Awesome blender!! Powerful and the design makes chopping ice easy! Chops it super fine to a slushie type texture. The blade in the center is genuis for this and the wattage is at 1000. You will be getting one of the most powerful here on Wayfair. The pitcher is large enough to make multiple people drinks which is what I can appreciate. Also the design of the pitcher lid is also very nice how it secures the blade and has a pour spout and a snap down secure feature and suction for easy lift off. Tip, when lifting off the lid open the pour spout the let the pressure out then liftoff is a breeze. This is a blender above the rest!

Great purchase

This was so easy to use! After using a $30 one for 10 years- that took my açai bowls 20 min to make- this made it in 2 minutes. I use it only once a week… I hesitated to purchase it because of other reviews about it. If I review this blender within its price range I would say this is a great purchase for the cost. Please do not compare this blender with a vitamix- the vitamix is $300 it’s in a different class. This blender is easy to use, it doesn’t leak (like my previous blender). It feels so secure while blending - it doesn’t wobble. The cover is tightly in place too. I love the spout in the corner to pour out whatever you just made.

I bought this blender at Costco during a post holiday price reduction. This thing will puree a brick; making everything from smoothies to powdered pecans is a snap. Pro tip: pick up a travel mug, bag of pressure dressings and bottle of hydrogen peroxide, and have your favorite medic on speed dial so that when you go to clean the blades you'll be prepared for your trip to the emergency room with smoothie in hand. Other hand. Seriously, have a long stem washing device for the blades, as they can cut you just by looking at them. Seriously, a great blender!

Manufacturer's defect on pitcher

I dont really take the time to write product reviews but I feel like I need to warn consumers about this blender. I got this blender for christmas 2021 and started using it recently. I rarely use it because I have a Cusine art Food Processor. I made smoothies a handful of times and noticed 2 small cracks on the bottom of the pitcher. One day I made Horchata and found liquid leaking from the bottom of the pitcher only to realize that the crack had gotten longer. I call the customer service and showed them a video of the unusual crack on the bottom of the pitcher and they offered to sell me another pitcher. I told the representative that the cost of the replacement pitcher is about the same price as the product brand new, so she offered to sell it to me for half price ... MoreI dont really take the time to write product reviews but I feel like I need to warn consumers about this blender. I just got the replacement pitcher and realized that the new pitcher also has the two long crack marks on the bottom. If I start to use the new pitcher the crack is just going to get deeper, leak and Im going to be left with the same problem. Avoid this product plain and simple.

Not so great

When our $30 Oster burnt up I inquired with family and friends on their Ninja- all had high praise of theirs and recommended. Made my first protein smoothie and it took 3x longer to get blended smooth; the spinach leaves were shredded into big pieces. I had to take lid off 3x and scrape down the bits of spinach and strawberries to get blended back into mixture as the blades throw up and outwards. Never have had that issue with inexpensive standard type blenders. Still ended up with bits of spinach sticking to tongue & teeth! The blades did not rinse off easily and in trying to get clean without using gallons of water, sliced my finger open- okay, my fault. But, again, frozen fruit and yogurt should not stick that bad to the blades. The blades did not rinse off easily and in trying to get clean without using gallons of water, sliced my finger open- okay, my fault. But, again, frozen fruit and yogurt should not stick that bad to the blades. Was going to put in dishwasher, but then I noticed the blender carafe, upside down, would hold likely almost a cup of water in the compartments that lock into base unit. (Our Viking dishwasher does not have a heater drying coil, so I knew it would just hold all that water and just sit there and create more humidity to other dishes drying.) So dishwasher cleaning is out! Investigating results with my nephew and daughter that love their Ninja blender- they both have the 1400 watt unit, where this one is 1000 watts (and neither of them have dishwashers). Still- my old blender was only 800 watts and never had issues with spinach or kale and was smooth in drastically less time. Apologies for the long review; I avoid writing negative reviews, but disappointed that I spent 3x the $$ for these results. Our primary use is making frozen fruit protein smoothies. However, I'm sure it will make great margaritas after doing the "ice to snow" as Ninja demo shows.

Perfect for making veggie smoothie and juice
1 April 2023

I bought this machine just this morning, because I can't find a no salt veggie juice similar to Motts or PC blue menu, so decided to make my own. I took a small bag of mixed veg, added 2 large glasses of water, two 369 ml cans of tomato paste, some salt-free and pepper and horseradish (1% salt) and put this machine on high... It made an excellent veggie smoothie, and when I had a bit of smoothie stuck in the bottom of the glass, I added a bit of water. It made an awesome, smooth veggie juice... I love this machine! Even better, it's a no frills blender... Low, med, high, and pulse buttons... That's it, that's all!! Great machine!

Power like crazy

So I bought this blender to make acai bowls and smoothies but make it a staple in my appliances. It’s got a lot of power , like more then you would need to blend most stuff down. All three settings work well( low, medium , hi) but I find myself only using pulse to control it even more . The blender won’t blend unless the lid is sealed and locked into place which is great for no mishaps . I gave it 4 stars because the blade does not stay in when pouring . Please remember to take it out when pouring unless what your pouring is enough to not tip the pitcher completely over . Blade flew out and cut my finger . So remember this is not one with a blade that stays glued inside of it completely. Side note I failed to use the pouring spout which would’ve prevented said cut . ... MoreSo I bought this blender to make acai bowls and smoothies but make it a staple in my appliances. Really recommend if you want a high powered massive blender to pair with everyday use. Don’t use it immediately after rinsing with hot water , that’s how you break anything glass or plastic .

Save your money and buy a round, glass blender
4 June 2023

Not even worth the low $60 price. Save your money and buy a round glass blender - this one is definitely not it! As others have mentioned it doesn’t actually blend the ice up and smoothies end up super chunky, no matter how long you blend for. You frequently have to open it back up and push down the ice / contents so that the blades actually hit it. It’s also very difficult to clean the blades and one blade ended up puncturing deep into my thumb. The only thing I can imagine this is good for is slicing up vegetables. Don’t buy it for anything else.

I was a little deterred from purchasing this blender because there were really a lot of negative reviews on it but the more I read the negative reviews the more I realize that I don’t think a lot of people understand how a blender works. This blender seems like it’s perfectly fine to me all you have to do is read the instructions now one thing I don’t like is that the blade doesn’t lock or pop in that’s kind of a faulty design to me that it can just pop out but before you pour the smoothie, the directions tell you to just take the lid off and take out the blade and then it’s easy to pour so I don’t understand what the problem is and for a lot of people saying that the blender cracked for them I can only assume that happened because people probably put in large ... MoreI was a little deterred from purchasing this blender because there were really a lot of negative reviews on it but the more I read the negative reviews the more I realize that I don’t think a lot of people understand how a blender works. It only seems like something like this would crack if you were really rough with the product, it seems like it’s very sturdy and well-made and honestly it looks like one of the best blenders I’ve ever purchased. I definitely can see this one lasting for a long time so as far as I’m concerned right now, I don’t have any problems and I can’t wait to use it.

obnoxious stupid dangerous design

This blender has a dangerous design. The insanely sharp blade just sits in there willie nillie not being clipped in at all. Most people make a smoothie and then mindlessly pour it. I've just broken a cup while I was holding it because while I was just pouring and the blade flew out and shattered it cutting up my hand. I've almost done this many times. Say I'm not a regular person who mindlessly pours drinks and remember that it is an obnoxious problem, am I supposed to dig my germy fingers into and ice cold smoothie and take the blade out so it drips everywhere and THEN pour it? Seriously a stupid obnoxious dangerous design that is an annoying problem every single time I use it. I wish I would gotten something else, how hard would it have been to just make sure it ... MoreThis blender has a dangerous design.
