I love this ice cream machine! It wasn’t love at first sight, my first try I’ll admit I hated the machine and wanted to give it away. After trial and error, I cannot be without this gadget. The preparation is easy peasy. The instructions come with lots of recipes. Mix, freeze for 24 hours and spin the ice cream in the machine. The key is to process it as ice cream and then do respin. The respin function gives the creamiest consistency. I have celiac and finding a good gluten free Oreo ice cream is hard. Not anymore. Spin, toss in cookies, spin again and tada! I have a child with sensory processing issues, she avoids artificial dyes. I can make her fun colored ice cream using natural food dye sources. It’s fantastic. I would have liked to rate this a 4.5 because it does have some slight cons, but obviously there was not that option, so I rounded to a 5. There are cons, but all of them are expected, so I don't mind them and don't mind bumping the rating up to a 5. Here's my pros and cons listpros- can make sorbets/ice creams that fit your diet- it always comes out very smooth- the actual blending process is quick- very beginner friendly- easy to use- options are limitless- easy clean upcons- leaves outer ring of whatever you're making on the cup (i assume because the blade needs to be a safe enough distance to not chop the plastic)- need to wait for it to freeze (but i don't mind because it allows me to look forward to something and not go crazy with it)- ... It's not terrible, but it's a little bit inconvenient. While it is inconvenient I do understand why it happens, and I don't think it is very fixable. All things considered, I still thoroughly enjoy this product and it is one of my favorite appliances I own. Amazing product.

So, I went out on a limb, and decided to try one of these, as I am an ice cream fanatic. I read the instructions COMPLETELY, and went online and watched several YouTube videos on how to use it. I started with the basic vanilla ice cream recipe, but modified it by adding Half-and-Half instead of milk. In addition, I used heavy whipping cream (I couldn’t find heavy sweet cream, anywhere), and I’m glad that I did :-) I added the sugar, vanilla extract, and a nice heaping tablespoon of Philadelphia cream cheese. I whisked it up in a mixing bowl until everything was thoroughly dissolved, poured it into the pint container and froze it for 24 hours. I used the ice cream mode, and after the first pass when it was finished, I opened the container and saw that the ice cream ... I went on to make another batch of vanilla ice cream, but instead of sugar, I added citrus honey to it instead using the same ingredients as before. That too came out ultra creamy, and it’s probably the best honey flavored ice cream I have ever had! The only thing that I can suggest to folks is that if your ice cream comes out to lumpy or frosty, use Half-and-Half instead of milk, and you’ll notice an incredible difference. In addition, I found absolutely no problem whatsoever using heavy whipping cream, as the consistency is incredibly smooth, and better than any ice cream I have ever had out of the container. Needless to say, I think this is the best investment I have ever made over buying ice cream over the years. This will pay for itself in no time flat, as we are all ice cream connoisseurs in this family! If you like ice cream, I HIGHLY recommend this, as if you read the instructions and follow them. EXACTLY, this will go far above your expectations. In addition, take out the time and watch some of the YouTube videos to get a better understanding of using the machine to get the absolute best results. Enjoy!

I hesitated because of all the reviews stating you need to put cream cheese in to bind your ice cream. I got it when it was on sale, and I love every minute with it. I use it every day, never ever have I put cream cheese in my recipes. I follow the advice of other users and I use pudding mix, cookie or cake mix. I have also tried Xanthan gum, everything works and makes my ice cream nice and creamy. I never had ice crystals in it. All I have to do is practicing on my skills getting the mix-ins throughout the entire pint. But I am getting there, getting better every day. This machine is awesome and very easy to clean. Wash by hand or in the top rack in the dishwasher, wipe the shaft, that's it. Make sure you have enough containers, I ordered extra already.
I was so excited to get my ninja creami after seeing all the hype about it and seeing videos on TikTok. Once it finally came I was sad to find out that I had a bad part and that I would need a replacement. Unfortunate, but okay that happens. Well I got the replacement part a few days after that. Once again, I am SO EXCITED to finally use this thing and make ice cream. Open up the replacement parts they sent me and IT STILL DIDN’T WORK. I am so frustrated. The customer service agent made me video call them to prove I cut the power cord on the old unit before I threw it away. Would not expedite shipping for me either or really try to remedy this besides saying “sorry.” I was recommending this product to all my friends and coworkers hyping it up, but after the ... Hoping my replacement will actually work this time.
I bought this in the summer and we tried many of the recipes. I have a yonana and a VitaMix as well that make similar items. This is less messy than the Yonana but the “dole whip” from the yonana is creamier and fluffier. I ran the Creami 3-4 times and still didn’t get that smooth consistency you look for with Dole Whip. The ice creams were good. I’ve had more luck with trying traditional ice cream bases in it. The heavy cream based ones without the eggs tend to be oily in your mouth. We’ve tried a few of the lower calorie or protein options and they do the trick and satisfy a craving. Obviously, not the same as a traditional ice cream but great for me.My favorite thing to prepare are smoothie bowls. My vitamix does smoothies, yes, but these are thicker in the ... I have frozen fruit and sometimes just put that in without having the prepare the container beforehand.By extra containers if you have a family. You want a couple in the freezer ready to use when the craving hits! My teen makes his own when he has cravings and it’s saved me some $$ on more premium pint ice creams.Just my honest opinion!
This is the best investment I’ve made in some time! I am blown AWAY by how creamy this machine makes ice cream; it gives it such a great mouth feel. I have only made real ice cream once in it and it was delicious BUT the real game changer are the high protein, low calorie ice creams you can make in this machine. The picture I attached is my favorite treat. It’s an 11.5 oz bottle of my favorite protein shake, 2T peanut butter powder, 1T of sugar free butterscotch pudding and 1 serving of Butterfinger bits mixed in. The whole container is only 325 calories, 7.5 g fat, 9g sugar and a whopping 38g protein! And it tastes SO decadent! I could easily eat this every night. In fact, I just finished a pint. I really want to be the spokesperson for this product
First I must say the Rose Gold Ninja Creami is absolutely exquisite and matches my kitchen appliances perfectly.I am literally in dairy free, sugar free, chemical free ice cream, milkshake and sorbet heaven!!I have made the most delectable, creamy, incredible tasting dairy free, sugar free vanilla, strawberry, banana, maple walnut, mint chocolate chip, butter pecan (using vegan butter), watermelon, chocolate-chocolate, raspberry, orange, pineapple, coffee and peach ice cream since I received my Ninja Creami about 3 weeks ago. I make three pints at a time so I always have my most favourite treat of all time any time I like. Even if I don't use the entire pint I either let it sit to liquefy and refreeze or just smooth down the remaining portion in the container and put it back in the freezer. When I want to have some more I simply take it out of the freezer and "Re-Spin."The Ninja Creami 30+ Recipes booklet that comes with the unit has excellent dairy free versions of many superb ice creams. As well, there are a plethora of dairy free, sugar free, keto, paleo and more recipes for the Ninja Creami on YouTube. I find the Skinny Flavoured and/or Torani Syrups (sugar free) create an amazing, flavourful, creamy, delicious ice cream. I have used Lillys sugar free chocolate, white chocolate and caramel chips as well as pecans, almonds and walnuts as mix-ins. Simply make a whole in the middle of the creamy ice cream (I use an apple corer) add in whatever your heart desires and press "Mix-Ins." For all dairy free ice creams select the "LITE ICE CREAM" and do a "Re-Spin" needed.I have made 4 regular ice cream flavours with heavy cream, sugar and other regular ingredients for friends and neighbours and they can't believe I made it myself in my own kitchen. Then I show them how the Ninja Creami creates homemade heavenly ice cream and they are in awe at the texture and speed in which this machine makes awesome desserts. The fresh fruit sorbets are outstanding and made with fresh fruit only-no magic here, just fresh, flavourful, nature's own fruit. Pack the fruit well, freeze, select Sorbet and voila...exquisite, creamy, gorgeous, fresh fruit sorbet... heavenly again. There are reviews that comment on how loud the machine is but I don't find this an issue at all. Realize that the Ninja Creami packs a powerful punch of 1700 watts and is breaking through and creamifies a solid block of completely frozen mixture. This is a powerful machine that creates the most beautiful, creamy desserts from literally a frozen brick. One must expect the machine to be loud to be as efficient as it is.I have tried every store bought sugar-free, dairy-free, keto ice cream out there are not one comes close to the creamy, delicious, fresh ice cream and milkshakes the Creami Ninja can make. As well you can make the freshest and most delicious sorbets, gelato and smoothie bowls in your own kitchen, any time, any day. Again I say, "I'm in heaven!"The only limits to the amazing desserts you can create in the Creami Ninja is your imagination.
Purchased 9/11/22, Received 9/16/22 - I generally like my CREAMi, but have made some observations. I got the Rose Gold version, and I've had mine for over a month and have had no operational issues. It is straight-forward to operate, but I do wish it had a beep to let me know when it's done. When processing my first Gelato the machine did rock about, so that I had to place my hand atop it to stabilize it. It did think it would hit my DualBrew or K-Mini. But, did not make the machine useless, it just needs a more stable base than the one it currently has.I have had mostly successful results with my desserts. But, did not make the machine useless, it just needs a more stable base than the one it currently has.I have had mostly successful results with my desserts. My 1st was Strawberry, and it was awesome even without cream cheese. I did have one Hazelnut Coffee ice cream become crumbly, even after "Re-spin". But, this was user error, as the recipe I used was Vegan. I used the ICE CREAM program, when I should have used LITE ICE CREAM. I used ICE CREAM because I substituted the vegan ingredients for regular ones. Oh well, it still tastes amazing! My gelatos are my favorites! I have made two Butter Pecan varieties. The ice creams: Butterscotch & Rice Pudding, Chocolate Peanut butter Toffee Crunch, Chocolate Fudge Chunk, and Faery-Berry Vanilla; two sorbets: Tropical Fruit, and Pineapple Chunk. My freezer is full of ice cream now.Sadly today, when I was cleaning the bowl lid top, it fell in the sink and a small piece broke off. A small black piece that was under the light-grey LID LOCK button popped out. I thought I would have to buy a new bowl lid. But upon inspection I discovered that the "glue" weakened and the piece dislodged. I could put it back in place, but it wouldn't stay fastened, so I had to super-glue it. The engineering in the bowl lid's lock is bizaar & makes no sense to me why it was designed like this. I am hoping it will not affect future operatability of my CREAMi. See my pictures of the broken lid and my repair. I am also noticing small scratches on the inside of one of my pint containers. The manual clearly states this will happen eventually. I just hope I don't see pieces of plastic in my dessert, as others have mentioned. To address three complaints: 1) You do NOT have to use cream cheese, you can leave it out; it's not absolutely required.2) Preparing the dessert 24 hours ahead of time is part of the process. Everyone knows with the CREAMi you have to freeze your dessert 24 hours ahead of time. This is not a secret; there is no place anywhere (blogs, videos, recipes, etc.) where this is NEVER mentioned. If you can't take the time to make your ice cream, then why are you doing it all?3) The noise is no louder than a regular blender or food processor. Any machine with moving parts, especially a blade, is going to be loud. All in all I am happy with it, except for the previously mentioned issue with the bowl lid and containers.
got it for our 39th anniversary because I wanted something that we can control the ingredients and provide healthier options. Downloaded about 15 recipes and have tried about 6 so far in just 10 days. One thing I haven't seen in downloaded recipes is using the single serve water bottle flavor packets to add flavor to the ice cream. They come in many flavors that you won't find in ice cream stores; grape, watermelon, ginger ale, root beer, and many, many more. Add about 1/2 packet to a pint of vanilla ice cream before freezing. My only concern is the small metal springs in the mixing lid that will eventually corrode and break. I don't see any way to replace them or keep them dry by disassembling the lid; suggest getting an extended warranty to mitigate this.
