Processing fruits and veggies has never been easier until now. This appliance works wonders in my kitchen, I no longer need a seperate processor, smoothie blender or a mixer. It’s super lightweight and easy to use. I love everything about it. It’s aesthetically pleasing with the sleek design. Each component is programmed into the base machine so it knows which attachment I put on. The motor is very powerful. Usually in my standard kitchen blender it takes a few tries for me to get a smooth consistency but with this it’s basically done within seconds! My favourite go to now is scalloped potatoes. It used to take me 10-15 minutes of manually slicing 10 large potatoes using a mandolin, I did it all in 2. I was blown away by the fact that this appliance is all the good ... I've used this machine for over a year mostly to make smoothies. It did a great job at pulverizing frozen fruits and veggies into a very good smoothie. The blade was so sharp that I've accidentally cut myself just brushing against them while pushing spinach down around the blades. I wouldn't give it great marks for the food processor abilities. I've had real, separate machines for that before and they do a much better job. Unfortunately, it has suddenly stopped working. This is my second Ninja with a short life span. I've decided to invest in a Vitamix blender in hopes that it will last longer. And with the 10 year warranty on those blenders, at least I'll be able to return it if it dies out too soon.

This model is definitely a step up from the Ninja IQ which at the time I purchased it was the elite model for Ninja. This model the Ninja Foodi 401ss is definitely a better design with more power and nice options and upgrades. I love that you no longer need 2 separate pitchers to utilize all the options. This in fact saves a lot of space. I love the upgraded blade attachment for the cups. The power is great and it's so much more quieter then the older models that sound like you have a jet engine in your kitchen every time you used it! Don't get me wrong this model is not silent by no means. But the noise level is more to a typical level you would expect out of a powerful blender and not so obnoxiously loud. Now my one complaint is, I'm very disappointed that this model only provides one of each syle cup attachments. With that said be prepared to purchase aftermarket cups if you have more then one person you will be making smoothie for at a time. This package only comes with one 24oz cup and a 16oz new different style mixing cup. I feel at this price point what would really be the harm in one or two more cups being included in the package when it comes to profit margins. That is my main and pretty much only dislike!

I seriously needed a new blender. I bought this one because of the many options it has, but the main reason is to make acai bowls. It started out great, but now that I'm two months in, it just doesn't seem to blend my bowls very well. I thought the bowl maker cup would be great since it has the built in tamper, but not so much. Some of the ingredients are stuck at the top and don't make their way down to the blades, so my bowls are lumpy. And the bowl cup is too small for a standard bowl which requires two packs. So I have to make my bowl in two stages and a lot of cycling on the 10 speed setting. I also don't like that the manual setting only runs for 60 sec. Why can't it just run continuously until I decide to stop it? Also tried using the pitcher, but everything ... MoreI seriously needed a new blender. Why can't it just run continuously until I decide to stop it? Also tried using the pitcher, but everything was spread to the sides, so again, couldn't get a real smooth bowl. Also tried making a smoothie that just did not come out smooth no matter what I did. Seems like it only works great when making ninja specific recipes. Overall, not impressed for the price paid.
I have had this for 6 months now but wanted to wait a while before writing a review so I could have enough time to actually test it out. The shredder is great and saves a lot of time rather than hand grating veggies and stuff. The slicer is very helpful for making potato bake, I haven't tried slicing anything other than potato yet. It is a breeze for making smoothies and cocktails and has a much bigger capacity than the small ninja blender I own. Making raw cakes has been soo much easier now I used to have to blend them in batches in the small ninja blender but now I can just do it in one go. It is very powerful as the name suggests and all the blade attachments are very sharp! So be careful. I am yet to try the spice grinder and dough blade but I'm sure they are as ... it was a little overwhelming unboxing the Power Blender; it has SO many accessories! A quick skim read through the instruction manual was enough to get me started on washing and getting it all ready to use. Although a bit boring of me, the first thing I put through its paces was the power smoothie bowl. Within the first few seconds, I was impressed by the sheer power of the blending action I could see, as well as the suction cups on the base that kept it firmly on the kitchen bench. Small, but well-thought out features like this are what makes the difference between a quality appliance and one that's just functional, and the Power Blender Ultimate System packs more than a few! Everything locks in securely, and the accessories are intuitive to assemble and use, making this a simple grab-and-use appliance choice for a multitude of kitchen prep tasks.Slicing potatoes for a potato bake, or cabbage for a coleslaw is now quick, easy, consistent and takes no time at all. The processing function is quieter than previous processors I've owned, and with better results. The pre-set programs take the guesswork out of the most common functions, making it easier for cooks of all levels to prep with confidence. You won't be disappointed with this system!
Overall: Ninja needs to redesign the weak tabs on cups. They are crucial to operation yet they wear out right before your eyes. I've seen it!Pro:- I like the idea of all the components even though I've only used the blending for smoothies and grating blade for cheese.- Suction cups prevent the base from moving. They work!- Attractive lookingCon:- The 24 once cup's tabs at the top have disintegrated after only 2.5 months of use (!!!) This is important since these tabs lock into the blender machine/base to tell the blender it's OK to turn on and blend. No tab, no blending in the cup. Ninja customer service was responsive, gave me a replacement cup, but will I have to get a new one every 3 months? That was appreciated, but still I question the design. If these ... If these tabs are so important, make them reliable. Maybe glass instead of plastic?- So loud it can wake the dead- At this price point, there should be glass cups and a glass pitcher, not plastic. Glass is safer than plastic, food-wise, in my opinion.- Needs more manual control options
For the Blending and puree power alone, this is a great set to have in your kitchen (seriously, I make a lot of different sauces, soups with this set - including Tomato Base/Soup for pasta dishes, pureed soups, etc).I also like the dough function .. that is very helpful indeed when you have arthritis in your hands. Now be aware the blades are VERY SHARP -- so be careful -- but the fact that you can put these blades in top rack of the dishwasher and not have to risk hand washing them is also a good thing overall (just be aware of the fact they are sharp, so I always leave extra space around them in the top rack so I can safely remove them from dishwasher after cleaning.I enjoy the chute for cutting rounds of veggies (like Carrots for soups!). If there was an option to give more stars then I definitely would! Alongside the Ninja XL Grill, this little beauty is the most used machine in the household!Of course we started off with cocktails, but quickly began to see all of the amazing features this machine has. It was a lifesaver at Christmas, quickly slicing through the mounds of potatoes for lunch. I made onion relish for gifts this year and it took me less than 10 minutes for the machine to slice through 4kgs of onions (and without one tear in sight!)Not normally a baker, I have discovered the ease of making mixing with the dough hook and the kids love the ease of making smoothies and shakes. While its not incredibly quiet, it is not as loud as some other machines that I have used in the past. I have had this unit for several months now and done my best to put it through its paces. It makes fantastic smoothies, smoothie bowls, nut butters, dough, sauces, spice blends (thanks to the coffee grinder), and chopped or shredded veggies! As a busy mum I love that I can very quickly shred up some zucchini and carrot to chuck in a spag bol sauce, or smuggle into sausage rolls.I can even slice my potatoes for a potato bake much faster than with my V slicer, and we could all use extra time.If you also like to food prep you can grate and freeze zucchini, carrot, and cheese using the shredder plate.*Tips*: clean as you go!
