alteratives because they tend to freeze differently so the machine blade shaves down the ice cream at a different speed than it would ... To clarify, as I wasn't sure, but you use the Light Ice Cream function when using low sugar, low fat or sugar alteratives because they tend to freeze differently so the machine blade shaves down the ice cream at a different speed than it would regular milk and sugar due to thickness. With that said, I have made ice cream using protein shakes (Core Power 26g or 42g), a scoop of protein powder, fat free/sugar free pudding mix, and some collegen peptides, but no added sugars and it comes out tasting great; no sugar is actually needed or it would be too sweet. The recipe actually comes out to be around 62g protein, and 23g carbs; and that's if you eat the entire 24oz pint, which is difficult because it comes out dense. It has taken me and my husband several sittings to eat one 24oz pint. I have used chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and strawberry/banana protein shakes and it tastes so good. I have added honey graham crackers as mix-in for some added excitement. With using the cheesecake favored pudding mix, this ends up tasting like strawberry/banana cheescake. The machine is not hard to put together or take apart and it's very easy to clean. Although my husband gave me a hard time about getting the machine (thinking it was just another gadget), he loves the ice cream and is now hooked. If you're looking for another way to eat your desserts healthier, this is a win, win and you won't be disappointed. This machine does scoopable treats like, ice cream, sorbet, gelato and drinkable treats like shakes, frozen yogurt, slushi, creamiccino, italian ice. You can add all types of mix-ins for the scoopable ice cream, such as chocolates, nuts, fruits, candies, etc.

Anyways, many ppl review this product after the first impression which is usually at a point when they’re meticulously following instructions and being overly careful to do it all right. My experience with ninja products is that it’s best to familiarize yourself with them by slowly and carefully following instructions so that the initial results are consistent with what the instruction manual says they will be. After gaining a basic understanding of one of their products, you should usually be able to begin using them in a way that will vary from person to person so long as you aren’t pushing the limits of what any method of food processing/cooking/preparing would be capable of. By that I mean, you can usually utilize ninja products to create something outside of anything listed in the instructions (recipe wise). That’s still true with the ninja creami deluxe. I used to love blue bell’s strawberry cheesecake ice cream as well as a Kroger brand light ice cream southern butter pecan, but sadly I do not remember the last time I saw a gallon of strawberry cheesecake and it seems Kroger has discontinued either a couple flavors from their light ice cream line or just the one I liked because I have not been able to find it for over a year and struggled to find it for even longer than that. I purchased this ninja creami deluxe because we own quite a few ninja products.. each has been a game changer and great investment. This one is no different. The reason I have given it 4 stars when there’s so much hype over it, and I can see why as I’ve been and to create light versions of southern butter pecan AND strawberry cheesecake nearly identical to the originals.. is because there is one aspect of using this machine I’ve noticed could be an issue for many.. You basically have to reprocess your leftovers or pints every time they go back into the freezer. When you buy ice cream from the store.. you can scoop a serving size you want, put the container back into the freezer, and feel confident it will be consistently fresh each time you return for more. Outside of issues like freezer burn or problems that affect any kind of food that goes in a freezer, your ice cream is almost always guaranteed to be very close to the way you left it the last time you had some. That’s not the case with this. Yes once you freeze it and process it, you will usually find results you’re very pleased with (again.. provided you understand the machine), but unless you eat the entire pint in a sitting, you will be storing your leftovers in the freezer. The next time you go for your pint, it will be frozen hard as brick and once again require processing. The fact that you need to reprocess.. makes it a fact that left overs should be left in the pint that came with the machine so you can reprocess. This can make trying to prepare when you think you will want a certain flavor ready somewhat difficult. Unless you have a ridiculous amount of freezer space (we have two decently sized freezers) and are willing to purchase additional ninja pints (I bought just two more), you will likely run into the issue of being unable to have fresh ice cream in the amount you want at the time you want. In other words, if you’re eyeballing this thinking you’ll be and to make a couple of gallons of your ideal flavors with it to go for anytime you’re craving ice cream, that’s not going to be the case IF you’re planning to process and store in a container of your choosing or anything like what store bought ice cream comes in. You will need to likely leave it in a ninja pint to be reprocessed every time you go for it. That’s been my experience at least with very little exceptions as there has been A flavor that kept well and didn’t harden too much after being stored in the freezer in one of our storage containers. So long as that isn’t an issue.. then you’ll likely be very pleased with this product. Especially if you’re interested in lighter options.
The Ninja Creami Deluxe 10-in-1 Ice Cream and Frozen Treat Maker is a definite upgrade on the ice cream maker that I previously owned. This unit is streamlined, professional looking, and fits conveniently beneath my kitchen cabinets (around 17 inches tall x 8 ½ inches wide x 12 inches long). Solidly built, as I’ve come to expect Ninja products to be, and aesthetically pleasing in a silver and black color palette, this appliance will look great in any kitchen. This particular version of the Creami is an upgrade on both the 5-in-1 and 7-in-1 versions that now allows you to make frozen yogurt, Italian ice, Creamiccinos, and other frozen drinks, in addition to the previous ice cream, lite ice cream, sorbet, gelato, milkshakes, mix-ins, and smoothie bowels. The included recipe booklet and Quick start guide are extremely handy when learning how to operate the machine. Reading them first will give you some invaluable tips on how to produce a successful product.Assembly out of the box requires simply placing a lidless frozen pint container inside of the outer bowel, attaching the lid to the outer bowel and sliding and snapping the outer bowel onto the base. Two 24oz pint containers with lids are included and more can be purchased separately as needed. A removable paddle sits in the lid of the outer bowel and blends or folds the ingredients together to produce the desired product. All of the removable parts are top rack dishwasher safe but to extend their life I definitely recommend hand washing and air-drying. Use of the machine requires 3 steps -the selection of a processing mode (Top, Full, or Bottom dependent on what part of the frozen pint you want processed), turning the dial to select the designated program for your treat (10 options), and then pressing that dial to start the process. So far I have made coffee flavored ice cream, pineapple sorbet, and lemonade Italian ice using the Creami Deluxe. All of the finished products rival any product that I can purchase in a store. Next time I make ice cream I will use more milk and less cream since I feel like it was extremely rich. I will also use canned fruit in heavy syrup vs. light syrup since I prefer a sweeter tasting sorbet. Trial and error will be my friend as I explore the possibilities that the Creami offers and I’m sure I’ll happily devour all of my experiments. I found that I was able to sidestep the requirement that ingredients be frozen for 24 hours prior to processing when I figured out that my deep freezer could solidly freeze the ingredients in a little over 12 hours vs. the 16-20 hours that my refrigerator’s freezer took. The deep freezer did cause both my sorbet and my Italian ice to have a grainy texture after their first processing but reprocessing the pints using the Re-Spin button resolved that issue. I recommend keeping some pints prepped in your freezer for whenever you want a spur of the moment treat since pre-freezing is a requirement. In addition, the purchase of additional pint containers will be needed if serving a large number of people. The Ninja Creami Deluxe offers an infinite number of frozen treat options by consolidating the performance of numerous other kitchen appliances into one system. This would make a great gift for the foodie in your life or as a welcome addition to your Ninja line of kitchen appliances.
While watching the demonstration of this product it looked great. It was described so that you could use "no sugar" added canned fruit to make a great dessert. I was very interested since in the past year I have lost over 70 pounds eliminating sugar and high fructose corn syrup from my diet. After carefully reading the owners manual it was recommended NOT to use "no added" and "sugar free" canned items because it could damage the product and/or could produce poor results. It was recommended to use agave instead, but agave has virtually the same results as sugar does with respect to weight gain or loss. The recipe booklet that was included looked great but virtually all the recipes were heavy on the added sugar needed to produce a delicious product. I guess I am back ... ave only had this about 4 days and we love it so far. We made the following: salted caramel ice cream, Oreo cookies and cream ice cream, creamicino, and a sorbet. The ice creams were so good. They were very creamy and much better than store bought. Thr creamicino was amazing! It tasted better than a certain coffee shop that sells them for $7. Wasn’t impressed with the sorbet but that may have been my fault for not making it sweet enough. The options for mix ins are never ending and really easy to do. I purchased 4 extra pints on Amazon for $23 and have rocky rd, mint chocolate chip, fruity cereal, wedding cake, and a pumpkin creamicino waiting in my deep freezer. Some recipes I’ve used I got from the included booklet and some I got online as there are thousands ... Moreave only had this about 4 days and we love it so far. I purchased 4 extra pints on Amazon for $23 and have rocky rd, mint chocolate chip, fruity cereal, wedding cake, and a pumpkin creamicino waiting in my deep freezer. Some recipes I’ve used I got from the included booklet and some I got online as there are thousands online. Recipes are fairly easy and can be made with stuff that is probably already in your pantry. So far we are wondering why we didn’t get one sooner. I just hope it can hold up to all the use it’s gonna get this summer!
I'm a Michelin-trained chef, and I've worked with the PacoJet. I know that machine well, and I can't say enough good about the Ninja Creami.Honestly I don't generally care for Ninja products (like why would you go with a ninja blender when you could get a nutribullet for the same money or less), but this machine is brilliant. They absolutely killed it. Good build quality. Well thought out. Sounds like they worked out some kinks from the original.Don't listen to reviews saying you need to stick with Ninja's recipes. I've been developing new formulas for this machine with impunity. You just need to understand the necessary balance of water, fat, sugar, and protein in frozen desserts.I'm really not sure I would change anything. Highly recommend. I honestly don't ... I honestly don't believe that traditional, internally cooled ice cream makers have anything to offer when you have this technology available.
The Ninja Creami 10 in 1 is a game changer for at home ice cream. The first big difference is that it removes the need to have ice cream salt, keeping the ice cream on ice while freezing, and the hours of stirring required from previous generations of ice cream makers. Second, the number of textures and frozen treats this machine will produce in a short period of time is a significant upgrade. In the box is the 10 in 1 ice cream maker, a mixing blade, two "Deluxe Pint" containers with lids, quick start guide and a recipe book. Second, the number of textures and frozen treats this machine will produce in a short period of time is a significant upgrade. In the box is the 10 in 1 ice cream maker, a mixing blade, two "Deluxe Pint" containers with lids, quick start guide and a recipe book. Once the blade is installed in the lid, there is no further installation required. To get started, find a recipe as this is the longest step in the process, for best results you'll need to combine the ingredients in the pint container and allow them to sit on a level surface in the freezer for 24 hours. For this review I made frozen hot chocolate in the first pint container and canned fruit sorbet in the second container. The recipe book is easy to follow and the recipes are quick to put together. Once the instructions are followed and the pint has been frozen for 24 hours, you then seat the pint in the outer container, snap on the lid, and select the desired treat. The process for starting is to first select the desired blending, the options are top half of the pint, full pint, or bottom half (think leftover 1/2 pint or two flavors from the same base pint). Then select what level of blending is desired, the options are: ice cream, lite ice cream, sorbet, gelato, frozen yogurt, Italian ice, milkshake, slushy, frozen drink, creamiccino. The last two options are "mix in" and "re-spin", more on this later. For my first test, I used the frozen hot chocolate, which consists of hot chocolate powder and milk, freeze 24 hours, and then add in a bit more milk prior to blending. I added a few things such as chocolate syrup and mini marshmallows, which is a great feature of the Creami, the ability to tweak and change recipes however you see fit. After the milk was added to the frozen base, the pint gets placed in the outer container, lock on the outer lid, and place in the ice cream maker. I selected the creamiccino option for blending the full pint, and pressed the selector knob to get started. At this point, I was not prepared for the level of noise this machine would produce. What is occurring is that the blade is spinning rapidly while moving from top to bottom in the pint container, which for this setting takes 5 minutes. User beware, the first time you hit start, the noise may surprise you. The best comparison I can think of is that it sounds equivalent to the noise type / level of a shop vac. The noise is well worth it though, as the result was a creamy, well blended treat that was smoother and tasted even better like a popular fast food treat that rhymes with trosty. After the first taste, the teens decided they wanted to add some marshmallows and peppermint pieces to their treat. Mix ins are super easy to be added, after the initial blend, use a spoon to make a tunnel in the middle of the pint, and pour in the desired mix ins. Put the lid back on and select the mix-in feature, which will uniformly incorporate the mix in / candy / etc into the ice cream. Note the blade isn't for chopping, so any mix ins need to be cut up to desired size prior to adding. My next test was based on ingredients I already had in the pantry. I dumped two cans of pineapple tidbits into the pint container, froze for 24 hours, and blended on the sorbet setting. The result was the same texture as a sorbet, however it was a bit on the crumbly side due to the fact that I didn't use as much juice as the recipe called for. I scooped off the top two inches, gave to the kids, and then added rum and selected the re-mix option. The re-mix is a quick (~2 min) mix with the blade that resulted in a smooth uniform texture frozen drink that tasted fantastic. When finished, clean up is super easy. The blade is removable from the lid, and everything else is a quick easy wash by hand or dishwasher. No sticky mess left on the ice cream maker, and no areas that are hard to clean. From these tests, I'm confident this ice cream maker can produce anything from rich creamy ice cream to amazing frozen margaritas, and everything else in between. The flexibility to add in candy pieces, adult beverage, or multiple flavors for each half of the pint means that the possibilities are endless. I highly recommend this all in one ice cream maker based on the ability to make just about any frozen treat you can come up with.
First, don’t mistake this as an actual ice cream maker because it is not. At first I was extremely disappointed in this product because it felt more like a glorified blender but as I’ve been using it and learning how to create ice creams I’m actually enjoying how creamy it comes out. Of course that depends on what you’re using to make it. For instance, almond milk verses whole milk. Whole milk will produce a very creamy ice cream but almond milk comes out more like ice milk, not as creamy but not terrible either. I have a dairy intolerance so I used lactaid free whole milk and get a nice creamy texture. I also add 1/4 tsp of Xanthan gum to get an even creamier texture. Using a protein powder does the same. The sky is the limit with your flavor options. I haven’t ... MoreFirst, don’t mistake this as an actual ice cream maker because it is not. I’ve seen some have issues with the blade breaking and I’m not saying that didn’t happen but it could be from not seating the blade correctly. I could see that being a problem but maybe this device won’t run if it’s not.Another thing is that I’ve noticed that sometimes my ice cream mixture freezes very hard and I can hear this thing working hard and making an awful noise so I’m letting my mix sit out for 15-20 minutes before mixing in the creami, that seems to help.Another review mentioned how loud it is when mixing and it most definitely is so plan ahead lol. There will be no sneaking ice cream without others knowing…possibly even your neighbors. It’s that loud. All in all we are enjoying it.
