i purchased these knifes to replace what was my current WUSTHOF set. I had this set for about 20 years, they are starting to show their age. I am defiantly not regretting this purchase what so ever. I bought these for a couple reasons and that's they are a solid knife and come with a built-in sharpener. they will last for a long time. only complaint that I have. My bread knife came slightly damaged. its not going to affect its performance but the blade has what i would describe as a dip into the cutting edge. almost like it was ground in to far and also looks like its dented in that spot. I will also add that I like the fact that you can buy a new ceramic stone for the unit and not have to replace the whole thing just because of that.

Just place the knife inside the appropriate size slot and then pull the lever all the way up and then down, multiple times. It has slot for the small knife and a slot for the bigger knives.
