I was very impressed by the ease of washing up the cooking trays, cleaned by hand washing with very little effort - although I note it can all go in the dishwasher too.My passion is home baking so I tried the apple cake recipe provided by Ninja in the Ninja Combi Inspiration Guide which was included with the product. I live alone and enjoyed the size of the oven and the fact you are not restricted on container size when using the air frier but Iām afraid the fact that it didnāt have the dual temperature option that my other Ninja has, swayed my decision to return. I like the toaster option which was really useful and I miss that as I now have to go back to using my toaster again! Unfortunately I couldnāt get on with the numerous Combi options - too many of them for me and the instruction book is severely lacking in instructions and ideas. Obviously everything new has a test phase but quite often I ended up cooking with my fingers crossed and poor results.

I love Ninja products! I have the 10qt Dual Bin Smart airfryer, 6-in-one indoor Foodi Smart Grill XL, Foodi 14-in-1 SMART XL 8 Qt. Pressure Cooker Steam/Crisp, Smart Flip Dual Heat AirFryer, Waffle Maker, Woodfire Pro XL Smart and so looked forward to Ninja's Combi cooker. As much as I wanted to really like this appliance, I hate it and rarely use it. It pains me to think I'll be taking a $200 appliance to the Goodwill! Rice and pasta are either much, dried out but never cooked properly. Crisping w/airfryer a protein on the cooker tray stacked on top of the bake pan on the hot plate splatters grease all over the inside of he cooker and it's incredibly difficult to clean which you MUST do after every cook otherwise the unit smokes and passes that burnt grease into ...Ā MoreI love Ninja products! So maybe Ninja would stop pumping out products that attempt to do everything but really only do one or two things great. Please Ninja take this unit back to the drawing board and ditch the airfryer...

I operate like this- single mother who works 10-12 hours a day- i prepare everything, leave it in cooking pan and/or baking tray /minus the liquid that goes with pasta and rice, i keep that in separate jar/ ā¦leave on worktop or fridge if needed. When my darling son, who is 17 calls me saying what is there to eatā¦šā¦.i just tell him- cooking pan goes to level 1, baking tray level 2, turn the switch left/right, set program so and so, temperature so and so, time so and so. Inside itās a bit like the Tardis in that itās surprising how much will fit, easily swallowing six large stuffed chicken breasts and some rice and cooking them simultaneously, in quick smart time for an easy meal. I think you lose some ...Ā MoreI was sent this machine to review by Ninja.Ahead of it I was excited, as a lover of all things Ninja I was hoping I could finally find a way to cook a family pizza without turning on the oven, but alas, it won't take a Lidl pizza! Unless you slice it, of course.Anyway, I got straight into the book and decided to try the recipes as it seemed a little complex to understand. First observations, it has a good size space for cooking. I think you lose some flavour through the speed, I'd do a second prove and add a little more salt than the book stated.Made a pasta, meatball bake with broccoli using the combi meal function and recipe book. Game changer!! I scoffed at the "claim" I could saute my onions in the oven first...but oh my goodness, it worked! This easily would feed a family of 4-6 depending on your hunger. I was mightily impressed by the convenience of this, all cooked in one place almost simultaneously . There is an error in the book here around functions but it was simple to work out.I cooked a full Sunday morning fry up with roast toms, again, loads of space. Cooked sausages from frozen at lightening speed and I loved the ease. I also tried a couple of baked eggs on the top tray. Whilst this worked I wouldn't recommend as the fan speed caused some mess on the inside of the oven.Baked oats??? Nailed it! And yes, you can make many in one hit using the small glass dishes and clip lids for storage.Finally. The batch bake, and this is where the oven came in to it's own. When I baked brown rice, roast veg and chicken AT THE SAME TIME which made enough for 5 lunches for the week. Wow, just wow! Now, I will say that the recipe book suggests you cook the grain for the time of the protein, that wasn't long enough. So I put the rice back in on auto-rice programme, and that finished it perfectly. This oven is unbeatable for that function alone, and is so much faster and cheaper than using my main oven.The pros: batch cooking, pretty neat looking, batch cooking, ninja deep baking tray is excellent quality, family meal magic in one hit, quieter than my 15-1, easier to use. Did I mention batch cooking?!Cons: do not underestimate the amount of steam this oven produces. My husband was having an egg and kept opening the back door. Compared with boiling veg or pasta for the same meal it's on a par, but many people have an extractor fan over their hob to tackle that. On a cold damp day this would steam up my windows. The recipe book isn't great, it has mistakes, water for rice varies across the book, there are some mistakes around where to find settings and I still cant work out whether I must have water (and steam) for a combi bake. They spell this out so clearly for the 15 in 1, despite reading the book and checking the on oven instructions, I'm still not sure.However, I would recommend this all day long. It's around the size of a microwave and that's more counter top lost. I'm thinking it could easily replace my 15 in 1 which is huge!It's ideal for easy, no nonsense family meals. I love the bread function, I love it all. It's a great bit of kit.

It was like they were roasted but steamed at the same time because of the hot water you put into the pan. I cooked duck in the upper tray and it was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. Finally, I cooked the TGI Fridays chicken with chilli jam in it and the chicken and chilli Jam reminded me of the sweet chilli chicken from miller and Carter. I never anticipated that this combi oven would cook meat better than my actual oven, but it does, combi crisp is an amazing mode and I use this oven more than I ever thought I would. Now Iām excited to try other ideas with it like cooking pasta and a bolognese sauce in the bottom basket and putting the mince on top so that I can give my kids a meat free bolognese and then add the meat in for myself after. Iām also looking forward to Christmas where Iām going to have enough cooking space for everything I want to cook. I was going to use this oven for carrots and pigs in blankets as the pigs in blankets will be done in 15 mins and the carrots half an hour but Iām seriously debating at putting a joint of meat in because it does such a brilliant job. This was the ninja oven I never realised I needed and of course after giving my xl double stack to a family member Iām now going to get the smaller double stack for my kitchen so I can get perfect fries and nuggets for the kids. My kitchen has literally become a ninja kitchen in the last two weeks! š
